I know getting a bluepost about specific topics is relatively rare now, but I feel this is definitely one where we need a form of explanation if this change does go through.Boosting people so that they can reach max level (especially when they have already leveled more than once) hurts nobody and is another way to boost up the economy. Please revert this change.
It's almost like leveling is fun and so people aren't pushed to do stuff like this to get to max level. Lmao. Glad to see their focus is on polishing 8.2 and not arbitrary items like this.
I feel like I am one of those people who approve this thing. Is the game perfect? Far from it, but this seems to be a thing that shouldn't had been a thing to begin with. So they fixed it. That is a win in my book. After all a lot of people make the game, so it's not like the entire wow dev team worked alone on this thing. It was most likely a side project that finally got finished that is addressing an issue.
Some people mentioned Red Bandana to see XP lock. This is not a reliable method, I have many xp locked characters and most do not still show the Bandana. Somehow over time it gets removed and doesn't show up again, even though XP is still off. This Bug has been around for many many years, despite people bug reporting it.As a player who enjoys min maxing characters at any level but max (blame loot treadmill) this saddens me. A ton of people in the legacy community and twink community have nothing to do with selling runs for real $, they probably should rethink this a tad so it doesn't affect so many people who have nothing to do with the problem.
Blizzard is deliberately killing his game
Most likely 120lvl boost coming soon. If 110-120 takes only couple hours with twink boosting then no one would buy boost. Classic Activision move
This is for manual invites only not for que invites. :)
This has got to be one of the stupidest 'fixes' Blizz has ever done. How dare people make money ingame and help others! Next they are going to 'fix' M+ key selling somehow. Mark my words.
Love the change. I'm tired of those spams.
Fun and minimal loss of money detected!*Beeeeep*Fun eliminated! By Blizzard the Cashscum
This is Blizzard trying in vain to force players to value the leveling experience when Blizzard themselves can’t be bothered to fix the system. Yes, the most current Expansion content should never be trivial (2 hours seems unreasonably fast to me) but allowing leveling via Island Expeditions was a bad design choice to begin with. It’s not that they couldn’t have allowed it in some way, but the amount of XP is crazy. If you’re rested you can gain a level with barely more than 2 Expeditions. It’s so much faster than questing that it’s hard to imagine why anyone would quest unless they haven’t done the zones before.
