Did a +10 shrine tonight, avg ilvl was around 415ish. That was....oof. The location of the void adds wasn't bad until we got to the bridge where the 2 casters spawn the tentacles. Cant LOS without going back down the ramp to the room. And on a timed run....oof again. We finished with 38 deaths while learning the dungeon. As I understand, the mobs can change location week to week, so it may not always be that rough. But I see Shrine being black listed again to avoid.

As a player with strange and hard work schedule and no friends left in this game - thus forced into LFG - this is hurting me a bit. :c Went into SoS+10 today, and it was hell of a ride. Almost 2 hours and 50+ deaths for a ~415 group looks rough. They weren't brightest of players, but it is what LFG is. So, looks like Season 3 will be "The Season of Suffering" for me. c:
Having done a couple +10's now, it's not as bad as it seems. With a guild group and coms, doing the weekly will be fine. But finding a pug on a 415 sv hunter was painful, decline after decline only wanting rogues or other mdi classes... Usually I have to pug due to work / time limits, so it may be a long wait each week to get it done until either I hit the 440 mark, or people trust the randomness of LFG / ignore casuals lower scores on R.io.
I'm an average player, my best was a 16S2 in time. In my opinion it is normal that this difficulty occurs after scaling.Currently many deal with keys of 10 and over with an average ilvl of 415 and with the new afflix still to be learned and how to deal with it in the best possible way, it is normal that it is difficult now.But after banging your head a bit with a higher ilvl it will surely be a little easier. However, the fact remains that I am quite in agreement with what is written in the article.Honestly, the m + of bfa are liking me less and less, far from those that were in legion. I can't understand why the blizzard has focused so much on trash and afflix that some combinations are so dangerous that many decide to skip the whole week (especially if there's Grievous and I hope this afflix is removed) .I don't like the design of many dungeons, full of trash and where it seems to walk on tracks and if you go out, you are just messing around.Several afflixes have also been thinking to highlight skills of different classes but in the end as you can see so it did not go well and they are always the same classes from 8.0 onwards to dominate the scene. Many write that you can do everything with all classes and this is true but up to a certain point. It is clear that some classes / specs have a gear (sometimes even two gears) more than others. Why bring me an ArmsWarrior when I can choose a Havoc or a Rogue? Can I make a key with an Arms? Sure but it will be more complicated than doing it with a Rogue. This highlights one of the great flaws of Bfa.The class design of some specs is too rough and badly thought about how it fits into different contents.Actually, I'm not having so much fun doing the m + I do for the weekly-chest, I do it to find high ilvl gear but I don't do them because I like them. For example Meccagon on the contrary I liked a lot because it reminds me of the legion dangeons, where trash are trash and bosses have particular and funny mechanics.
This new seasonal affix is super bad. Please remove and bring back reaping.
New affix is challenging for now, but soon all routes will be optimised and it won't be that painfull. But this affix definitely is not fun.
As a BM Hunter is was a struggle to get more than a couple of higher key dungeons done a week when we had reaping to deal with, and that was with guildies, you could forget about pugging higher keys. Now I seem to be more in demand if only to deal with Emissaries, specifically the Enchanted one. Whether with guildies or in a pug, soon as I joined, the keys went from farming lowers for gear to trying 10's and 11's.
Personally... I just do not like Beguiling at all, its not fun.Expanding on the "its not fun" bit though, It feels cumbersome, tedious, it does not look cool (Yeah, I know that this sounds like a lame/weak excuse but its not very expressive in terms of being thematic vs Bwonsamdi sicking the restless spirits of enemies you felled upon you. This one is just a bunch of bland, generic, night elves that appear in spots in the dungeons! No real dialog, no real theatrics, they are not even Naga but instead Night Elves! What? Even the Season 1 Parasite felt more thematic. Queen Azshara couldn't send Naga or Naga spirits?), its extremely random on top of already having random affixes each weak vs the predictability of Reaping so its an extra weekly layer of randomness in terms of what is placed where, certain dungeons/certain packs DRASTICALLY grow in difficulty based on the emissary that gets placed there, ect...I just really do not enjoy dealing with them. With reaping it always felt cool and exciting. Fending off an army of spirits charging at you, pumping out massive DPS, the mechanics were not too complex in the fact that they were not usually compounding compared to emissaries.Honestly, so far, I think that if I were to personally rank the M+ seasons so far it would be: Season 2 >>> Season 1 > Season 3That's just me, I am sure that there are people who genuinely enjoy S3's new affix but for me I am just not a fan.
>>The week to week Beguiling pack differentiation is going to honestly end up being overly difficult for more casual players who do one or two keys a week just for their weeklyThis is the core problem I have with the affixes. They are designing the game for the MDI and losing sight that 99.9% of the people who play WoW are not MDI players.Reaping was better for the game overall (and thus a "failure" to the Bliz design team, they even said so) because they really only care about the MDI.I run with a casual guild and this was very painful to deal with without voice. So its not just "play with friends" it's "play only with friends who can do voice". That rules out a lot of my casual guild. And not having Bwonsamdi's Bargain is a real setback to PuG teams who could at least finish the runs vs ending up having to decide if quitting makes more sense. Failed two siege runs because they were just too punishing for the PuG groups I was in.
sat through a +12 KR last night.. for 3 hours with 200 deaths. Not fun at all and let me tell you.. KR with Beguiling is so unforgiving right now since the emmisaries are PLENTIFUL in this wonderful dungeon and are very good gatekeepers...
May you rest in peace Bob though you're already dead
Not too many people give a *!@# about high keys or mythic raids.
