What people dont realize is that you need to active your account to use the level 100 boost, just tested on an old email I had and you have to pay that initial $15 to even get the boost
oof 2 years, i've only been inactive for a couple months, guess i can't nab one of those boostsi'm sure it'll turn into two years or more though if they keep the bad writing and poor profession/questing design going lol

If the criteria is not clear they're probably using some machine learning algorithm that chooses whichever accounts will give them the best return on investment (the investment being the free boost reward).
Unless this thread is full of posts from people p***ing themselves laughing as they do so (and I seriously doubt any of the previous pages are such posts), all I see is a glut of the kind of players that even Activision - never mind OG Blizzard - would be happy to lose.Granted, forum whiners are the emptiest vessels (... make the most noise), so most of what's posted even here isn't worth the bandwidth to transmit it... but it still makes for p***-poor reading for those of us who don't have any issues with the game/publisher(s)...
Blizz is turning into a phone/cable company by rewarding non-playing accounts more than loyal customers. Kinda think we should ALL get one of these...
Blizzard just keeps making moves that makes them look bad. I can see why Morhaime wanted out.
Literally in order to use this they would have to activate the account again thus giving blizzard money, it's not a reward but an incentive to rejoin. They want to entice old players who quit into joining back. The 15th anniversary literally has 3 mounts you can get for playing the game and yet people are whining that they also don't get free boosts. The whole point of promotions like this is to encourage old players to come back by putting them closer to max level on a toon.
What a bad move. Sure, business wise it is good to offer inactive accounts incentives to return... but will it be worth aggravating their loyal paying playerbase by NOT giving them anything? If they'd given active people something, even if it is a lesser version of what they give inactive players, nobody would be quite as upset.
I have so many alts, I would not mind a free 100. But it's great that Blizzard is trying to get old players to come back, I already told my young brother about it and he got one, I'll put a month of game time and we will play togheter! I'm very happy to have his company in game again, aven if only for a while. Looking foward to do legion quests and walk around trying to find rare hunter pets with him!
It's like the cable company, luring in new customers. nothing for loyal one who have been there all along.
"Subscribers" being the key word. They had to pay for something and got a bonus, they didn't get a free gift.
