With hotfixes that we are currently deploying to all WoW Classic realms, we are substantially increasing the number of players that can be simultaneously logged in and playing. We expect this to result in smaller queues for popular realms.https://t.co/NLG9Dn7CiG— WarcraftDevs (@WarcraftDevs) August 28, 2019

Any ETA on this?
ye good timing, I am almost in queue for 8 hours now. close to join, 946 left. Ony took 8 hours.
YA YEEEET :D
While I'm happy at the prospect of reduced queue times, they said previously that doing so would cause issues for them and us. I hope that doesn't happen!
8000+ q...
From the Golemagg players, thanks Blizz.
At long last....
I just hope it wouldn't result in massive lags in starter areas.
What about EU?
Why not do this before creating more servers?
6 hours in the queue only to find myself sitting at the logon screen again and my placement reset because I walked away for 10min. I wish there was a better system.
While I am excited for this because my friends will be able to play finally, I am concerned about the complications down the line when not enough people stop playing when layering is turned off. Could me some highly overpopulated areas.I think they should have had more servers at launch and capped character creation once a certain number of unique accounts made a character on a realm. It would have drastically improved launch day and they could have had more servers up prior to launch for the full ones.
If realms are still extremely high it would be easier to offer free guild/character transfers to a lower realm, then to merge. It'd be easier to entice a guild to move when it comes time for world bosses then hoping individuals. Just my 2 coppers.
Shazrah EU no improvement so far :(
Does this mean sharding will last even longer?
