It'd be really cool if you could show class popularity by faction, so paladin and shaman aren't stuck at the bottom.
These numbers are based on wowhead site traffic, and not ingame popularity. Så they can’t sort on faction :)
Funny how you say the wand comes from wailing caverns when i just got it from a black fathom depths quest
I didn't expect Warlocks to be so popular to be honest.I expected Hunters and Rogues to be way more popular than they actually are.The rest is kinda expected from me. Nice list. Thanks for the stats Wowhead Team! c:
Wouldn't having this sort of article posted daily be kinda spammy? Does it have to be an everyday thing? Perhaps weekly instead?
Literally every one of these posts has a person confused and assuming this is about class popularity, not strictly guide popularity. Why do you insist on keeping the wording vague? It is the easiest adjustment to make, yet you refuse to do it. Just change "Do note that the following lists are based on Wowhead traffic, and reflect most popular guides not overall content in the game." to"Do note that the following lists are based on Wowhead traffic, and reflect the most popular guides, and do not reflect the overall popularity of the classes in game." That's it. That is all you have to do. As of now, I can only assume that since you have replied to multiple people, including myself, that you are wording the article this way on purpose in order to deliberately imply that the article reflects popularity to generate more traffic.Intentionally or not, you are being quite disingenuous, and with the amount of times this has come up on these articles, I have a hard time thinking this is unintentional.Edit: since the moderator wants to leave the snarky comment up, I have read it. I also understand what the article is purporting to say, and what it is implying pretty heavily. You just simply need to explicitly state that it does not reflect the most popular classes in the game at all. That's it. I have no idea why you feel the need to be snarky about it.
Lol, just because these are the guides people are reading doesn’t mean these are a reflection of in game stats at all. There are a large portion of players in classic who played all of vanilla and don’t need to look at a guide to tell them where to go and how to kill mobs or run dungeons. The same holds true for players who played for years on private servers. Unless you’re rolling a completely new class that you e never ever played before, or only started playing after BC, would you need to use the guides. Not saying people don’t want to use them, but this post is really all about wowhead traffic and not much about wow classic actual stats.
Playing on any server people already have a pretty good idea which classes are the most popular. At least to my experience this is what the population looks like:1. Warrior----------------------2. Rogue3. Mage----------------------4. Hunter5. Warlock6. Priest----------------------7. Paladin8. Shaman9. DruidI could be wrong slightly but the ----brackets at least are pretty much confirmed. People looking at the guides can be a vague representation of the populous but really most people playing the more straight forward classes know what they are doing so they probably don't even check the guides.
you guys will literally argue about anything
