A little bit late maybe?
Mage and dh have only 2 specs no?
Hallelujah! Thank you!
plz nerf mage T_T
Why tho. Mage has 3 DPS specs. Monk buff should have been prio. Weg don‘t scale well enough. Plz fix.
Meanwhile, in the twink brackets, Arcane was 2nd top dps for BGs before even the last set of buffs they got by just spamming arcane missiles. It amazes me just how drastically difference the balance is at lvl cap compared to twinks. And when a garbage spec at max lvl gets buff, it also buffs the top of the food chain twinks who roll with it as well. I feel like they should pay a at least slight bit of attention to these things and, maybe make these buffs restricted to higher lvls only. Example, you hit lvl 110 and your damage is buffed across the board by 8%. Instead of all arcane mages getting it, where they don't in some brackets for pvp.
Been playing Arcane since early Legion. We keep getting these numerical buffs, but the real problem with Arcane is not the damage, but rather the lack of rotational complexity, the non-existant cleave, inferior AoE, mana issues in dungeons, no options when it comes to talents/azerite, and overreliance on standing still. The spec is absolute worst in dungeons, because it's only AoE that hits more than 4 targets (Arcane Explosion) is very weak, while Arcane Barrage suffers from the target cap, meanwhile running out of mana is a real problem and it happens too quickly, forcing the group to wait while the mage drinks after every pull. At the same time going into dungeon you must force yourself into either full single target or full AoE, because the huge chunk of Arcane damage comes from Azerite traits; you either choose Equipoise and do nothing on big pulls, or you go full Explosive Echo and get outdamaged by the tank on bosses.Single target is competetive, but any sort of forced movement mechanic completely shuts Arcane down. Arcane's damage relies entirely on the ability to synchronize Arcane Power and Evocation. If you get ice touch on Sivara fight, then you will fall behind on damage too much, because Evocation will be delayed and burn phase will be very difficult to execute due to having to move every few second. I am not even mentioning the dreaded Queen's Court where Repeat Performance basically removes you from the fight for 30 seconds. So many cool tools in Arcane's toolkit were lost in transition from Legion: longer Arcane Power, Mark of Aluneth, extra cleave on Arcane Barrage, stackable Arcane Missiles - and the only thing we got in return was Remove Curse.
Alliance? Really?I'm angry!
Nice, took you 2.5 patches to get it.
What about subtlety? :(

Yes, buffs are exactly what Mages needed. This is why this is the first PvP season since Cata that I quit and never looked back. Reason #84527093857209847 why Classic is @#$%ting on retail.
What about demonology, which is just as bad if not worse than arcane?
I love arcane. I waited until Night Elves welcomed arcane mages back into the fold before creating one. I appreciate some of the love they've shown arcane mages re: updated visual effects. I argue they could do more or be a little more interesting, but at least they did something. But playing an arcane mage isn't very stimulating. The cadence and cycles are pretty fixed and very easy to disrupt. I'm okay with disruption. I mean, life, right? But the rotations has always feel pretty boring for me. My nether tempest isn't even seen by others. I'm glad they took AM off proc chance, but now I feel like I should just spam AM because its my favorite spell. Its the only thing that gives me joy. Maybe introduce combos that offer different types/levels of empowerments. I don't know. But I'm waiting.
