Anduin: The armistice is signed. At long last, the Fourth War is over.
Tyrande: No. Not while the Black Moon still cries out for vengeance. Not until the Horde has answered for its treachery.
Anduin: Further bloodshed will not bring back the fallen. We must renew our hope and forge a future for those who survived.
Tyrande: And when the next warchief musters an army, will hope save you if it is Stormwind that burns?
Anduin: I know it's difficult to trust, but there are signs of change within the Horde. In place of a warchief, there is now a council led by Baine, Thrall, and the others. I believe they can--
Tyrande: Your faith is naive, lion son. I will sign no treaty unless it is written in the Banshee's blood!
Anduin: Tyrande!
Genn: There is truth in her words, Anduin. Peace may be on the table today, but soon enough the Horde will sound their drums and march for war.
Genn: When that day comes, no scrap of parchment will hold them back.
Anduin: The path to peace will not be easy, and not all will choose to walk it. But this is the only way to build a better future. I believe it will work, Genn. Shandris: You spoke harshly to King Anduin, Tyrande. The kaldorei can ill afford to shun the Alliance. They have provided aid and comfort to us in these dark times.
Tyrande: The young king is foolish to trust our enemies. Harsh words should be the least of his fears.
Shandris: The Banshee Queen no longer leads the Horde. Those who do seem more inclined toward peace than war.
Tyrande: If the wolf is rabid, it matters not who rides it. Sooner or later, the beast will bare its fangs.
Shandris: You are dearest to my heart, Tyrande. I beg you, let go of the Black Moon's rage and embrace the mother's light once again. I could not bear to lose you to darkness.
Tyrande: Know this. My hunger for vengeance will not be sated so long as Sylvanas Windrunner remains free--and until I know why Elune abandoned her children.
Shandris: Tyrande! Do not say such--
Tyrande: I will tarry no longer in this city of men. Let us leave for the boughs of Nordrassil.
Tyrande: From there we will dispatch the Sentinels to every corner of Azeroth. Let no one rest until the Banshee is found!

Yeah, Stormwind's very best street corners to cry on.

And Tyrande's right to demand justice from the Horde as a) why aren't helping her hunt down Sylly if they're "sorry" for the war? And b) Sylly didn't literally burn the tree. She gave the order just like she started the war. The Horde marched to her order.

The Horde broke the previous treaty, invaded Ashenvale, murdered every single Night Elf they could find, rolled up Darkshore killing every Furbolg and Naga they encountered, piloted the bombers, crewed the catapults, and literally hacked the Night Elves in the back.

Oh sure the Forsaken did the worst of it as usual, but that was with Grunts and Axe Throwers and siege weapons at their backs.

Saurfang was alone in protesting the war as unjust and, much as I respect his refusal to execute Malfurion, if Sylly hadn't been so stupid as to ask exactly the wrong person to do the killing Malf would be dead.

It's remarkable that Anduin's contribution to the Kaldorei war was first refusing to help fight and then refusing to help his allies. As I knew it there was a lot of hope that he'd be better than his father about helping the actual Alliance instead of being hungry to battle the Horde. Instead he's managed to split the difference exactly down the middle being wrong both ways by not being loyal to the Kaldorei while being sympathetic to the Horde.

Oh, speaking of traitors Sylly's headed back to Silvermoon. Mark my words it's on the chopping block. Maybe not next, but since we already know BfA's era ends with both factions controlling their entire continents that means Silvermoon's gotta do too.

Cata starts with the Horde attacking Ashenvale for lumber. Pandaria ends with Tyrande agreeing to trade the Horde, Vol'Jin edition, lumber in exchange for the Horde not logging off Azshara.

Granted the NElf claim on Aszhara is plenty weak as they've never had a meaningful presence in the zone that's still at minimum conceding to the Horde's needs over their own. That's making a concession for peace with any enemy who's never less than happy to send your people back as stacks of heads delivered via mail service.

...I'm actually not even 100% about the Aszhara thing. There's almost zero Alliance plot line in the zone.
