Visions would have been much more fun without this "madness" garbage that only serves purpose to annoy players.Blizzard never learns that making player lose control of his character is bad design...
Another easy one, awesome!
Most of the time in SW I'm not even in combat, or not in combat with anything dangerous. The timer is extremely generous with all 5 masks. What's the problem with haunting/split personality even if you get trapped into it because of the narrow corridors? All of the important fights take place in wide open areas with plenty of room to move.Getting forced CC when I'm running to the next mobs on my mount doesn't bother me at all. Just a few seconds added to an already-generous timer.
Walking up the mage tower ramp boss super strong this week. Split Personality + Haunting Shadows on it made me walk around in my own circles long enough to use half my sanity bar, by far the worst sanity loss in the whole instance, took all 3 orbs (last week I used none) to clear, plus the self revive. It's a frustrating week, save your orbs on your alts, not worth it imo.
I feel like Blizzard hasn't even tested this combo in Mage quarter.Majority of the time, the only exit from Split Personality is blocked by a damn wall,so you either need to be a mage or a demon hunter to get out of it before you get feared with the other affix.Which is NOT fun at all.
Split personality should have two exits randomly placed.
Because you can still get murdered by npcs?
Void Eruption has hit me through pillars 3 times today, the final time costing me my run.
"THIS... IS... SPARTA!"
Not a terrible fun week madness wise, but I did my five-mask regardless and got the title, so I'm happy! Also split personality can be hard to compensate for in certain areas of the Mage Quarter especially, and Old Town to a lesser degree. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but in even the slightest closed off or narrow area, it always seems to it with the gap pointing squarely at a wall.
The main problem with Split personality are the fights where you have to move on a timer. Like pretty much every elite fight with void zones. For example Shaw: You get the purple border, need to stay to not run into it immediatly, Shaw vanishes and the void comes in through the only one exit out of the split personality. Or the monstrosity infront of Umbric's Tower. Or both elites in Old Town. Actually pretty much every district with Split Personality has those effects where you have to run out from. But you can't because you run into the images, get disoriented and smashed, losing a ton of sanity. Depending on your class, you might not have enough DPS to get those enemies down within one Gift of the Titans, so you can't just ignore the running around.
