Kel'Thuzad, except that the spirit of the Arch Lich and former master of Naxxramas has made its way to Maldraxxus. Based on datamined scenario steps, he's continued his treacherous and manipulative ways.

Alexandros Mograine and Lady Vashj (now called Baroness Vashj) are being tested within the House of the Chosen. The scenario steps would imply they're allies, despite their varied past.

Kael'thas Sunstrider returns yet again, seeking vengeance on an enemy from his past while confined to Revendreth for the crimes he committed in life. He is also listed as a boss encounter within the Castle Nathria dungeon, although it would appear that we attempt to save him from Denathrius', rather than defeat the Prince of Quel'Thalas yet again.

Rezan, the Loa of Kings who was killed early in Battle for Azeroth apparently made his own deal with Bwonsamdi, which means we may not have seen the last of him either.

From a story perspective, it is the base of the Jailer's power within the Maw, meant meant to hold the most dangerous creatures within the cosmos, but has now become a prison for many of Azeroth's greatest heroes who would threaten the Jailer's plans.

From a gameplay perspective, it serves as an infinite dungeon with roguelike progression, changing each time players enter and rewarding the materials used to craft legendary items at the Forge of Domination.

The expansion will be driven by the Jailer, what he's after, and how to stop him. Battle for Azeroth was frequently ambiguous, but Shadowlands is much more clear - the Jailer is the major threat. That would actually be delightful, as Kael'thas fled to Draenor with Vash'j with his tail between his legs, and moved-on to a completely different role, and then Sylvanas had Garithos killed.
Garithos being a total racist would mean that he could end-up in Revendreth.

The Night Warrior scenario about reliving memories is about a former Night Warrior named Selenis and likely takes place in Ardenweald. Tyrande fights on her own and escapes Torghast with the champion and goes to Ardenweald seeking answers about Elune. WoW story is on par with the remake of McGuyver.Commento di VremonLooking for lore expert or wowhead experts. How exactly Shadowlands and Azeroth are connected? Is it specific "azerothish" version of dead realm just for this planet, and each planet has its own Shadowlands world? Or not? What is the anchor which connects them?
Some of the characters here died in Outland, so the Shadowlands are the same in whole universe, or they ended in azeroth's only shadowlands because of they were born in Azeroth? What about AU Dreanor and mag'har orcs? Where do characters in AU draenor get? What about characters from there who traveled to our Azeroth, where do they get after death? To AU shadowlands, to shadowlands anchored to draenor, do they even allowed to enter azeroth's shadownalds? Or if shadowlands are the same for all world, then why the hell Azeroths is the main? There are countless of planets, coutnless of races (alive or dead) thus must be present in shadowlands in this case.
What about a process of being born? When a character is born he somehow gets a soul, his spirit... which after death will be present in shadowlands. Is it "spawned" absolutely out of nowhere resulting in spawn of infinite amount of souls, or it's some king of reincarnation of an existing soul? What about the curse of flesh, how races (and first individuals) who once were constructs and then become "alive" got their soul? In which moment of time? Since curse of flesh comes from old gods, is it correct to say that old gods have control over shadowlands? And what about "bad" or "epic" characters being in shadowlands? There are real dead titans exist in the world, should they be there? There are also really dead voidlords exist, so should we meet them in shadowlands?
