Sure the first death was a setback, and the second was an embarassment, but I'm not one to let death stop my rise to power. None shall stand against Kael'thas the Immortal!
Hm... blue... Uther...BLUTHER!(distant sound of panicked horses):D
At this point story hype is dead. WoD , Legion and BFA murdered everything I cared for. Unless Tyrande dies and Malfurion becomes the badass he used to be or Tyrande lives and Malfurion becomes the badass he used to be.......my focus will stay on gameplay only. They killed Varian , killed Vol'jin , butchered Malfurion's character , butchered WoD storyline where we were supposed to face Grom Hellscream(I was so looking to it) and pissed on the Lich King. That was a long and hard hitting combo. No , for me.......the story is dead.Whatever this thing is now is like the plot in pron.....expected to be there but useless.
God I hope the Forsaken don't get lightforged. I like the way they're morally ambiguous to evil. What with all the experiments and blight manufacturing. That's why I always play Forsaken. I don't want them to specify them as good and ruin their racial character.
Man after having read all this, it feels like Shadowlands is going to be one of those expansions with its completely own story and no lore to continue working on once it ends. As if Blizzard just had a fresh brainstorming session instead of continuing with existing lore. Sure there are a bunch of famous characters and what else not, but it just feels like "Let's randomly resurrect a bunch of famous dead characters for nostalgia sake and see what we can do with them". It feels like you won't miss out on anything if you'd skip the Shadowlands expansion and wait for the next one to come out. Then again, I'll be playing it nonetheless and who knows what's going to happen during the expansion... But anyway, so far it sounds mostly dull, extremely random and nonsensical to me.
I want to know about arthas! he better be in this xpac...
You know what lore moment I've been waiting for? Firing the Bilgewater Cannon. At Blizzcon a few years ago Alex Afrasabi said they'd be firing the cannon in BFA. The cannon was not fired!
What about King Varian Wrynn? Hope we can see him playing an important role in the Shadowlands.
"Sylvanas' Loyalists have abandoned her"This has not been said anywhere on any interview. The only precise thing said was: "There won't be choices in story anymore."Clearly there are unexplained steps yet, also we don't know the plot of 9.0 so please, let's not manipulate assumptions and create needless drama. Then people will start harassing writers and devs, so, sincerely, please Wowhead and anyone who's reporting or summarizing stuff:Be responsible, objective and unbiased.
I will play Shadowlands, but I still dislike what they did with Sylvanas. Also, Calia better not lead the Forsaken. I would be comfortable with Voss.
Give me the blood-verdant spheres as Revendreth covenant back-appearance for becoming besties with my Prince Kael and you'll have me kissing at Blizzard's feet with thanks, lol
How about this:Silvanas' plan is to recover her Soul from the Maw, sent there by Frostmourne as she died the first time.Once she has it, we confine the Jailer in a reforged Helm of Domination or smth similar.
