Revendreth Storyline Summary and Playthrough: Revendreth is the fourth and final zone that players will level in Shadowlands, lasting from level 57 all the way to 60. We play through the entire zones, which answers some questions about the Jailer's allies and the anima drought.

Revendreth Zone Preview: We've also taken dozens of screenshots of Revendreth, a moody gothic zone.

Halls of Atonement Dungeon Preview: Halls of Atonement is the 2nd dungeon to open on Alpha, tying into the Revendreth story.

Customization

While character customization is not yet available on the alpha for players, the recent build added more options we were able to datamine for Human Male and Female characters. These options included more head shapes, hair styles, and jewelry options. We've covered them in five posts:

Lore

New Horde Player Intro Lines in Shadowlands: Datamined broadcast text pointed towards some updated descriptions for Horde races, which jarred with the fraught events of the Fourth War in Battle for Azeroth. Lead Narrative Designer Steve Danuser later confirmed on Twitter that these were placeholder phrases and the wording wasn't ideal.

Leveling

New Leveling Options and Pathfinder in Shadowlands - Choose Your Starting Experience and Expansion: This build added the framework to choose where you want to level, although the choice will only be available to veteran players that already leveled through BFA.

Draenor and Broken Isles Pathfinder Not Required for Flying in Shadowlands: Immediately before the build, Blizzard announced that you do not need the Draenor Pathfinder achievement to fly in Warlords zones, or Broken Isles Pathfinder to fly in Legion zones.

New Death Knight Runeforges on the Shadowlands Alpha: Blizzard has added 5 new Runeforges for Death Knights on the Shadowlands Alpha, bringing the total number of Runeforges to 8!

New PvP Talents: Greater Pyroblast was finally nerfed and Havoc Demon Huntersget a PvP talent that makes their Fel Rush apply a Mortal Strike debuff.

Updated Covenant Abilities: This build added the Demon Hunter Necrolord ability, Fodder to the Flame.

Shadowlands Alpha Build 34137 Class Abilities, Covenant Abilities and Spell Changes: Master list of all datamined changes.

General

Updated Maps and Icons: The most notable map addition was the very first World Map!

Database Updates: Notable additions include Ardenweald armor, some new optional crafting reagents, and Brewfest holiday items.

New Models: There were a handful of new models, including Draka wearing the armor from Maldraxxus.

Please don't speak for other people. You don't know how many people would like to keep the flying reward from these achievements. To deny someone a perk that they have been utilizing since Draenor is selfish. Also, not doing the zones where I can currently fly in the first zone would remove every expansion from the rotation except low-level Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, since you can currently fly in every expansion from Burning Crusade to Battle for Azeroth, if you earned them. Telling people to not choose an expansion because of this would run contrary to the "pick any expansion" mentality that the Shadowlands expansion was pitched with.

It's not that I have to fly. I can currently fly in every one of these zones from the moment I set foot in them, and it is going to feel like it is being removed arbitrarily for no reason, other than, "we want you to see the world on foot," which I have done many times already, before earning the right to fly.

Except they're not removing flying from those zones. In fact, if anything, they're making it easier to fly in those zones by not requiring Pathfinder. The only difference is that you think that they "want you to see the world on foot" because you need expert flying to fly in those zones... which you needed in the first place. Get to level 100 without expert flying (which is impossible since they give it to you at level 71 regardless of if you spend the gold on it) and see if you can fly. You're making a mountain out of an anthill.

Let's look at it this way: Let's say they kept the Pathfinder requirement there to fly "to not invalidate the achievements of others." Now, new players are going to choose to avoid those zones that they otherwise wouldn't be able to fly in (once they unlock flying), thus causing player backlash.

This is a complete damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for Blizz because the Community chooses to make every choice that they make a huge issue when it's not.

Level up to level 30, get your expert flying, and you can fly again. If you don't like it, then don't level in those zones. If you want to speed through with treasure hunting, then, like I said before, go for it, you'll just have to deal with it on foot for 20 levels.

Edit: Just wanted to add, how is this any different than them removing the need for Cold Weather Flying, or the Wisdom of Four Winds or whatever Pandaria's was called, or the Flightmaster license during Cataclysm? All of these have had the intention of making it easier to fly in these zones. People complained about pathfinder for years, then they remove the need for it, and suddenly we're back to outrage.Commento di GhostlilyTauren customization when? its the only race remaining for a while
