Sigh.
I'm not gonna dismiss their comment as quickly as you did. Echoes don't actually come in that quickly. Even completing all three assaults and 7 emissaries is barely 3k Echoes in a week, during which the vendor will have rotated once.
Unless you're spamming M+ or rated pvp, you aren't really going to be swimming in Echoes or earning them very quickly. And doing those things would put you a good bit above what the average player does with their game time.
I've been playing the occasional M+, like one a day, and then some of the dailies. I bought one corruption for about 5000, and now I have about 9400 built up. It's not like I find them flowing in, but they certainly seem pretty balanced to me at the moment. Not that I couldn't always use more of course, but I don't expect to be swimming in them without effort.

Im farming 40 k echoes per week , after i do my assaults , emissary , visions i just 2 v 2 in arenas as 2 x dps fast games , when we get high rate we drop rate and repeat so who says that can't buy one corruption is just a lazy ass
jfc, what are you playing 20 hours a day?

Stat effects stack. If you already have an item with Severe 1, my suggestion is to buy Severe 2 & put it on a second item. Getting the same benefit while costing less.
In the next round when we can afford more, can refine & use 3's on single items.
What are you even talking about? This is misleading and doesn't really make any sense. The percent corruptions are all the exact same percent to corruption ratio. 10 corruption for 6%, 15 corruption for 9% and 20 corruption for 12%. The only reason you should ever buy corruptions that aren't 12% would be if you were going to farm a ton more echoes and replace the pieces of gear you plan to corrupt right now or you need an immediate power boost for progression. Otherwise it is a complete waste to buy non-maxed corruptions unless it more comfortably fills out your resistance budget currently and going forward without detracting from the ability to buy a full set of maxed out corruptions.

Are you able to re-use the purchased corruptions or are they a one use item? E.g, I get a new piece of gear and want to transfer the corruption trait over
its a consumable liek an enchant
Thanks for answering :)
