Not excited at all for this change. The original sets were iconic, and look kind of like what an adventurer "starting out" would have. These previews look more like epic heroes.
I completely agree with Sola23 on all his points. Although I sort of get why hrlqn thinks a UI should be as unnoticeable as possible and disappear, I simply disagree. A UI should be a fun, interactive element that ends up enhancing the overall gaming experience. I could expand, but Sola23 has it covered. In the end, all I have to add is a simple statement: Thinking old is bad just because it's old is just as bad as thinking new is bad just because it's new. There's nothing wrong with old stuff if the new stuff isn't any better, and redesigns that are done just so some mediocre art designer can validate his job, or whatever goes on in companies these days that results in heartless redesigns, are just stupid.
Much improved, looks a lot more modern. Granted this will only be "in my life" for about 60 seconds, nice to see.
Just going by those screenshots it seems pretty pointless. I like the classic look more.
Not sure when it was added but the characters now do an action sequence when you select a class and stand in a more action orientated pose rather than the stand to attention style shown here.
