This is just stupid for characters that just leveled from 1-10 and get from exile's reach to orgrimmar only to die and not being able to turn the quest in and start leveling with chromie. What on earth was Blizz thinking, this should only concern lvl 50 players. How can new characters level with a mess like this? The last Exile's Quest literally drops you off in the middle of the zombies in the capital. Just ludicrous.
warmode only
All it is missing is an opt-out button. I tried to do something, anything on PTR to get a feel of the classes so I can make informed decision about whom to play in SL. Yeah, good luck with this up.I really hope if this makes it to live, it'll be either optional or very short.
Flying isn't an option if you are trying to get anything accomplished. when you get low enough to attempt to interact with npc's you get zombied.. was a total deathathon today
Someone wake me when it's over so I can actually playtest the changes to my spec for the next two years, instead of playtesting zombies which I'll get to be for a week or two tops.I am not offended by it being during the pandemic -- it's bad timing, unfortunate, but **** happens -- but it's pretty stupid when one wants to be playtesting meaningfully. If the whole _point_ of this PTR is to test the pre-patch event, then more beta invitations should go out so we can test our abilities there.
The "scourge invasion" is BELOVED? It's a pain and waste of time for those of us trying to get the flavor of the new expansion. I have had issues with this zombie whatever. I also tried to get past this and finally QUIT. If this is the caliber of game we're paying for then I will stay in BFA, go back to classic, or just quit WoW entirely. It's not fun dying. It's not fun trying to attack and kill other players - no, I don't PVP, and it's a waste of time when as a DH, I haven't even seen any new areas. One ally priest cannot get into SW. One is "world server is down", EVEN THOUGH I AM ABLE TO PLAY HORDE ON THE SAME SERVER. No idea WHAT is going on.
I didn't like the scourge zombie attack the 1st time and with all the griefing on the PTR, if they don't make it so that players of the same faction cannot attack each other, I'll not like it again. Took me 40 mins to complete 2 quests. :(
As a worgen player I hopefully won't turn into a scourge.

Logged into the PTR last night, and I feel like I had the same experience most new players to the game will have. I had a ton of fun customizing a brand new warrior with the revamped options. Honestly even after playing since 2004, I found myself in awe of the character builder screen's new animations, options, and overall polish. Got in game to Exile's Reach and loved the intro story line, characters, pacing, and finishing dungeon (even with some NPC pathing and grouping bugs that were totally forgivable because of the rest of the experience).......And then I got dropped off at Stormwind to a jarring battlefield of corpses. The guard I was sent to talk to was stuck fighting a zombie, I got turned into a zombie myself, died, and quit the game. I don't expect Live to be much different.I hate everything about this event.
This event is trash and should be dumped tbh, Who thought allowing players to troll other players was ever a good idea?
I died seconds after spawning for the first time, back in late BC.Zombified griefing moron max-level player in a starter zone - that was my first WoW experience. For several weeks, pretty much all new players who had enough luck to get into undercity, could only sit in the room with Sylvanas and queue for battlegrounds. If they didn't make it there, they couldn't play. And that "safety" was just relative - both Horde, and Alliance raids, did their utmost to bring the grief to that place as well, as soon as people knew its one of the few safe havens.I was honestly relieved when the bloody sheet-show ended and people took to leveling in Northrend.I seriously hope the sheet-show: revisited has some curbs, this time round.
On one hand, I'm glad that they brought this event back and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. On the other hand, for those of us who like to spend our evenings roleplaying, this is going to be an absolute nightmare, especially for those of us with daily public RP events. I guess we can always temporarily relocate the event to another city, or some other public location (not a garrison) that won't be affected by the event and give an out of character announcement the day before the patch goes live to let everyone know where we're moving to. If we stay, we're going to be trolled HARD, since we tend to get trolled under normal circumstances anyway.
