You'd have to be an uber nerd to get upset by them changing random flavour npcs.
hopefully all npcs get updated with new options. Of course, to some degree as probably not every orc in Orgrimmar is a guerilla fighter or something.
100% behind this change, it’s been needed for a long time

What about people who were already established as being inspired from another culture but not having the ability to do so when they were created? Like Wu Shen in Old Town and Shen Kang Cheng in Dalaran? Anyone from the wowhead team able to update article with images of them and see if they've changed to use the new Asian-esque appearances? Also maybe now Woo Ping can finally return from his journey after clinging onto Deathwing. >.>
oh no! they changed the skin color of that random shopkeeper that i dont even buy stuff from! How DARE you blizzard? /sBut for reals, sometimes i can agree with the "forced diversity" argument but if anyone is angry for a change so insignificant like this, it's grasping at straws at this point.
Oh, yay! I'm glad they're doing this, both because it's time and I will always welcome inclusion, and because those great hairstyles and whatnot will be put to use on the old world as wel.Hopefully we're going to see more of this in other cities as well.I'd love to see Silvermoon with a bit more color, as well.... I honestly would take anything that would improve Silvermoon even a minuscule amount. But, yeah. Yay!
No asians! I'm offended! /sbut really, any Asian customization in SW?
The guards and not named npcs are totally fine. Idk about the named ones though, even if people consider them "generic shopkeepers". Seems kinda weird
I hope they show off some of the new darker skinned blood/void/high elves in the city too.
I hope this was carefully done and not just randomized.
Ehhhhhhhhhhh... It's "okay" as long as we don't change the races of existing characters, that would be a pretty cheap attempt at adding "diversity" to the game. Isn't there room to add new characters who look different to the game? Sadly (but I could be misremembering) this may be the case I think, one of the three mage ladies in Stormwind mage quarter sitting and taking together, seems to have had her race changed, unless she was one of those "skin color painted onto body" characters that weren't really black ethnically, then sure maybe it isn't what I originally thought I'll admit. However, if Blizzard is ever caught changing the races of named NPCs in a distastefully obvious way, they better prepare for backlash. That's just not cool to change the race of a known character just because "there's not enough of this or that race" make some new characters, otherwise you're just lazily backtracking on "mistakes", not that I think having too much of one "race" was ever an issue in this fantasy game with hundreds of unique humanoids lol.
Add new diverse characters, maybe with some new flavor lines to truly implement diverse cultures and ancestry? Naaaaaah, lets just randomly change appearance of the existing ones, just because.
Well now they're going to need to add more parts to Azeroth to explain all of the different genetic variations. Or just say the Titans did it I guess.
