A bit late, but this isn't something to be upset about. Championing these reps doesn't work at max level, and at which point it's far easier and quicker to farm the Zandalari Scouts and Warbringers for their BoA rep badges. I know Asmongold got snarky about this change earlier on his stream, but it's disingenuous to think this is a quality of life decrease, and I find it a little silly that Wowhead would bother to report on it.
Understandable, as the effect it had on grinding MoP reps today was minuscule, but kind of a shame to lose a flavor distinction. As long as the account wide bonus reputation buff items/effect doesn't go away, there shouldn't really be any difference.Maybe this means that they intend to use this system (championing a certain faction to get reputation by doing a dungeon/battleground each day) in Shadowlands, and removed this to make things less confusing?
Tbh it was an mostly useless feature from an old xpac, so no surprise it's getting removed.
Why?
Beenn there for 12 years, why remove it?
In your Reputation pane click the star next to the Pandaren Rep you want the points with, then step into the Pandaria dungeons. No Tabard necessary.
The boost wasn't useless to players new or old alike, who didn't have the max reps already. I found it useful, even if it still took ages to get my angler rep for the very useful fishing raft, water striders. I want the scorpid mount and I didn't get max with klaxxi & I like scorpids, but if I'd had enough advance notice, maybe I would have prioritized it, in the endless of queue of things. Now that endless queue will take even longer, to do the kinds of things that gives one violent emotions towards the !@#$ers at Bliz making something unfun in the first place, even less fun and more time consuming. The rep thing was working for me after 90.
