They will drop loot EVERY time you kill them. Late night/early morning farming, you'll find groups with 4-8 rares up, allowing you to kill the same bunch of rares over and over and over again.

I love those mementos and the period piece they represent. The first invasion, that item had a low drop rate too; however, it was nothing like the rate we are seeing now. I wish Blizzard would increase the memento drop rate. I've been farming for it for days with no luck. Not a "good" pre-patch experience having to farm continuously for items with low drop rates in such a short period of available time.
