I bought the Kyrian one thinking it would zip me back to base. Nope. It also looks almost exactly like the hearthstone skin I got for buying Shadowlands.
Am I the only one who purchased this KNOWING it was a cosmetic Hearthstone? I love collecting these things and the Night Fae one is gorgeous. My only hope is that my alts can use them, that aren't in the Covenant.
Through various chat channels I heard that at a certain rank you get your covenant hearthstone. So I assumed it worked to return you to your covenant. No one ever mentioned it was a toy. And even if they did, it probably wouldn't have clicked it was a cosmetic item. But luckily, I did read the tooltip before I bought it. Once I realized what it was, I didn't buy it. I much prefer the Mechagon themed hearthstone.
Same here, very disappointed
The cosmetic hearthstones are one of my favourite toys, a little underwhelmed by the Kyrian one (only one I have right now) but I still like it. I also knew it was like all the other ones.. it says so in the tooltip >.<
Yes we
I wish Bliz made it less obvious that everything in Shadowlands exists merely to slow you down and subscribe longer. It's obvious that they're holding off on all the major QOL improvements until after the Quarter 4 earnings report is a done deal too.
question:if you change your covenant, do you lose the mounts/tmog/and other items related to said covenant?
The Kyrian Hearthstone is the same animation as the Eternal Traveler's Hearthstone, just without the blue rings swirling around you. Would've been cool if it featured wings or something unique in the animation rather than just taking texture assets out of a previously existing animation.
World of Loading Screens does it again; gives us disappointment. It should be exactly what we thought it was without reading the subtext... The excuse that we get a portal Oribos would make a covenant hearth even better; that way we could set hearth is a different zone entirely but metrics seems to think we'll play more if we spend time flying to zones. Sad days when metrics and demographics dictate content and gameplay.
