Finally some good news :)
This behavior from Blizzard is nothing new. Blizzard GM's are some of the absolute lowest scum I have ever encountered in decades of internet use and online gaming. This is not the first or tenth or thousandth time Blizzard has threatened to ban someone for asking about the status or reason of some absurd action.Blizzard GM's regularly abuse their power. They also regularly make mistakes and quite often refuse to undo their mistakes and will justify using any lies necessary to validate their mistakes. Their dishonesty, power-hungry greed, and disrespect are absolutely second to none.
Blizzard could solve this by just reworking the channel system:- turn trade chat into what it is: "citytrashtalk".- make an extra button to quickly join and leave the new "real trade chat", for trading offers and maybe questions.- make the same for a "gold paid services" channel. - posts are only allowed in their respective channel, violations punished harshly.
Hell and a YEAH!
Technically we have been covered by the EULA not the ToS since 2017. It kinda shocks me that the Wowhead staff don't realise this fact. The Blizzard EULA is far more wide reaching and covers everything the ToS/ToU did making those documents obsolete.Kinda sloppy for that email from Blizzard to refer to a non existent document tho.
Can you send a lawer to appeal? Because in this case he is a client but as Blizzard manages these issues the mediation is quite assymetrical. Not saying that I believe that the dude didn't make the infraction of the ToS, but if he can prove it, he should be able to bring a lawer into the discussion.
Please stop using the drug problem and cartels as an example "buyers are the problem","supply demand" its awful and btw proven wrong.Countries around the world that enforce death penalty to drug dealers have all time low drug problem...google that stuff. So do you want to be in the same conversation when you are comparing those crappy examples from real world, death penalty and supply and demand?ofc not.Someone watched way too many netflix and other hollywood crap and came up with this fake, false argument.
I'm so sick of raid/mythic sellers. They are worse than gold sellers ever were. I report every one of them as spam, usually a half dozen or more within the first minute or two I am online. This has gotten way out of control and anything Blizzard can do to reduce it is welcome.
Can someone explain to be what does ban apply these days? Are we talking about perma ban, like go buy new account,or is it more like 6 month that account is un usable so w8 for it to pass.Never got the idea what baning someone means.

It's about time.
Time to use this situation for my own ends and report those elitist guilds full of power gamers. Can't wait to log in and report the idiots in trade chat unaware of this. Why not, they are all condescending jerks anyway. And besides tearing down the successful is the 'brand new thing' that is popular in the real world nowadays. After all, don't hate the player, hate the game!
The abrupt implementation and strict usage of an unannounced rule of any kind should bother anyone who pays for this game. I'm sure Blizzard has done their homework on this, but I'd be looking for a way to take them to court over lost time and subscription fees. Dude spent years paying for that account and everything he created with it and all the money he spent on it was just taken. No warning, no announcement, nothing. Even the multiboxers got a warning before the ToS changed. This is a very troubling practice Blizzard is using.
While I am happy that Blizzard are taking action against spammers in trade chat and other places, I feel like this was an unwarranted overreaction. If indeed the policy change was undocumented, then he should have been left off with a warning.I'm not surprised that Blizzard responded in such a rude manner, though.. Threatening account action if you contact them in regards to a matter they consider closed.
Doubt the dude is innocent as he claims it went high up the chain and they track everything and i mean everything over there.Senior GM has excess to all of it.The only "edge" he has so far is them giving it a silence treatment. These things always end up with rmt being involved be it for boost or gold sales, lets not play the dumb card. The only thing questionable is why are they not open about it and straight out say it but they are dancing around the bush as is he.
