I have liked Shadowlands much, but still we are missing more and more raiders. Ofc there is bad things too but nothing can't be perfect, mostly it's fun time (if you have nice group to play with), and this doesn't need so much grinding like earlier.
Was in the game. Taking a break. I am hoping 9.0.5 and 9.1.0 rework the systems, especially rewards.
yeah 'beautiful' graphics and lore are really the most important thing about a game. who cares about how it plays. lets just rp walk around the zones and look at the sky
I guess every expansion is a good time to play for at least a month, you get to see new levelling content, new zones, new story etc. So I guess it's always a safe bet to play for a month and enjoy these things while at the same time trying out the endgame content to decide whether you want to play more. Modern WoW can easily be played as a single-player game, the most social activities being random heroic dungeons and lfr.
I feel like we're losing the key point of the game - there are two factions for a reason. When I can level a Human and a Blood Elf through an expansion with exactly the same storyline, it's just showing very lazy writing. It was like this in Legion and again in Shadowlands. Why even have a faction option at this point? Is it too much to ask for different dialogue or quests? It used to be interesting knowing that somewhere out there, the Alliance were in their own quest areas doing other things. Now, we're supposed to accept that they use the same main quest hub but we can't even see them. Again, lazy writing.
Crazy talk in here. Shadowlands is definitly a decent time to get back into WoW. If not more to see the story and experience the expansion for a month and see how it is.First time in a while there is no infinite curency grind that affects the power of your charachter. The expansion on a whole is pretty alt friendly. Legendary system is hugely improved compared to Legion. Sure some system's have some problems like M+ and Raid loot but Blizzard is activly listening and changing stuff. People here calling it worse than WoD and especialy BFA are beyond crazy. Especialy if you compare 8.0 to 9.0.
Well I am definitely casual and have not made it to max level yet but I am enjoying the levelling immensely when I get to play. The levelling revamp is awesome; I have several more alts now. The zones are amazing and I enjoy just being in them. I think it is an awesome time to join! This game is great!
Id say BfA is better in many ways. Maybe 9.1 will make this xpack good.
Soulbinds and conduits are obtuse and unbalanced?Do people actually think this?I think it's pretty straightforward that they are very much a variant of Talent trees. The key difference being that instead of a 3 choose 1 for a row you have exclusive X choose 1 for specific slots interlaced between the standard row styled 2/3 choose 1 choices. Unbalanced? Are you kidding me. . . soulbinds within the same covenant are within ~5% for most specs. You have to be vicious and just out to criticize for the sake of it, to accuse them of being "unbalanced "at this level of difference... That isn't to say a lot of specs don't heavily favor one covenant over another, but to accuse soulbinds of being unbalanced is just silly when you compare them to one another.
+1 interwebs for you
