These drop off of the Venture Co. Operators spread out in Windshear Crag. The highest concentration lie on the broken down super reaper just inside the crag. Walk on it and there are about 4-5 operators spawned there. May take a few clears of it to get the plans or you may get lucky on the first couple kills. Enjoy!

The blueprints are definitely at 62,53. Just as amputec said, you might get lucky and get it the first time you kill one of the Operators and you might not. I had to wait for them to come back 3 or 4 times until i got the blueprints. Good Luck.

The broken down super reaper is a good place to find operators....but there are also two more located just to the left, near some winches....good idea to grind on the ones at the reaper and then kill those two....then go back and kill the operators that respawned at the reaper.....I got the plans from one of the two by the winches.

The race of the operator is random. You have to kill 20-30 of them before you get one to drop...just be patient and stay near the machine and kill any that have "Operator" in the name...

the cords for ziz fizziks is 58,62 / 58,62. he is in a small house. u'll see a green spot on the map when you are nearby ;)

I founded immidiately when I saw a operator. Mine was a goblin, every operator can have it, i was just lucky.

Not sure if they respawn at the same place everytime but i had to kill 4 operators and i wrote down the Cords.

There are machines there that draw trees down to some 90 degree angle with ropes. There's always one operator next to a machine like this. Looking for these bent trees can help a lot.

At 73,54 there are 4 quite close together. And walking a bit north from there, there are 5 more. I just camped around these and killed operators when they appeared, with a few minutes respawns.

Stay away from the big reaper, the drop rate there is @#$%. Hunt operators around the tower near Cragpool lake, around 66.46 or so, and the drop rate is much better. You'll only have to kill a few before you get your blueprints.

For those without coords, yes, the tower will show on the map. Right along the south edge of the lake somewhere, can't miss it.

It randomly drops off the Operators in Windshear Crag.

There are quite a few operators at 62/52

Edit: After posting this message, the next one I killed, I asked it nicely. It dropped the blueprints.

Did that quest today in about 10 minutes. Killed maybe 7 or 8 operators. It is a completely random drop of any operator. There are quite a lot of operators though and they usually stand around near some sort of technical machinery or equipment (duh), so fairly easy to find.

The big woodcutting machine they are talking about is northeast of the little hut from where you receive the quest.
Go up one of the wheels, it's like a ramp going up. There are mobs on the walk up, they should drop it.

I got off my first kill of an operater at the machine at 61 54, so im not sure of the drop rate but i got lucky at that machine

Checked to see who I needed to kill for the plans. First operator after that gave me the drop! Just wish it happened more often like that! ^_^

Found a total of 8 different locations for the operators. I killed all the ones on the top of the machine, (5) the two guys contolling the wenches near it (2) and one guy near the big log saw past the river next to a wench (1). Of course, the last guy had it! ha ha! The last guy appeared at coords 65, 61.

I had to kill about 10 operators to get it. Seems to be a bit on the high side according to the other posts although one guy had to kill 25.

Any operator can drop it, they always pop in the same places just check around where there are any big pieces of equipment.

I found 1 operator on top of the Reaper, he didnt drop it.
Went up n down the river, around the buildings...
there were no other operators anywhere, or anyone that even looked the same.
I checked everyones coordinates and scanned the mouse over every other nme i saw.

Tried the quest again and found 5 Operators all on the Reaper. Had to kill 2 more to get the Blueprints after they respawned, which wasnt very long.

I've just tested this on seperate computers. You don't have to look it up on the same computer to have the luck (we're on the same hub so it might just be sniffing traffic?) :D

It`s a miracles. I read the first 2 post and start killing operators. Nothing. After that I read again and I saw how many people got it from the first or second time. I was confused. But after I read all the post it drop me from the first kill. There is something here! :)

Killed a few operators but ended up getting the blueprints to drop off a deforster.

Well that took me killing 25 Operators, 12 Deforesters, and enough Loggers to finish the Logger quest before the plans dropped.

On the good side ... gained 55% within level 19 and had 6 green items drop.

Well i seemed to wipe stonetalon of all Operators, and nothing....so i just walked up and down the crag a few times and ended up killing the same ones when they respawned just as I was about to give up....finally dropped at 73.49

Solo'd this one at 21 with a 21 pet. Once you get the quest just head northeast to a deforested area. Just run around killing all humanoids until you find the operator. I had to kill two operators before the Blueprints dropped. Once you have it just run back and turn in. You'll then get one more quest to deliver the envelope to the Barrens.

My results:
You gain 1650 experience.
Your reputation with Ratchet has increased.

This is vey easy, go to 62,53 (or just north) till you find Venture Co. Operators.. kill some of those and it will drop, i got it on my second kill

Its great to know how magical this thread is, dont really care though if its not actually adding something that might help people with quest. Since its random drop can only do so much, but at 63,54 on the big machine there is a decent concentration of operators. See something that is possibly helpful. =)

Ended up killing about 10 operators before getting the plans to drop. As contevita notes, the exp was 1650, not the 3760 noted in the info section.

The operators can be found anywhere on the site.

This one was easy. Just go for the Venture Co. Operator. I found him spawning in alot of coordinates, but here are two of them:

73,57
and
69,56

The "super reaper 6000" apparantly is a giant robot-looking thing with giant hand-saw and claw. Venture Co Operators walk about on top of this thing, took me 5 kills to drop the quest item.

I cleared a bunch on the super reaper, but no drops, went ovr to the large lodge and got it off an operator at 67, 52. The operator there is alone so you dont have to clear, pretty simple to get him while working on loggers and deforesters as well.

I was out doing Gnome's Respite at the same time and killed lots of Operators (among other things :P), but no drop until I had completed Gnome's Respite. The very next Operator I KO'd dropped it for me, near the mine in the East of the area.

Okay, it's official. If you're hunting the damn plans, go kill a few operators first, then read this post. The next little SOB you kill will drop the plans. This must be the luck-thread or something! ...I wonder if it'll work if I do that during a raid when hunting for my raid gear....

After killing operators for about an hour with no drop, I thought I should check here to be sure I was killing the right things in the right place. I was skeptical about all the people claiming they got the drop immediately after reading this page...

Sure enough, the next operator I killed after reading here dropped the plans.

soloed @ 20 with a 19 pet. didnt know it dropped off a deforester but I had killed quite a few to clear out, as I was doing the logger killing quest at the same time, it dropped off my 4th operator. And not sure why its lvl 21, didnt see any operator above 20, only thing above 20 were the mechanicals. which are for a quest given from the same NPC aftrer you return the blueprints

If you are lucky you'll get them off of the first Operator you kill. I was not so lucky- I had to kill about 20 Operators.

I found the bulk of Operators standing around the mill in the Blackwolf River area.

Yep, it worked =D I killed one Venture Co. Operator and the plans dropped.

It's a good idea to do this quest along with Goblin Invaders in which you have to kill 15 Venture Co. Loggers.

Easy quest. I'd advise you to do it.

My warrior's a level 34. I had no problem with the deforesters. They rarely attacked me. I went through a couple operators before getting the plans off of the one at the top of the spiral staircased tower with the airplane on top (it's the one that shows up on the map just east of the lake).
I also got a nice enchant spell for my warlock.. once he gets his skill up to 150, anyway.

For what it's worth, I must have killed 10-12 Operators away from the machine, doing A Gnome's Respite (Loggers and Deforesters) and the blueprints never showed up. My first kill on the actual machine dropped them. Coincidence? Maybe.

This item is shared party wide. So when one finally drops, the whole party can loot that same one. No need for each person to find their own.

Appears to be an approximate 10% droprate. Highest concentration of Operators is 1. around the shredder 2. the logging camp. GLHF!

Terrible what the Venture Company has done here, eh? What were they thinking? Goblin company hiring a gnome!

Lucky for me, Sputtervalve knows a genius when he sees one. Hired me just after I'd been kicked out!

Tells me they built some enormous woodcutting machine, and Sput' wants me to steal the plans for him. Unfortunately, Gerenzo--bloody gnome--wants me dead on sight... maybe you could steal the plans for me? You should be able to find them on one of their operators.
