During this quest, you will be encountering mobs much higher level than you (level 30+ in Arathi Highlands). What I did was strip down completely in anticipation of dying while running through Arathi, and also had my VW go ahead and aggro mobs before I walked by.

Be sure to bring plenty of shards to use this technique. It takes a while to prepare but I did not die once.

Actually I find if you have your Voidwalker up while you get agro on the way, just sacrifice and keep running.. it got me there. When you do get to Comar, it easy mode for a lvl 20.

Dalin's Heart: South Silverpine Forest south of Pyrewood Village at Greymane Wall. All the way to the left side of the wall.

Comar's Heart: Come into Wetlands from the north. As soon as it changes to Dun Modr look to the right (before the actual village part).

I did the UC quest. It wasn't bad at all. I went from UC to Silverpine for the Horse Man at the Wall, then thru Hilsbrad without a problem. In Arathi I ran into an stupid elf with a bad temper and a couple of spiders with equally bad tempers, but other than that, it was smooth sailing all the way!

Yeah, in Arathi I died a couple of times, but hey, that's going to happen anyway, right?

Remember to put in small detours to pick up new flight paths at Tarren Mill and Hammerfall, if this is your first time to these parts :)

No big problems for lvl 20 on PvE. Was able to pull Dalin (lvl20) with no adds, after clearing out one other refugee. Comar (lvl22) was also on his own and easy to take down.

The run through Arathi was ok but not without difficulty. Lost three VWs along the way (mobs resisted fear) and had to use a soulstone once. So make sure you have several shards with you.

I was nervous about this quest after so many folks claimed the Org version was easier/better. However, going all the way to the Barrens to do this seemed silly for an Undead. Plus, killing the humans sounded like so much fun!

I'm on a PVE server, so getting attacking while getting to the Wetlands from other players was not a problem. I was level 22 when I did this, and I did not die once. (I did however run away from a few aggro mobs) Watch out for the elite patrols that walk towards Stromgarde and you should be fine. On a PVP server, bring a friend or a guildmate and you should be fine.

Comar is to the right after crossing the bridge at Thanadol Span. He's level 22. Since he is Alliance PVP flagged, you will be flagged for five minutes after your first hit. Not a bad idea to have a heartstone ready after you do this to avoid trouble. Plus, going back the way you came would be a huge bother! Good luck!

cormar is to the right after you cross the brige going from arathai highlands to wetlands. he is flagges as pvp and should be standin there alone.

Just solo ran this at 20 without a single death. Stick to the roads, swing wide of mobs. When you find Comar, send the VW, Immolate, Curse of Agony, Corruption, Shadowbolt, dead. HS out before the alliance see you flagged. Cost me maybe 14 hp the entire trip, all from Comar.

For Corin just remember...

You WILL be PvP enabled once you tag him...so make sure there's not a bunch of alliance in the area who might stop you killing him :)

I just finished it, I am lvl 20. I did die at least 4 times, twice by the same lvl 70 Druid who felt like camping Terren Mill that night and Twice by ? Mobs in Arathi.. But I coulda avoided the mobs I just didnt pay attention and walked a little to close.

Just completed it with a fresh level 20 Blood Elf Warlock and had very little problem.

Just pay attention to what is around you and you can avoid most of the mobs. There is a choke point just before the bridge where I died once, but the graveyard was really close by.

The targets barely put up a fight and I got to see a lot of places I wouldn't have for a long time. It didn't take much more time than a collection quest.

I'm not sure why this quest was so spread out across the world but.... Anyways, it's pretty easy if you follow the directions in thise post. Go south through Silverpine Forest to the turnoff to Pyrewood Village. Take the first left and keep going down the road. There are some 16-17 Wargs and Moonrages but they should be easy to take out at this level. Once you get to the end of that road you will run into a hugh wall called Greymane Wall. The first quest item, Valdred Moray, is on the RIGHT side of the wall riding a horse (you can't miss him). Kill a few refugees to get direct access to him so you won't be getting attacked by others at the same time. Once you got that heart, head back the way you came in. Once back on the road to Pyrewood Village, keep going strait East. You will run into a few level 18-19 Dalaran humans walking on the road. You should use the void to tank them and take them out pretty easy. Keep going east down the road into Hillsbrad Foothills. Don't go off the road you started on, all the way through to the wetlands. There was one time i had to fight a level 24 cat, but took it out pretty easy with the void. Once into Arathi Highlands until you see a fork in the road. Follow the one that says wetlands. This place is full of nothing but ? monsters. Just keep an eye out and watch how they walk around. I had to sacrifice my blueberry 2 times so take plenty of soulshards. Once over the bridge, Thandol Span, into Wetlands Comar Villard will be on your RIGHT. He is the only thing there. Tank the void and take him out easily. Once you got that heart, just use your Hearthstone to take you back to your Inn you last chose. I started in UC, took the bat ride to The Sepulcher. My Inn is the one in Brill so I just got dropped there then walked right over to UC. I did this quest as a brand new lvl 20 btw. It really isn't that hard. Just stay on the path and watch the ? mobs so you don't aggro them.

Did this quest from UC, had no clue where Comar was (I dunno, call it bad perception, and by the way, he's on the right just as you enter). Wandered through the Wetlands aimlessly for 45 minutes, got ganked four times by the same mage (he hung around my corpse) as well as killed a few times by mobs, my equipment all broke (terrible, terrible preparation) and I simply couldn't survive for whatever reason.

NOW, that being said, I blame it entirely upon myself, and I still say that the UC quest isn't that bad, despite my experience with it. I did get some pretty damn good gear and money out of it, and I still did get my succubus. So do it already.

Abandoning aND DOING THE OGR. QUEST FOR SUCUU. THIS ALLIANCE pld. KILLED ME WHILE I WAS KILLING cOMAR AND KEEPS CAMPING MY BODY N HIM LOL. evry time i rez she kills me again and if i rez at ghost n run back she still there she is skull to me so i can't kill her. Here's hoping bug is fixed so i can get the ogr. quest ;;

It's very easy to swim from Silverpine/Western Hillsbrad to the Wetlands. If you are on a PvP server then stay a little bit under the surface and right next to the "fatigue border" to keep out of sight from Southshore, but not too far down or you might taunt some of the level 31 elite Hammerhead Sharks. Then summon a Voidwalker when you are about to land in the wetlands and whenever a giant croc attacks you have your VW taunt it once and then continue running behind you.

Oh, by the way, make sure your hearthstone is set for Sepulcher or UC, and that you put your soulstone on before you set out =P.

this quest only leads up to the sucubus, just go to orgimmar and get the sucubus quest there, trust me its worth it, and its a very much less pain in the ass of a quest in org

I did this quest right when I hit level 20. I play on a pvp server so it made things a little tougher.

The first guy Dalin Forgewright was a peice of cake at level 20. I tried to fight him at level 19 and he ran me out of dodge.

The second part of the quest was a pain in the ass. I play on a pvp server, and you have to walk through so many high level critters it is unbelivable. I died so many time by the time i got to Comar Villard i had no armor left and it was a awful battle, first time had to run back over the bridge, the second time i got him.

I found if you are on a pvp server to do it in the morning on a weekday, i did mine before work, and i only saw 1 player, and luckly he ran right by with out attacking me.

as soon as i killed him a stoned the hell out of there.

walk through hillsbrad, and get the TM FP, then head South East, and swim to the wetlands, it completly avoids the death and pain involved in having to go near refuge point to avoid mobs. watch for elete dwarf mobs

Did this at Level 20 PVP twice actually. Pretty easy. Dalin was easy just read below. Only problem in quest was getting to Comar. Was attacked by a few creepy crawlies on the way but outran them. Hit one player (LVL 29)on the way and died. Once i found him just across the bridge and to the right, hit him with curse of agony and attacked with searing pain (rank 1) Had to use imp as no soul shards to summon Voidwalker. Logged off and when i came back he re-appeared. Just attacked again with Searing pain (no CoA) and killed him easy. After that recommend HS out of there. :-)

I had not too much trouble as a 21 Warlock. Only came accross 1 alliance person. Guess it depends on the time you go through. Easy walk from Tarren Mill. Comar was right on the other side of the bridge when I entered the wetlands.

For those on PvE servers, be aware that killing Comar by the bridge flags you for Pvp.

There were several much higher alliance players in the area so I sat inside a V shaped piece of wreckage just west of him until timer ran out because I wanted to go get the FP in Hammerfall after, but you could also stone out after kill. Just remember not to attack him if he is respawned when you leave or you will flag again - just run across bridge to lose aggro.

Did this quest at 20 on my coffee break, overall very fast and easy. Aggroed several high level spiders on way but just ran until they tethered. If VW attacked them ran until he despawned and resummoned him.

From Silverpine go SE through Hillsbradn the ESE to Arathi, then South to wetlands. Guy is just right as you zone in.

Attacking him sets you on PvP status though, so camp real quick after kill :-)

Dalin Forgewright - SW Silverpine Forest 47,85 (mounted on a horse) immediately next to the Greymane Wall. Just one thing to note: he heals when he reaches around 50% health.

Comar Villard - Wetlands 49,11 literally just over the Thandol Span bridge to the west. He is with the Alliance so attacking him will flag you for pvp.

I play on a PvP server, which made this a bit tough, but I solo'd the quest on my first try at level 20. I play on a low population server (Boulderfist), so this may not be quite so easy for everyone else. I waited until quite late at night (about 2:30 AM on the server), since I play late at night anyway. I started out from Tarren Mill and walked along the road. Check the map for which directions you want to go; there is one point early on in Hillsbrad where the road forks and none of the signs point to the Wetlands, and you want to head east instead of south. After that, most of the signs should guide you toward the Wetlands. Granted, by using the road, I subjected myself to one generous gnome who did not kill me, two raptors who did (I used a Soulstone), and two spiders who almost did (I was serendipitously saved by another player). My point is that it's nothing if not a dangerous run, even without PK'ers in the mix. But, with some pets to distract enemies, it can definitely be done; you just need to be persistent.
Comar himself was level 22, and easy enough to solo. I might also mention that two seconds (literally, maybe less) after I killed him, I was targeted by some PKers. I decided to forgo all else and just grab the heart. I got it with about another two seconds to spare before I was waxed.

Some of the other routes will work fine too, but if you are on a low population PvP server, the road should be OK if you wait until quite late at night.

anyways, i died once during this quest and it was walking into hillsbrad :(.

i simply transported my sham to TM to revenge on the gankers, then went on my way.

i walked all the way to wetlands (didnt know where the guy was) saw some allies at dun modr (i think its called, with the elite dwarves) then turned around and hid behind a tree. i look to my right and see the guy standing there! yay! he was to the right directly after getting off the bridge.

died once the whole time, not to mention i did 2 travel to hillsbrad quests and got the fp for tm and hammerfall.

Dalin's heart drops off the guy in Silverpine by the huge wall that's just south of Pyrewood. Dalin is on horseback and was pretty easy to kill - he's paladin class but just DoT him and just keep it up til he stops healing himself. Watch out for the Sons of Arugal... lvl 21 - 23 elite werewolves - 1 or 2 of them hang out outside of SFK in the same area.

Comar hangs out just on the Wetlands side of Thandol Span. Once you cross the bridge into Wetlands from Arathi, look to the West (to your Right) - he's just behind the fences. Easy kill.

For some reason, I ended up getting my succubus quest completed before getting the quest for the 2 hearts, which is also designated as the lock quest for the succubus. I did it anyways - haven't turned it in yet but had a heck of a time getting to wetlands from Silverpine as a 22 lock.

I died 1x in hillsbrad after getting ganked by a 40+ alliance druid. I got ganked 1x in arathi by a 31 alliance mage. Managed to evade the mage 2x with fear but I ran into a pack of lvl 32 spiders and they + the mage finished me off. I died 4 other times from raptors before getting to Thandol Span. I also decided to get the Hammerfall FP while I was in Arathi.

Crossed paths with a 21 alliance priest. Decided not to let him decide whether or not to fight me so I dotted him first - he put his shield up. Not sure if the priest shield makes you immune to warlock fear but he was immune to it while his shield was up so I just waited until it wore off and kept dotting him. Had to use 2x healthstones since I had the VW out and not the imp. Finally killed the guy after he started running with 20% hp left... was pretty satisfying after getting ganked by allies that were +9 lvls higher than me.

Hearthed out - was gonna camp the priest but I decided to give him a break.

... Just turned in the quest and i fought the succubus again with my own succubus... got 1500 xp for turning it in!

Died once to a level 70 hunter that decided to attack me on my way out of Tarren Mill, the run though Arathi Highlands was a little tough, but I managed to get through without dying even though I grabbed agro a couple times... I just kept running and managed to survive before the mobs got me low enough.

By the way, I'm level 20

this quest is easy, just a little bit of a trek. Also, I grabbed Hammerfall's FP to fly back to UC with, extra bonus for the mid 30's when I wanna quest there later :D

I seriously suggest waiting 5 levels before attempting this or getting a group. some level ? humanoids are around and im lvl 21. so ;(

Dalin is on horseback near the Wall in Silverpine. As a precautionary measure I cleared a few level 19s in the area, but pulled him clean and dispatched him easily.

As other have pointed out, Comar, a level 22, is just to the right as you enter the Wetlands from Arathi Highlands. The walk there from Tarren Mill can be the most dangerous part of this, but most of the mobs in Arathi stay well away from the roads. The only exception, and it is a major one, is a patrol of mounted Alliance Cavalry which you can almost count on running across. Just move off the road and let them pass. Other than that, it is really an easy walk.

Comar will flag you, I pulled him well onto the remnants of the crumbled bridge and dispatched him there, away from prying eyes. I then hearthed out.

No deaths, total time investment in getting the two hearts, around 20-30 minutes.

Dalin forgewright is in the far southern part of silverpine at the greymane wall you cant miss him because he's riding a horse that looks like the brown alliance lvl 40 mount he's lvl 20 pretty easy just sic mr.voidwalker on him and cast your DoT's and shadowbolt him (RoF might work too) and helth funnel your pet when it takes a lot of damage cause dalin can freakin heal. The only problem with him is how does a lvl 20 ride a @$%@(*g lvl 40 mount. i dont know a lot about teh other guy except he's in alliance turf so my best bet is once u offed dalin get lvl 22 then u can get eye of killrog that allows you to scout.

this is a hard q (and very bugged) so i would go for the og (ogrimmar) one cos it must be easyer than this one (in og about the only quest he will give me is the voidie q and i dont even wanna do that 1 but im gona have ta if i want the scubbus one =/)

Not sure why I should care about this quest. Am I missing something? From what I can tell, you get Teach Summon Succubus (which I already have from a previous class quest) and a Small Soul Pouch (who cares!). Just seems like a lot of wasted time and frustration. So why do this quest at all?....

Here is the full quest chain to obtain the Warlock Succubus minion starting from Undercity:

1. Devourer of Souls
2. Hearts of the Pure
3. The Binding

Alternatively both races (both Orc and Undead) can pick up the Orgrimmar quest chain if you miss the one in Undercity:

1. Devourer of Souls
2. Blind Cazul
3. News of Dogran
4. News of Dogran
5. Ken'zigla's Draught
6. Dogran's Captivity
7. Love's Gift
8. The Binding

Both of these chains will grant you the Succubus, though you can only pick up one version of the chain. I hope this info helps!

This quest is so terribly designed, just go to Org and do that version. You only need to go to camp Taurajo and 50 ft into Ashenvale, instead of running across all of Hillsbrad and Arathi, dying multiple times just to get there. Not sure wtf they were thinking with some of these quests, and the symmetry between races, let alone factions.

It's 2024. I flew to Tarren Mill, ran to Hammerfall, then down to Wetlands. Only reason I aggroed things in Hillsbrad is so much stuff crosses the path and I ran across the open are abelow TM to the road. In all of Arathi I only pulled 2 spiders and didn't take any damage either time. How are people complaining about this quest? Time to head back to Greymane Wall.

It took much research, but through bits of overheard stories, I managed to find two men that should do.

The first is Dalin Forgewright, who has dedicated himself to the care of the Lordaeron refugees, whom are refused by their kin at the Greymane Wall.

The other is Comar Villard, a man who remains faithful to his lost love, wandering the Wetlands for a sign of his wife.

Deliver their hearts to Carendin. But first, let me show you your quarry.
