These guys are all around south of Steamwheedle port, near the coords 62,35-ish. I soloed this as a 41 Human Mage. Pretty easy to do even if you accidentally pull several at a time. It seemed to me that bandits are much more prevalent than thieves.

When I did this I farmed the mobs at about 60.24 in the ruins. Often you will get either thieves or bandits faster than the other kind, and you may want to get respawns. It seems to be random whether thieves or bandits spawn, so kill both kinds, as they are very nice grinding targets anyhow.

You might wanna pick up the wastewander pouches both for the quest, and for turn-ins at Gadgetzan.

Very very easily solo'd at lvl 43 Shaman... Pull and kill... Coords listed above are a very good spawn site.,,

a manageable quest, do take note not to sell the pouches though, just keep them to finish the first pouch quest provided by the same questgiver. you could choose to sell the leftovers, since the rewards for the pouch quest (if you repeat it, that is) does not give exp, just rep and the crate. your choice, anyhow.

I found them at Noonshade Ruins East of Gadz.

East of Gadgetzen. I did this quest solo and found them all there. Don't do this for the next quest however. :P

Level 48 Druid, Horde... I've killed about 8 of the guys and so far haven't gotten credit for one kill. Anyone else having this problem?

For those of you without coords...

You can find some thieves and bandits at noonshade ruins directly east of Gadgetztan as some people said already.

But you can also find more further east and slightly south of noonshade right before you get to steamwheel port. There are also more south of those mobs. Just look for the tents and check around the tents. I think the area is called Waterspring something. Good luck.

Follow the road east out of Gadgetazan until you're almost to Steamwheedle Port. Directly south of the road these guys spawn in pretty decent numbers. They are pretty hard to miss.

lol i was looking for ages, but they were only 2 mins away, just go to the noonshade ruins east of Gadzetan and west of Steamwheeldle Port right in the middel of the 2 is a camp full of both targets

Coordinates for these guys are 60,24. Locations of areas for those without coordinates is Noonshade ruins, Waterspring field and Wavestrider beach.

The tower at 63,31 has a bunch around it and around this area usually near the warlock ones.

For those that do have Cosmos the coords are:
60,24 for Bandits and a few Thiefs.
63,32 for more Thiefs than bandits with a few mages.

For those without Cosmose:
Go out the West gate at Gadgetzan and follow the mountains Northeast. You'll see some ruins,Noonshade,in the distance. That's the location for Bandits and a few thiefs. After you clear that camp head Southwest and you will see a water tower off in the distance. That is the location for more Thiefs than bandits with mages. Remember this location because you'll need it for the next part of this chain.

I love people who say they can't run addons. Anyone who can run wow and says they can't run addons is lying or is a moron. To run a tiny coordinate addon takes a miniscule amount of system resources, and if you have enough to run wow, you have enough to run the addon.

All the guys you need are at the coords given above (due east of Gad, just before you reach the coast, if you don't have the coords addon). Most;y easy to pull the guys you need, they don't mob too much. Only watch for the guy who breaks off and runs off to get his buddies - I let that happen once or twice.

Level 40 feral druid; ain't such a hard quest when critting a bit. +5 Gadgetzan rep every kill. Suggest you combine this quest with the water pouch quest, the drop rate is low but you need the kills anyway..

Doing it at lvl 43, easy quest, good xp, good item drops. Love it.

Sucks that you can't obtain this quest till 40, the mobs are 40-41, with the occasional 42

Solo'd this as a 41 Holy Priest, np.
Keep all the waterpouches to turn in to Spigot Operator Luglunker. He takes them 5 at a time (repeatable) in exchange for "carepackage" which is basically pumpkins, or moonberry juice.

Both of the quest mobs share spawns with one another plus some Shadow Mages. Kill the others too rather than running around mindlessly looking for spawns you need.

The Wastewander nomads out in the Tanaris desert have seized almost all the water wells! Without access to them, our water supply will dry up in no time. If you want to get in our good graces, then you'll help us bring justice to those nomads!

Head east of here and bring down ten Wastewander Bandits and Thieves, then report back to me on the double. Justice waits for no man... goblin... bah, just get on it!
