The Monocle drops off the named ogre in the middle of the ogre cave.

After entering the cave, I went left. Found him at approx loc 37,79. He has another mob near him, I was unable to split it as a mage. Tried twice and each time I got both. Died the first time due to a second add. But the second time went smoothly, sheeped the name, killed the add, then took out Zzarc'Vul.

Stay on the main path going south out of Darkshire, then once you get to the path that goes South into Stranglethorn Vale, take the middle fork.
The monsters in the "Vul'Gol Ogre Mound" range from 26 to 31.
Inside the cave, be careful, cause you have a pretty solid chance of getting aggro.
Zzarc'Vul is 30, non-elite, and has 2 adds.

Did as a 30 Rogue, Sapped an add, then went all out on Zzarc'Vul, got him, auto-looted, and had to Sprint out, and used a Healing Potion so, be careful.

The cave is at: 34,78

Entered, went to the left the two first chances and there he was.

It had one mob in it's side, dont think it's posable to seperate them.

Used shadow word: pain on both then i feared them and
started using mind blast and mind flay on the mob before i wanded the boss to death.

Remember to clear around first

This is easily solo'd at lvl 28, when you get to the "room" he is in you dont have to pull the other ogre, just wait till he moves as far as possible from Zaarc and then pull Zaarc, move out of the room and that should be the end of him. I ended up just running out instead of killing them, too boring.

Go as far south as you can, there is a little opening and there he is. He is guarded by 2 other orcs. Coords are 37, 83. If you can't find him, just wait he will re-spawn. It took me about 20 minutes to find him. Dropped lens on first kill.

Had to abandon the quest because a group of a-holes kept grinding him and wouldnt give this solo priest a shot at him even when asked to "group please need him for quest". So a big FU to all the 12yr olds on Bronzebeard server who dont know what a monocle is.

okay, he is at the lowest chamber.

I went by myself, probably not the greatest idea...

However, I did okay. I managed to get the monocle. I died when I aggroed a level 31 at half mana. And died again after ressurecting. ><

I was fortunate to get the boss ogre guy without his guards. From the other posts, I guess he has some... but the ogres respawned all around me and I managed to pull the boss dude by himself.

He is level 30.

The ogres in there are 28-31.

This one is simple as a rogue, I just stealthed until I saw Zzarc'Vul. I saped one of his guards and run a few steps back, killed him and sprinted away from there, didnt have to use a healing portion or something. But a healing portion is a good thing to carry when you're doing this quest, I was kinda lucky, I had 34 hp when the ogres ran back to the cave.. ( im a lvl 28 Rogue with 1005 HP )

Soloed this quest with 25 mage, ez mode.

Went in, took care of all the mobs on the way...

Saw him, pulled his lil' sidekicks first and took them.

And then i took care of him. Got the lens on first drop.

Just did it with my level 27 Paladin. Just go slow and pull one at a time. I just tried to use my seals wisely when going up against Zzarc'Vul in the cave.

Very simple quest. Soloed it at level 67. Took me about 2-3 sec to kill him and the other ogre.

He was left when i did it, 2 mobs, deadeasy as 32 rogue.

He's easy enough to kill. I had absolutely no trouble as a lvl 27 hunter. Neither of the two adds came when I attacked.

Wasn`t problem to find and kill him with 29 warrior just pull them with bow one by one. I must use retalion and some pots to kill him coz like dw war I have problems with orange mobs, other classes can solo him without problems.

Did this as a LV32 Warlock, cake. Everything is a single pull. Boss was easy to take w/Voidwalker. Thought about respawn waiting till I got something good, but was bored. Don't forget to be doing Ogre Thieves at the same time, chest behind log outside the cave.

Completed this quest easily at level 27 (Night Elf, Hunter)

The Orge mound if you haven't been there or discovered it yet is directly south-east of Raven Hill. Once you discover it, you will see a cave on your map, you need to go in there. When you walk in the cave go up the left path, you will see Zzark pretty much straight away.

I had to kill him and one other Orge at the same time. I got my pet to aggro both of them onto her, used Serpent sting straight away and then Arcane shot straight after, turned Rapid fire on, kept doing Arcane shot as soon as it was ready until Zzarc was dead. If you get your pet to aggro both of them, make sure you have Growl turned on and make sure your pet is attacking Zzark when you are attacking Zzark so that it keeps Zark aggroed onto your pet while you lay into him. My pet had a small amount of HP left so I kept doing Mend pet on her until she was at about 1/3 - 1/2 HP and then started attacking the other Ogre.

Was fun to do that quest because you can solo it if you know what you are doing and is a good challenge. Plus the drops were good as well, heaps of Silk Cloth and an ok amount of money (Usually 1S per Ogre).

easy for rogue just.... go and almost right as you sneak in go to the right and there are a couple ogres sneak passed or masequre them if you feel like it. then there will be 3 ogres in the room that Zzarc is in , Zzarc will be on a lifted platform. then there will be a 4th ogre that occassionally roams up and down the hall that the Ogre is in make sure you wait for him to walk to a part where there is no ogres and slay him. then go to the part with Zzarc again. it will be Zzarc on the platform and 2 on the floor next to him. wait for the one on the left to get just far enough from the one on the right that it wont pull him too if you attack him. atttack the one on the right. then go back into stealth. Sap Zzarc *or the other Ogre doesnt matter* and take them out one by one.

Completed as a level 28 mage, no pots needed. Following advice of other comments, I stuck left. I didn't find them there, but according Questie there are three spawning points. Just before you enter the left-most room, there is a fork. Head into the right one, and I found them at the end of that path.

There was another ogre but far enough away that I could pull without alerting it. Seems to be by chance if there's other mobs present.

This quest, dude. "Go get this guys monocle" But he's literally not wearing a monocle, and his only discernible trait from all of the mobs that surround him is that he has a spear.

Now there is just one more item needed to complete this device. Cog's blueprint calls for a lens of some sort. The only lens I know of that would be large enough will be very difficult to acquire.

There is an ogre by the name of Zzarc'Vul who resides in the mound in southern Duskwood. If you can, bring to me his monocle and I will use that as our lens!
