Pretty easy quest, pickpocket the spikey hair undead for the key, stealth to the top of the tower and sap the elite, take the journal from the chest, and then run out or vanish (if you've learnt it already).

If you have your distract ability already you can use that instead of sap'ing the elite. Worked fine for me. Did the whole quest and didn't use my weapons once.

Pickpocket the Malformed Lev24 Defias guard for the key. He patrols around the tower and is often alone, just wait for opportunity.

Enter tower in stealth mode.
Up one level is a guard stationed in center of pathway. Try to sneak passed her by walking up on the railing to the right (wait for patroling guard to be away).

Even if you alert her, keep going to the right to next landing up. She will follow but you can easily kill her without alerting patrol guard. Stealth your way passed dual patrol on 3rd floor and make your way to top floor.

Circle around to the right, chest is on floor near desk. Sap the boss, the open chest - take book - make a hasty getaway. Or wait for the boss to walk away from the table, or as mentioned above use distract. Open the box and then restealth. You can jump to first floor and run out - hopefully no guards patrolling out front, or stealth out again.

Would just like to add that you NEED to have to trained your lockpicking to 70, or you won't be able to open it. The key you get from pickpocketing won't do the trick.

This will probably save the confusion for rogues like myself that leveled in draenei areas to 20 and hadn't leveled up their lockpicking in Redridge yet.

To do this quest at level 20, it takes timing. First if you try to pickpocket the Malformed Defias Drone, he will either see you and beat you down, or not give you time to pickpocket. After a while of patrolling he despawns. Quickly stealth into the tower and wait for him to respawn at the entrance of the tower. Before he has time to react, pickpocket the key. Stealth up to the boss without getting seen (yes its possible), and get behind the boss. Sap the boss and open the chest. After this I just jumped to the lowest level and sprinted out. Good luck.

Make sure that you pickpocket the malformed first!
The reason for that is that the chest at the top of the tower, which is super easy if your lockpicking is close to maxed (I did it at 90/100) with a lockpicking set of tools, the chest can infect you with a poison that does not go away easy. It also helps the mobs detect you while you are stealthed. I got discovered by EVERY mob EVERYWHERE I went, while before I was just fine and almost never discovered.
So... pickpocket the fool first.

lvl23 Rogue.

I took the quest.. and went straight into the tower (thought the 'key' was in there somewhere). So i reached the top in stealth no problems. Saw a lockbox. Managed to pick it no probs (100 lockpicking skill) so i got the journal. Then went down the tower.. had a look around and found a single mob lvl24. I figure he's the one with the key. I tried to pp him but he detected me every single time. And his dmg output is INSANE, surely something is wrong there, blizz?

So i guess the poison you get from opening the lockbox which gives the 7 DAY debuff to your agility reduces your chances of not being detected in stealth a LOT.

I then tried to use my skills. And it worked, even with the poison on me.

So if you manage to mess up like i did and get poisoned before pickpocketing the guy (Malformed Defias Drone) for the key::

1. Distract him
2. Use vanish (you have 10 seconds of much improved stealth when using this)
3. Sprint in (doesn't break stealth) and pickpocket him from behind. He will not detect you under improved stealth.
4. Run away!111 Use Evasion if necessary

can anyone answer a question for me, i have the key, but am unable to unlock the chest. i cant right click the key, or lockpick the chest as i am too low in lockpicking (but i have the key!) any help appreciated

Thanks for sharing everyone, especially the writeup from Renice. I tried last night for fun. the pickpocket for the key was a breeze. I died twice inside the tower because I was being a bit careless and then I did not really watch the guards well. If you time it right, you can stealth all the way up to the top without a problem. I am lvl 20 and I have my MOD maxed at 5/5 and I was still seen by the lvl 23 guards inside when I got close. So the 3rd time, I timed it well and ran up on the side the guard was not on. I went all the way up, sap'd the guy, opened the lock and took the book (lockpicking skill was at 92) and hightailed out. Now I am trying to get rid of the 7 DAY poison but from what I am seeing I can't get a bronze bar from anyone other that the AH.

This quest can seem a little hard, cuz most ppl think that you have to kill the man in top of the tower ... but the solution is very simple .... just stealth go behind him and SAP ..... then you get alot of time to open the chest. that was how i did...

And OMFG that drone thing is very overpowered compared to its lvl.

I am good equiped level 21 , have no potions in improved stealth , have the key from that drone but i cant lock pick the chest because : You skill is not high enough :(. What skill does i need to open the chest ? And where can i gain big lockpicking skill ? please help me cose i realy dont know. Or does i have to pickpocket him ?

Easy breasy quest for level 20 rogue...got the key from the first time then made my way up to the top in stealth...turns out my lockpicking wasnt high enough though , so I called a friend who picked the lock when I sapped the guy at top...Only he got it though xD...oh well back to redridge for skill...Otherwise the quest is easy , but the 100 lockpicking skill requirement bugs me ><

i tried on 21 got the book but teh key took me like an 1 hour the zombie sees me in steath when im behind tree and so i could not get behind him also when i pocketed him he automaticaly atcked. I have 5 points in master of deception tehre is something wrong. I could only get key when a mage sheeped him lol

Best let another rogue distract the boss before you try to unlock it. The 30 rogue i had help me with couldnt even take him down 3/4 and i was lucky i got the lock picked.

The key is on the guard with a club, not the axes. You can bypass most guards with stealth cept for one or two.

It was easy for me. All I had to do is sneak to the guy with the spikey shoulder and hair, pic pocket him. Yay, got the key. Then I went up there. But I had to go back to Redridge to level my lockpicking. So I got it to 100. I went back to the tower, and I sap the elite guy, and take the little book.
That thistle tea sounds good. >_<

Why sap Klaven Mortwake? You get Magic Dust when you start the quest. It lets an enemy sleep for 30 seconds, which is about the same as what Sap does, but this magic dust can't fail, I think, and Sap can.

You probably need the lockpicking tools.. pick one up in one of the vendors. Also i kept on getting seen by the guy outside, so i went inv. and waited by the door of the castle, as he begins to appear, target him and pick it before he becomes fully there. Back up and wait for him to leave. you never are in his line of sight so it should be safe. (i had the other undead walk to where i was at and just look at me.. they walked away after abit..) hehe.. gl

ok, where too after alther's for lockpicking? ive got mine to 83 but the locked boxes are green and never increase my skill, and engineer's practice locks are grey for me.i tried going to wetlands but the locked boxes there are all red, and i cant open them.

just wanted to add for the sake of argument that if you read the diary thats complementary when getting the quest states that the mobs are rather fragile to ambush.

which they are ... one shot one kill.

have to admit that i didnt figure to sap the boss though.. -_-

Maybe I trust my abilities more than whoever wrote this, but here's how it went when I did this at 20: I pickpocketed the Malformed Defias Drone, and then stealthed my way all the way up the stairs past all the wanderers and to the chest. Then I unlocked it without aggroing Klaven. Now granted my heart was pounding the entire time, but it's doable without the death if you're patient.

This is a very easy quest.

After you talk to the lady and get the journal stealth up.
Pick pocket the spikey haired zombie (This was the worst part because he resisted alot)

After you have the key stealth up again and head into the tower AMBUSH the first guard when she comes downstairs.

Then AMBUSH the second guard.

Stealth up again and avoid the rest of the guards (it's easy just walk a ways behind them until you can go up the ramp)

When you reach the top SAP the main guy and use lockpick on the chest then use the hearthstone if you have enough time, if not you will prolly die you can just rez at the graveyard and go to SW.

If he resists your SAP then you are prolly going to die just come back and rez on the top floor and try again.

After you have the journal and the key head to SW don't worry about the poison either use anti-venom or wait till you get to SW and the gnome downstairs will give you a quest to make the antidote and it is all in town very easy.

Thats it I hope this helps I see a lot of rogues out there having trouble with this quest I did it at 20 it took me a couple tries on the pickpocket but after I had the key it took me about 2 mins to finish in the tower.....

I don't know why everyone says you need to die. I just solo'd at lvl 20, human, with 2 points in MoD. Pick pocketing is easy, all the guards are on rotation, so just stay oposite of them, got to the top, sap'd the guy like said, opened box, looted, jumped down, hit sprint and was gone. I only took 1 hit. Total time = about a minute and a half.

REALLY easy. Pickpocket key from drone (make sure you are behind him), and then go to the tower and kill the guards. Stealth up the stairs to the top and sap Klaven and lockpick the chest to get the book. Before sap runs out, vanish and find your way out. Btw, the recipe you get is VERY USEFUL so keep it and learn cooking til you reach 50 and make this tea. DO NOT sell the THISTLE TEA RECIPE!

I dunno, was hard for me. Tried 3 times at level 20, 3 at 21, dying without pickpocketing the key. Best I could do at 21 was get the key pop-up window to appear before the malformed drone scattered by bones to the wind. By level 22 had a couple points of MOD, as well as Vanish and Distract skills. I still got iced once by the drone, but got the key on second try. Still, guards gutted me once on the way up the tower. The dude at top also wasted me once, but on another occasion Vanish saved me. Final try I successfully sapped him, got book from chest, but was waylaid on way out and the guards wiped the floor with me. I'm not looking forward to seeing the armor repair bill.

The key isnt for the box, its for the tower.

Your lockpicking needs to be at 90+ to pick the box.

I am a level 21 NE rogue, I got the quest initially from Stromwind, and found the hidden agent next to the tree. The quest was red to me at that time, but I figured why not give it a try.

I picked the guys pocket, to get the key (you only need the key for turn in). First try, easy. I stealthed up the tower, avoiding the defias inside....easy. I sapped the guy at the top, ran over to the chest, opened it and got the journal...easy.

After that, I got scared, jumped down to the bottom of the tower, aggro'd 2 defias, hit the bottom, used sprint, and got the heck outta there.

Overall, if you use your skills, this is a pretty easy quest, you have to get the notion out of your mind that you are going to battle your way through it though. If you should decide to do it that way, you should know that the defias in side, and the undead outside, do NOT drop any loot.

The hardest part about it was getting poisoned for 7 days, but that is another story and quest lol.

I think I F'd up this quest. I made the mistake of following another Rogue into the tower and getting the chest BEFORE I got the Key. Now, the key is not with the spiked hair dude no matter how many times I come back and wait for him to re spawn. Even with the books in hand, I couldn't complete the quest. I eventually just had to dump them, abandon the quest and hope I could start over. To no avail, I'm afraid.

It seems the Touch of Zanzil affects your ability to stealth, so..

Don't lock pick the chest at the top of the tower because as soon as you open the chest you become infected and you can't pick pocket the key from the zombie outside the tower, he will detect you.

Bronze tube i bought from engineer in IF

Chartreuse silk doesn't become clickable until you accept the quest to collect the ingredients.

you MUST remove the poison before attempting to pickpocket the Malformed drone (at least if you're trying to solo this at level 20). If you don't remove the poison, the drone will see you from a mile away... and that almost means certain death, since he hits like a 30+ mob.

Used stealth to pickpocket the key from the Malformed Defias Drone outside the tower, follow him carefully in stealth (helps if you have spent talent points in stealth speed inprovment) and then stealth into the tower.

Work your way up slowly, take it careful and use the hiding places on each stairway and wait for the guards to move out the way.

Eventually when you get to the top Sap the guy and then sprint over to the chest and open it (you do NOT need lockpicking as you have got the key from the Drone outside) and if you are lucky you will JUST get it open in time before the Sap wears off (first time I didn't, second time I did) then jump down the tower and get out.

As a Lvl 20 Human Rogue I died twice doing this, but it was great fun as it feels really sneaky and rogue-like :)

Once you have done this, GET YOUR COOKING UP - thistle tea is AWESOME

Also, you can cure the Touch of Zanzil with a cheap potion of poison resisitance (search the Auction House for poison) and cure yourself and then you can get poisons from the Rogue trainer (and I HIGHLY reccomend you do!)

Lvl 21 Elf Rogue- It took me a couple tries to pickpocket the key- probably cuz I was getting too close! I found that it helps to hit the pickpocket key repeatedly while you sneak up on the Malformed until you get the distance just right. After that there's no trick to it, just go up the ramps/stairs quickly and stick in the middle of them if you have to wait- dunno what people are talking about with the 2 that talk. Even the chest was easy to open! After that just drop down the tower and run like hell.

if you haven't done the lvl 16 quest for lockpicking, you need to do that first. my lockpicking was at 81 when i did this quest, and i think I failed once. You don't need the key for the chest, just your thieving tools.

Well, I successfully completed this quest two days ago after I hit 20. It was quite easy.

First, I went to the Stormwind bank, stripped most of the equipments that I wore (I knew I was going to die several times, in fact I only died once, and I don't want to pay for the repair cost), and store them at the bank.

Second, I had my druid alt to make me a pair of gloves, pants & a pair of boots, then get myself a cheap dagger worth 50 coppers at the store.

Finally, it's show time! After having prepared myself for this particular quest, I head to the river bank near Klaven Tower to get my quest from the SI:7 agent who is hiding under the tree (Note: Press "v" to easily detect her).

I died on the 1st pickpocket attempt (the Malformed Defias Drone got me after I failed to pickpocket him, this guy hits pretty hard).

On the way to the top I was discovered twice by the patrolling lady on the 1st floor, and almost got stabbed to death by her dagger.

Suprisingly, my sap decided to land at the big guy (Klaven) on my 1st attempt. Right after I got the journal, I jumped to the bottom of the tower (ouch, I was panicked), drink my lesser healing potion, and managed to escape w/ tiny portion of my health intact.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of picking the chest first because I couldn't find the malformed drone to pickpocket. Once you have Touch of Zanzil, you need to get it cleared or else this quest just became ten times harder for you. When I got Touch of Zanzil, I basically just went over to Duskwood and ground up spiders until I got a Small Venom Sac, made some Anti-Venom, and moved on.

Pickpocked malformed guard but then decided to attack him, having easily beaten creatures a couple of levels higher than me before. Either I was unprepared and messed up, or he hits above a lvl 23, becuase I died before I realised what was happening.

Tip - set your loot to auto loot (through main menu > interface options) - so that you get the key as soon as you pick the pocket (saw a post of someone who successfully picked the pocket but was killed before they looted the item).

Stealthed into the tower and to the first floor - got too close to the guard and was engaged in combat - but killed without too much prob.

Stealthed past the other guards - sapped the main man - lock picked the chest and took the book (auto loot saving time again), jumped and stealthed down the tower and then sprinted out the door and out of the range of any combatants.

If you have the "vanish" ability, just "Sap" the fool and pick the lock. saw "Sap" fail and the guy doing it vanished and came back. I then "Sapped" successfully (was only 20, no vanish). he picked it, it respawned, I picked it. 1/2 way through my attempt "Sap" wore off, and my compatriot attacked to distract him.

We both died, but we also both managed to get the chest open and complete the quest.

NOTE: Sap wore off 1/2 way through the SECOND picking. doing it solo you should be able to pick and vanish (or run) while he's still dazed.

First time I did this quest, I didn't even realise that I had to pick someone's pocket. I came to the tower at lvl 20-21, took one look at the Malformed Defias Drone, and decided to come back later.
At lvl 24 I managed to kill him once, but got no key - I still didn't get it. Thought I had to kill the guy on top of the tower to get the key, so I called on a lvl 60 Guildmate.
Guildmate wipes the entire tower, and I get the book... and the Touch of Zanzil.
It makes very, very much sense that the curse makes the drone spot you miles away when you're poisoned by it. I died 15 times at least when trying to pickpocket - in the end all of my armour was red, and the Drone could kill me even quicker.
When I finally got it, I was like: YEEEEES! I didn't count tries, because that would've made me seriously depressed.
I pity the lvl 22 rogue who stayed with me during the whole thing, giving me advice. >.<

The second time I still didn't know what the Touch of Zanzil did to me. Fortunately, since I had had so much trouble with this part of the quest, I decided to pickpocket first. I got it on first try, and was in heaven.
The chest part wasn't as easy-pie. Mainly because last time I had a lvl 60 killing his way up the tower for me. Now I was at lvl 20 and had to sneak up... eep.
With the help of a little patience (and Sprint on a few occasions) I managed to get stealthed to the top, without having to kill anyone (or be killed). All it takes is correct timing.

A successful Sap to the head of top boss - since there was noooo way that he wouldn't detect an upstart lvl 20 - lockpick and quest completed. Heartstoned out in front of their small noses :D

Soloed it at Lvl 21, but DAAAAMN that was hard, without vanish...

I easyly stealed the key (Dunno what all the fuss was about), then climbed up the tower. My first idea was to pull Kearen out of the tower, but I allways either died from the fall, or the undead outside killed me, so I just sapped him, stealed the contents of the box, then jumped out (flead :)) and then cured the poison, it's fairly easy that way.

Pick Pocket the undead, Stealthed to the top of the tower. Then saped Klaven Mortwake, runed to the box, and vanished. Pretty easy.
Also, i did this with 107 Lock pick, which i got from the Q called "Alther's Mill" in about 20 min.

its not that friggin hard to stealth to the top, if have to die and then res at top maybe your not cut out to be a rogue? Maybe try something easier? Like a warrior or a Teletubby in "Po's wacky teletubby adventure game"?

The key has nothing to do with the chest. As with most games, class specific quests tend to imply using class specific skills. In this case Pickpocket and Lockpicking are the tools you need.

I agree with the way the quest was setup. If its just a run up the tower and an easy fight, how can it be worth it. When you hit 20, try it. Dying a couple of times isnt too bad. I died once on the pickpocket and once on the lockpicking (Although the lockpicking death was BS because I had killed a dust devil outside the tower and it dropped sleeping powder. I thought hmmm, should work well aghainst Klaven at the top. Well yeah it stuck.....for about 3 seconds, bam - dead). Second time was cake, used sap, lockpick failed once, second LP was a success, then high-tailed it out.

BTW, my lockpicking skill was at 79. Now its 80 :-)

If you get frustrated easily then dont try this until your like 30 or something. Half the fun I have had in this game is running around mobs 2-5 lvls higher then me (and once 30 lvls higher, giving me the record for most deaths within a 6 minute span. I was dying so fast, the timer to resurrect needed to catch-up) sorry for the ramble.

Oh and the girl is stealthed near a tree by the tower. She is very close to the riverbank. Just walk up from the tower and you should see her.

If you are having a problem with getting the poison cured (to make it easier to get pass mobs and what not), a druid with cure poison can take care of it. My friend is doing this quest and having a hard time pickpocketing the guy. We decided to give up for now and I managed to cure the poison with my level 23 Druid.

Now that I see the poison makes it harder to pickpocket, we'll definitely give it a go again.

you can also cure the poison with first aid skill, the anti venom.

also, you pickpocket the key from the single guy, lvl 24, dong remember name exactly. If he does NOT have the key that means another rogue just pick pocketed him. Wait 5 to 10 min and he will despawn and respawn a few min later with the key.

If you stealth up the tower and lockpick the chest before stealing the key, the boss wont spawn and the guards arent as sharp eyed.

So yeah, make it easy, lockpick first, then come back down and pickpocket the drone, and its easy pie.

For the sake of those who opened the chest first before pickpocketing the key.

The poison which klaven inflicted you can be cured by using the anti venom from First Aid.(It works, I tested it myself)

After curing yourself, try pickpocketing again, cause the poison which will allow the mobs to detect you more easily is now gone.

just pickpocket one of the guys walking around outside, did it first try with master of deception, he never even thought he saw me. stealth up past everyone, the 2 guards will talk right where u need to walk, just wait and they will walk away and u can get though and just go up and sap the guy and get the chest. then do what rogues do best, jump down, sprint and evasion out of there. did all this without getting hit once :D

I actually picked the chest with a skill of 81.

They key you must pickpocket off the single guard circling the tower named "Malformed Defias Drone". If he has the key, there will be a shiny yellow trail following him. If you don't see shiny yellow sparkles, don't try. Wait until you see them to pickpocket.

OK here's how to solo this quest at level 20:

Around the tower there's a level 23 with spiky hair and a mace. Stealth and sneak up behind him, then pickpocket from him.

Now go into the tower. Stealth and go up as far as you can, then die when the guards discover you. As a ghost, go up to the top level of the tower, as far from the elite as possible. Ressurect. Stealth, sap him, lockpick the chest and get the contents. Die again. Quest done.

Did it at level 20, pick pocketed the malformed drone, got alittle close and died.
Stealthed to the top, sapped Klaven, opened the chest at 80 lock picking, jump to the bottom, died again.

ya it was eazy, did it at 21 got the key and got up, but picklocking was at 36, so i went to redridge and got it to 87 and just opened it, easy

Maybe I'm just cursed, but even approaching the Malformed Defias Drone DIRECTLY from behind, he detects me a good 15 yards away. No opportunity to pickpocket. Level 20.

With auto-loot on, spamming pickpocket before the undead defias breaks your stealth works to get the key, even if he spots you because of the debuff.

Soloed as level 20 rogue with 1 point in Master of Deception.

Pick pocket was not a problem, but be quick. If you linger - you will be found. Failed getting a sap on Klaven the first time, he sensed me too early. Second time I used sprint and managed to sap and was able to open the box.

Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, you cannot open the chest at the end of the mission without a decently high (70+) lockpicking skill. It would have been nice had the quest advertised that before I climbed the freaking tower... but, alas, #nochanges.

If you want to pickpocket Defias Tower Key, you'll need to do that first since getting Klaven Mortwake's Journal curses away your stealth (Touch of Zanzil). Or just bring Anti-Venom. I believe The Touch of Zanzil may cure this, so no rush.

You may not have to kill Klaven Mortwake at the top of the tower, you just need what's in the chest. Also, you don't need to pickpocket Malformed Defias Drone, you can just kill him and get the drop.

At level 20.

Pickpocket the key first. Don't go up the tower until you have the key. Also, make sure your hearthstone is available and be sure to have maxed your lockpicking skills.

To get the key - stealth and chase the spikey haired Malforned Drone that patrols solo around the outside of the tower. Don't try and sap him. Just pickpocket him. You don't need to keep up with him - just hit pickpocket once when in range. Stop and loot the key while he walks off.

Next, stealth up to the highest part of the tower that you can. There are heaps of level 23 mobs so it is advised run up and get as high as you can. Die, run back and res at the very top of the tower, away from Klaven. Stealth, sap Klaven, loot chest. Hearth out and you are done!

The journal seems to imply that the undead are particularly vulnerable to Backstab and Ambush.

I see no evidence of this. They don't appear to take any more damage from either of these abilities than your average mob.

Ive pick pocketed the guy and recieved the key about 5 or 6 times now and i can get the journal but the key will never be completed on my quest any one have any idea why?

I don't know if this is addressed here, but I got the 'pockets already picked' message when I tried to pick the Malformed Defias Drone's pocket. So I killed him, hoping he'd respawn and have the key.
Got the key dropped into my pack!

This was my experience with this quest:

I tried it at level 20 but the other mobs could detect me. So, I came back at level 22.

I trained vanish and distract at level 22. I bought some flash powder just in case.

When I got to the area, someone had killed the patrolling mobs. I used distract on the guy that I needed to loot the key.

I went into the tower. There were some mobs patrolling. I avoided them and then the elite was at the top - a few yards away from the box. I opened it, looted and hearthed. I used anti-venom to get rid of the 7 day poison.

Went to the tower, tried to get the key, it read :"already picked the pockets." Another rogue was there at same time and had picked the pocket as I was doing it. Went fishing for 20 minutes, came back still "pockets already picked". So I killed him like the dude above posted, the key did not drop. So I went upstairs sapped him and opened the chest and grabbed the journal. However I still needed the key to complete the quest back in SW. I abandoned quest as have done for many other quests that fail and now it's frigging gone. Well done blizzard, well done. Put in a ticket and now have to wait three days. This quest if garbage.

If you have the poison and still need to grab the key, you can still do it. The guard will spot you, but you have about 0.5s to use pickpocket before he gets his melee attack off and pulls you out of stealth. If you have auto-loot on, it will grab the key for you. If you mess up or flub the timing, just gouge the guard and run off.

Level 20 Rogue

1. Get lockpicking to at least 70 (higher the better, easy to do in Redridge)
2. Pickpocket patrol guy outside the tower for the key
3. Stealth up the tower
4. Sap Klaven Mortwake (it may fail so be prepared to drop down and run out to reset mobs)
6. Lockpick the chest near him

First run, at level 20, I sapped the guy at the top of the tower, but my lockpick failed (I was at lvl90 on lockpicking). The guy got out of the sap and killed me.
The second try, I sapped the guy at the top of the tower, successfully lockpicked the chest and got the item. Ran out without dying and used sprint.
Profit.

The quest is completely broken in SoD rendering completion impossible. And the key you pickpocket does nothing.

I've been staking out this tower for weeks, <name>. Recently a major shipment came through from Duskwood, and along with it came those guards.

What are they? Your guess is as good as mine. I can tell you one thing - they aren't human.

Anyhow, the shipment had a chest - which is what I assume those abominations are guarding. The zombie with the spikes holds a key we'll need.

Get that key, get in the tower, and uncover whatever is in that chest. Take your findings back to Mathias.
