Just off the north side of the dam at 56,13 there's a small barrel, two guards spawn after you "open" it.

I had a hard time finding this. I kept going to the 3 Dark Irons around the corner by the clifts. Finally I found the correct ones. As soon as you go down the end of the dam turn LEFT and then follow along the landward side of the dam. There were only 2 Dark Iron Sappers there. That's the keg you need.

Area: Stonewrought Dam
There is "Stonewrought Dam" in the north of "The Loch lake".
Cordinates: (55.51)

1.You may goes down "the east stairs" of the Stonewrought dam.
2.There are two Level 17 "Dark Iron Sapper"(Dark Dwarf). Let's kill them.
3.Let's open the "Suspicious Barrel".
4.You may return to "Chief Engineer Hinderweir VII"(Dwarf) at the Stonewrought Dam.

56,13 are the correct coordinates. This is the second time I've done this quest, and the second time I've done it this way. ;)

If you find yourself thinking how the hell am I gonna kill those 2 guards to get to that barrel... Then may I suggest running like a sissy to the mountaineers on the bridge. =)

As a druid (or any kind of caster), I stood on the side of the bridge and moonfired so they'd come running, and continued till I managed to drag them to the first mountaineer (Mountaineer Haggil) who incidentally doesn't like Dark Iron Dwarves. ;) He'll help you kill them without hesitation as long as you drag the confrontation into his face. You even get the xp and the loot! For my rogue I just threw something at them and sprinted like mad. =)

Easy way for the lower levels to complete that quest since it seems to be 17's or higher guarding that damn barrel.

somebody said to me that the quest was bugged i dont get it?/

Think there is a bug with this one - I opened the barrel, took the contents and in the process died. When i re-spawned the quest has disappeared from my list. Have tried to go back to accept again but it doesn't exist. Any ideas?

Did part one today with no problems. Then again, the two guards were already dead, so it was pretty easy. The barrel worked fine.

This one is easy. You get the quest, then walk to the east side of the dam. Go down the ramp, turn around, and walk back behind the dam. There are 2 Dark Irons there, about lvl 18-19 I think. A lot of folks tend to swing by and kill them, since they drop decent for the level, so there's a good chance that little drum is unguarded. Grab a sample and run back to the Chief Engineer and call it good.

Finished this part of the quest at level 16. Fairly easy, you just have to be careful if you have them both on you.

I've seen the dark dwarves but i cant find the barrel...help?

They're L17, and you can't get one without the other one.

I just did it with a easy trick.
Take both guards aggro and run up the ramp and make sure they follow, jump down to the right and take the barrel.

Be sure you get away from the dwarves when they are almost dead, they make themselves into a bomb!

Investigate the area near the eastern ramp of the Dam and bring Chief Engineer Hinderweir a clue that might reveal what the Dark Iron Dwarves are up to.

Thank the stars someone is concerned about the well-being of the Dam. First the destruction of the Thandol Span and then the pillaging of Dun Modr! I have no doubt that the Dam will be the target of the next Dark Iron threat. Most of the security detail here was reassigned to the Alliance Front, including my top inspector.

That's why I need you, <name>. I spotted some Dark Iron Sappers milling about the eastern ramp of the Dam. Investigate the area and bring back a clue.
