It is stated in the qeust as a stattute but with you mouse over it says a sealed barrel

You need to find a Sealed Barrel, and I just found it at 13,38..

13,38 - it's a "Sealed Barrel", half in the ground behind the camp.

If you walk north up the coast toward the ships it's close to the coast, 2nd hovel up from the road.

Alright just look in the second hovel and its in a sort of jug like thing. and it looks nothing like a statue so just head north towards the second hovel and it should be there.

You have to do all three parts of this.
You clear the hovels in whichever of the three groups and you will find the first barrel or crate, then you will get a new quest to find the second, then you will get a quest to find the third. There's no shortcutting it. I cleared a group and found the first barrel and then did the same for the second barrel, but didn't accept the quest... cleared all three villages (and some others out of the area) but couldn't find the third. Went back, accepted the second quest and found the barrel in the same village I found the first one in.
Just go through the steps.

Just go from the coords (13,38) and continue North to the next couple encampments. Easy quest, just look for either a barrel or some boxes.

Looking for the key to open the locked barrel - ok key for second quest as well as the barrel it opens is found at the second hovel!

You thoroughly search this cluster of Murloc hovels, and find no trace of the Menethil Statuette.

Perhaps one of the two nearby hovels to the north and northeast will have more clues.
