Complete the first 3 quest the guy in feralas gives you which is the helmet, vest and shoulders then you should get the quests for the boots and leggins. you have to make leather/turtle items to get these and its good to have a stack of wildvine.

72 turtle scales to make the hand-ins for this quest, and the turtle scales are at best a 50% drop, the area the 50% drops live in isn't all that big, and - on proudmoore at least - heavily farmed out. You gotta really want that pattern...

without a doubt, the coast at the Hinterlands is the place to be for turtle scales. An added benefit of farming there is that a lot of folks will be doing the turtle killing quest. If your timing is good, you won't need to kill any turtles at all, simply skin the turtles that have already fallen victim to others questing the area. By lvl 47 my hunter has been able to get the mats for this entire series with plenty to spare. Enough so that I just gave a guildmate a bunch of the scales after i crafted several pieces to go to AH.

The coast with turtles in Tanaris isn't very big, but the coast in Hinterlands is much better (and about 10 levels higher). If you are high enough level, go there instead.

There are two "Wild Leather Leggings" quests, one for Alliance and one for Horde. This one is for Horde.

For Classic, you still have to complete the first three Wild Leather pattern quests for the shoulders, helm and vest before you unlock these last two in Classic, in addition to the armor quest mentioned in the quick facts.

So go farm all your mats :P

This is old news I know. But there is no comment talking about THE spot (lands end) at the very south of Tanaris. You will NEVER run out of turtles to farm. Head to the east coast and swim down/run along the wall until you reach the land of turtles.
