In order to do this quest you need to have the flask ready, with either your bag open or on one of your action bars. When one of the caster Troggs begins to cast his spell(his hands will glow green) right click the flask. You'll collect the goo. He'll still shoot you though, so be ready to take him down after that.

Why this may not work...

Relog first and foremost. Then, examine your backpack and see if it is a FULL vial instead of an unfilled.

While doing this, have a party member start to kill the beast. Now... Right click and wait for it to end. If the beast dies before you get it, don't fret.. there's frequent spawns. My advice is click it right as the Trogg charges, and then it might work. Unless a very high level strode in and killed it instantly.

do not use on corpses of them... even though they are still glowing

What 2 hour limit? I opened a GM ticket and it is a known bug. Once the GM replys they offer to reset the NPCs so that you can finish the quest.

i used the vail and it is full and it says that the quest is complete. However, ozzie togglevort doesn't have a question mark over his head and i cannot talk to him. Must be bugged or something...

No 2 hour limit on this quest.
Doesn't matter if the mob is alive when u fill the phial it still don't work.
Its bugged whatever way you do this.
just open a ticket and get Blizzard to reset the NPC or watever.....

I did the quest without a hitch. 1.8.3.

and seriously, don't complain about how bad this bug is. if you want to see a buggy fked up game go play starwars galaxies. WoW is 10000 times less buggy than SWG.

I didn't realize that the radioactive people had to be alive to fill the phial. I tried it several times while in there, but always on a dead one. It kept giving me "target out of range".

I'll try it again with a living one next time.

Wow, what a pain this quest was.

I tried filling the vial a dozen times on dead Troggs, but it kept telling me I was 'out of range.' Not 'invalid target' or what have you, but simply too far away. So I sat right on top of one of their corpses and STILL couldn't do it. I then activated the vial on a living Trogg that was pummeling one of my allies, and it worked. It didn't give me any 'vial filled' or quest item messages, but it did get the job done. I brought it back... and got the next quest in the chain, which sounds even worse. Joy!

Sadly, I'm a gnome and feel a bizarre racial loyalty to finish this ridiculous quest tree.

I had the same problem but it was easily solved. They must be alive when you collect the sample. Simply walk up to them and let them attack you (they don't do too much damage) and start collecting the sample. It should go by without a hitch.

Heres how to do it

when u fight thre monster dont kill it while ur group is fighting it use the phial really xclose to it, if it says failed ur doing something wrong

I have completed this quest, but when i return to talk to Ozzie Togglevolt he wont talk to me about finishing the quest. Any idea why?

it is much easier for rogues to do this, sapp the mob, then starting filling up. kill if you desire or vanish and walk away

The NPCs were broken apparently, as of this point in time they were working again.

Also, soloed as a 30 Rogue. Just pick a green dude, Sap him, and shoot it off.

i also have been unable to get ozzie to talk to me, anyone reported this yet or just talked about it? i cant get his speech bubble to work at all anywhere i click on him...

To get the fallout, you must be in attack range of the monster.
Yes, the monster (Irradiated invaders/pillagers) must be alive while you gather the fallout from the mob.

I reported the problem with Ozzie to a GM, and got an answer back that it was fixed. So I go backto Ozzie, and surprise! It still didn't work.

Just filled up the phial - u hv to be right next to the green man and fill up.

went through gnomer and tried this, killed several but it always tells me "out of range" whats going wrong? do they have to be alive or something?

I've the same problems, I've filled the phial but he doesn't speak.

After visiting that damned gnome on about a dozen seperate occasions he finally accepted the phial.... just keep trying and eventually you can get it.

Solo'd as 29 Warrior. Just throw on a shield and carefully pull an Iridated one, use your flask, then you can kill or run, whatever.

Don't waste your time like I did...I've run this stupid place so many times it isn't funny. Do this one OUTSIDE of the instance. You could be able to "solo" this and turn it in before joining a group to do the following quest. VERY annoyed to discover I could have done this on my own and then joined a group to finally finish this place out...sigh. Welcome to Classic

Quest is somewhat bugged . On one of my character i was able to finish the quest but on other char i wasnt able to interact with Ozzle Togglevolt altough Questie is showing that quest is avaible.

sent ticket to GM's but they wont help.

The Day After is a breadcrumb quest, not a prerequisite.

This quest is available in SoD. However, the breadcrumb quest that leads you there is not (The Day After). So remember to pick this one up!

Use the Empty Leaden Collection Phial on Irradiated Invaders or Irradiated Pillagers to collect radioactive fallout. Once it is full, take it back to Ozzie Togglevolt in Kharanos.

Since the accident, all Gnoarn thinks about or talks about is cleansing Gnomeregan of the trogg infestation and finding a cure for the sickness that plagues it, <name>.

Luckily, Razzle and I are close to some kind of cure - either that or the recipe for a really powerful rum. We won't know until we test! Naturally, in order to test our theory, we're going to need a few things; namely, fallout from the irradiated troggs in Gnomeregan. Fill up this phial with the green glow and bring it back!
