The Raptor Grounds are located west of Northwatch Hold. Follow the mountains, and to the south there will be a path marked with raptor nests the whole way. The stolen silver is at the end of this path at another nest, guarded by 3 raptors. In my experience, the front raptor can be pulled, so you only have to deal with 2 raptors.

Solo'd as 16 hunter, stand on the hillside facing north and its possible to pull two raptors. Make sure the pet takes aggro and put out a immolation trap incase one brakes free.

This quest is ez. Just walk on the wall with no raptors to the end of the canyon. Then pull the last 2 raptors. Once dead you can sneak up take the silver and walk along wall again to get out and your done in under 5min.

I did it as a 17 priest, i could pull the front and then regenerate and take the last two. U don't have to die and then run back.

Jarnagin you moron, they DID GIVE the CORRECT coordinates. The exact location of the silver-chest is: 57,54. I'm standing on top of it right now. Yes with some mountain climbing and sneaking on the back wall behind the nests, you can get it with minimal fights. Jarnagin's coordinates are the middle of some Quilboar camp, INCORRECT! (Unless this chest "floats" around, doubtful!

Geez, for all you people who's answer to "how do I see coordinates" is "Get Cosmos", you're a bunch of slackwits.

Telling someone to get Cosmos just so they can see coords is like suggesting someone get a full, 7.1 surround sound home theatre setup with 1000 disk DVD changer, tuner and amp, just so they can have a digital clock in their living room.

Cosmos is a bloated piece of crap that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. There are far better mods out there...including mods simply for adding coordinates to your map.

Exact location is 58,54 I used cosmos. It's a little black box that sez stolen silver when u put ur cursor over it. It's guarded by 3 raptors, no matter what u do u'll have 2 kil at least 1. Good luck

Directions to the grounds are as follows:

From the Crossroads, follow Gold Road until you pass the Stagnant Oasis. (see your map). When you come to the bridge leading back to Camp T, stop, turn left and follow the empty river bed (or canyon; not a cannon that I hunted for hours for!).

When you see Northwatch come on to screen turn to the right and you will see raptors area. Move into it and it changes to Raptors grounds. You can get Horn quest here too.

Be careful as Plainstriders do attack unprovoked here too. The raptors gang up in 3's sometimes too. As a lvl 18 hunter with a pet raptor, I had a tough time.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to set the darned feathers on the nests! Good luck. PS skinners will get leather here!

Ok so the coordinates that people gave are all messed up I found this at 56,52 and you have to go to the back of the slot in the mountains there. the little silver box is at the last nest of three raptors there is three raptors at every tent there. a little hard I am a 17 mage and I couldn't do it on my own i kept dieing. I mean i could have but would have died to many times so i had one lvl 15 warlock and myself and we kicked butt. Good Luck everyone

38, 50 - Rear mobs. Kill the first of the THREE seperately. Pulled all three? Run and try again, noob. All classes should be able to solo the other two raptors.

17 Shaman, no special tricks, two greens.

You can only see the stolen silver from the right side since the level 18 raptor usually stands with its foot right on it. If you run your mouse over the area, all you'll see is raptor otherwise.

Definitely come in from the back. There are two nests to the left of the silver, looking at the silver from the back. If you can sneak around the raptors to the rear and take out the farther nest on the left you'll have a much easier time when pulling.

Be careful because a level 17 raptor periodically walks through the middle of the camp on patrol.

Pull the first raptor from the front. It's very hard (maybe impossible) to pull only one of the other two raptors guarding the silver. In fact I think they may be proc-linked. When I tried to pull one, it took damage, turned and ran toward me. The other didn't do anything until the first was halfway to where I was... then the other one started following the first. Just be ready. I don't think there's any way to keep one of them from adding to the other unless you put it to sleep or something.

I am a lvl 16 mage and I completed the q alone...the tatic was:pull the 15's with a wand whitauth aggro the other 2...when killend it sheep the 15's and kill the other...when u kill the 16's kill the other:)

go into the raptor's ground's and hug the left side go all the way into the back kill the pat first then the third in the triangle at last camp finally sheep one and attack other or however you take on 2 lvl 17/18 raptors with your class

you can not fear here unless you want to aggro about a dozen raptors

or for those without tloc .. run east from camp taurajo, past Bramblescar and it is in at "pocket" shortly thereafter.

safest way is climb the mountain as sone as you can from Taurajo and keep to the left ehge, then keep an eye on with area you run past, suddenly you are right above Raptor Ground where the chest is

I went to the raptor cannon thing and i got to the back by jumping down fromt he mountain behind them. I then went around the back part were the box is got up on the tree to the farthest west and got the raptor by the box closest to me (level 18) and drew him. killed that guy then drew the other 2 a 17 and 18. i used a stoneclaw totem for one and killed the other, then healed myself and killed the 18. went and got the chest then found a way out and over the mountain ( for the record im a lvl 19 shaman).

if u go down the southern path from cross roads till u reach the cannon going east get in the cannon folo it till u get to the mountains keep looking to the right u should see some rapters then just go up the mountain side and around the back kill the rapters and get the box

The entrance is at 57,52. The silver is at the very back. If you are a rogue all you need to kill are 2 LVL 16 and a LVL 18

Three raptors guard it. The foremost can be pulled separately, but the last two must be taken together.

The chest does not disappear when you loot it, so it can be used by multiple people consecutively.

Wouldn't you want to go in the front and just slaughter everything though? You get more xp and a little bit extra loot, not to mention the skins if you're a skinner. That's one way to play the game, actually play and level.
Especially since it seems most are doing this at a lower level, its good XP. Drink it for all its worth, take you time and level, level, level.

Enter the canyon at 57,52 and go along the left side of the canyon. You will find the chest at 58,53 with 3 raptors guarding it.

like people have said before, hug the left side and you can make it without aggro. (at least at level 17)

as a mage i got way behind the box, up the hill, and sheepied the raptor closest to me. the other one pulled and i ran about 50 yards back from the box and killed him, then the sheep broke and then that raptor came and i killed him. i went closer to the box and then killed the third, and just wanlked out the back way. (up the hill then jump off for some fall damage)

Just solo:d this at level 13. I walked on top of the mountains to the "camp" at the back and then simply told my minion to attack the mobs a bit away. My minion lured all the raptors while I opened the box and got the silver. Yes, my minion died.

I just solo'd this with my lvl 17 Priest. As per the instructions provided in previous posts, you can pull one of the 3 raptors in the last nest. Once that is dead, as a Priest you can use Psychic Scream to fear the other two raptors away (and hope it hits).

Grab the loot and then run behind the nest and over the mountain range to get away from the mobs. Worked quite well for me, just test your hit ratio with Psychic Scream on Lvl 17-18 raptors before you try it.

Okay...for all of you who don't have pets since it seems like everyone poasting DOES....
Just did this at level 19 (Priest, Shadow). I did not bother with any of the other nests, went straight to the back one. I was able to pull the front mob without the other two coming. I eneded up having to kill the roamer and then pulled the other two. When I got one down, feared the other, healed, and then ganked him. If you can't heal, just have a potion on hand...just in case.

Well, I wasn't as fortunate as most of these guys were as I had to fight off three of them. Luckily I didn't die (lvl 17 solo). As you probably already read, box is all the way in the back of the camp. If you're doing this quest try and make sure to do -The Angry Scytheclaws- and -Lost in Battle- Both quests are in the vicinity so you might as well do them.

It's really much more like south south-east and farther away from Ratchet than you'd expect. It's on the south side of the big mountain south of Ratchet and almost at Northwatch Hold. Wasn't that hard. Soloed as a level 17 Shaman is just fine.

Even better:

Level 12 hunter, with an lion as pet (The ones outside of Xroads).
Standing at the raptor ground, go left against the wall, you wont get agro from any raptor. Walk to the 3 raptors with the chest. Now, send your pet, and be really fast! I got the silver the moment my pet died, remember it were 3 level 18 raptors! They hit hard on an level 12 pet and hunter..

just run thrrough the raptor grounds kill a few raptors and at the end there should be a chest called stolen silver open it and take the silver run back and hand it in easy depending on ur lvl

Just solo'd this one at lvl 20. If you look on you map you should be directly west of Northwatch Hold. As you go west keep an eye to the opening on your left. There will be a pair of Raptors pacing back and forth in front of a nest. You don't have to kill those two but that is how the rest of the quest is like. Also, there will be one Raptor cruising around from there to the back of the quest item. So, watch for him too. Anyhow, I counted a total of 6 nests with 2 raptors each. The end one, where the loot is, has 3 camped. I managed to pull one, got lucky, then drop the other two. For all the nests I used Immolation Trap then Concussive Shot, send in pet, Serpent Sting and finally Arcane shot. After that it was melee until it died then on to the second raptor beating on me while killing the first. Repeat all teh way to the last nest. The loot is in a box next to the last next. You can't see it unless you kill the mobs then position your view to loot it.

My result:
You gain 1350 experience
Your reputation with Orgrimmar has increased
Received 10 Silver

The exact co-ordinates of the box is 57, 53. Enter the Raptor Grounds (you'll know the way in as it has bit of bone and entrails hanging above it lol) follow the path left until you come to the end with 3 raptors gaurding a yellow patch of ground. Behind one of the raptors is a footlocker like chest which has the Stolen Silver in it.

first pull the one off by his own (occasionally moves)

then just stealth behind the other, garrate, throw up evasion, and just attack normally

had to use one potion, stupid attacks were miss-miss-miss-miss :P

Check this out, I went behind the stolen silver on the hill and made my pet attack a distant raptor....as it went to the distant raptor, all three raptors (defending the stolen silver) went after my pet. Yes, I used a diversion strategy with the pet-attack option. This way I safely got the stolen silver, and died short after the raptors got back from killing my pet...LOL got the stolen silver though! Using this strategy a lvl 10 hunter could do the trick.

The Raptor Grounds are actually located much closer to Northwatch Hold than they are to Ratchet.

The area is south off of the dry riverbed as it leads into the mountain pass west of the hold.

Lots of what appear to be mated pairs of Scytheclaws hang out there.

I just soloed this at lvl 15 with my Tauren Hunter. I made my way in and pulled 1 from the last nest where the silver is. Then I went around back on the hill to where I could see the silver. I sent my pet in and waited a second until both of the remaining 2 were attacking it.

I then ran down and picked up the silver. Then I ran over the back of the hill and got away. Easy as pie. Mmmm pie.

3 raptors guarding the box, not all equally distant from it as one is slightly patrolling outwards.

i was armed with 8 thistle teas, 28 rough dynamite, 4 lesser heal potions and myself being 20 rogue.

i aggroed the 2 closer ones from the rear, gouged one and fought both, used 1 dynamite and heal potion and soloed both, then took on the 3rd of the guard.

Soloed: lvl 16 troll rougue
Head south of rat&*!@ past all the pirates and then hang a right at the human fort. You will see the raptor grounds to your left after you climb the hill. Hug the left hand side untill you get to the back 58,33. watch out for partrolling raptors. Set of three at then end of the valley. Pull partrolling raptor and kill him. Then hit the other two. Got killed at this point but managed to kill one of them. I then ran in sprit form all the way back and claimed corpse. healed up and nailed the last one before the others respawned.

Ok guys i beat u all i got a much much much easier way. (Only for warlocks and Hunters)

As you look at the entrance to Raptor joint, Look a bit to your right you should be able to climb up the hill. Walking all the way around to the end of raptor joint. then slide down half way down the hill so the raptors dont notice you. Send in your pet attacking the one furthest away of the group of 5. make a dash for the crate. the you can either hearthstone it out. Make a run for it. or die and res at graveyard.

from ratchet goto northwatch hold, from there head west like your going back to xroads and you will see some raptors in a little "side road" to the left, at the back of that is the silver. There are 2 nests in the front, each with 2-3 raptors, one more nest on a hill with 2 raptors, and the one gaurding the silver at the back has 3 raptors, all are 17-18. The trick of climing the hill really works. I climbed the hill, skirted around the edge, sent my pet to attack them and when they linked I jacked the loot and ran. This was after an unsucessful frontal attack at lvl 17 lol >< and my pet actually lived through it!

I was a lvl 19 rogue, i stealthed along the side of the mountain and to the back where the box was. I attacked the front one first, then, i was lucky at the time instead of lvl 18's i had one lvl 17 and one 16, so i tool out the 17, got killed, came back, healed and killed the last one. A little fiddly due to dieing yet its worth it since its clear to pick up the box =D and meh silver

BTW its easier said then done when you have a minion or pet o_o

If you are a pet class, you can simply send your pet at the 3 raptors (assuming you're on the east side of them), quickly run in and loot the silver, and shortly after, your pet and you will both die. Just rez at the gy and you'll be good.
Did it easily on a Level 13 Hunter.

You may have killed the raptors, but the silver they stole must be recovered! I have reports that the raptors have a large grouping of nests south of Ratchet, known as the Raptor Grounds. It is likely that they brought our stolen silver there.

Go to this raptor haven and search for the stolen silver. When you find it, return it to me.
