There are several mobs around him, this quest can be quite difficult at level 10. There are 3 floors underground and he is in the bottom one. You'll have to kill 2-3 mobs no matter which way you go down. The bottom is the easiest if you have thew above floor cleared, or at least one side of it, and single pull the mobs at the bottom until you can solo Captain Dargol click on the link above for more information on him. There are between 5-7 mobs if I remember correctly.

I belive it's the right fork past Agamand Mills. Take the right road past the mills and houses and the crypt is at the dead end.

Done it with 12lvl warlock today. Died only twice (once was my stupid mistake). When u enter into Crypt after firs two corners turn left. On the left side are two mobs to compare other side where are three. After that is final comb downstairs u will able pull mobs 1 by 1. Captain Dargol is standing in middle right across room. (do not loot corps or left at least one item, they will res little slower)

I tried solo-ing it with my level 11 Rogue.... I failed miserably. Died 5 times in a row (by that I meant I revived, spent a whole 2 minutes and died again).

Maybe I just suck, but I did notice a whole mess of enemeies chasing me me right when I started to attack one.

I would draw one with throwing and then 3 guys would come chasing my butt out of the crypt. -_-

You guys make it sound like it's cakewalk. I just can't see how. lol

I found this quest a little tricky for one reason: visibility.

As a level 11 warlock, I easily made my way down to just above the Captain's room, and then instead of waiting a couple seconds for the inevitable patrols, I pulled the first mob I saw. Well, I ended up with five mobs running after me. I died, but rezzed, and did it fast, but not too fast after, and it was super easy.

Each floor has one mob at each cardinal point (i.e. N, NW, W, SW, S, etc). In addition, there are patrols. So, this quest is easy to do if you wait for the patrol to pass, then pull the single mob, then pull the patrol, then kill the mob in whatever corner you're going to. Repeat this, and it's easy.

So, go fast to avoid respawns, but don't go too fast. There are enough mobs in the area that unless you get back to your corpse fast, there'll be more than one guy waiting for you.

For you mage and priests it maybe, but when it comes to warriors and rogues its a little harder, we depend on healing potions, armor and good weapons. I come to this place for advice not bragging rights lol.

Anyways besides the occasional little ego boosting stories around this place I find it very uplifting about it. Never thought of not looting. Thanks!

If you're trying to solo this around level 10, do not die on this quest, its a long run from the Brill GY and the mobs respawn quickly

You know that telling everyone what level you did it at ISN'T very helpful. When you post it should tell people something useful not, "I did it at level 10" or something like that.

No matter what all of the boasting children say the fact is that this quest is a little tricky. This quest isn't your typical wham bam thank you mam it does take a certain amount of caution though nothing that will require more than yourself if you are careful. The trick is to selectively choose who you are pulling and at what times. The reason for this is because there are a few patrolling mobs that can jump in on a fight at the worst of times. Specifically for me as a lvl 11 mage I died at a situation where I fought two wailing ancestors and my mana was at nothing by the time I was just about to finish the second one and at this point adding in one more rotting ancestor meant I was toast. Just try to plot out your movements because you will surely die if you pull a Rambo or for you younger kids if you pull a Chuck Norris. I died once but this gave me the ability to do a quick recon on the next two floors and to get a look at the room with Dargol in it. Getting that sneak preview let me know what I was in for. If you do die be sure to get a look at the rest of the dungeon before you rez.

It's too difficult to solo it.
i am a level 12 priest.
You can easy solo to down the first stairs, but too difficult to keep down the second floor.

This quest is attainable as early as Lvl 9 as far as I can tell, maybe earlier.

With a lvl 12 Mage:

Got to the first floor of the Crypt.
Easy as pie.
Went left.
down the second flight of stairs is another room with some mobs in it. I didnt bother with that room.
Went down the third flight of stairs to the third floor where the Captain is.
Pulled the Captain and focused on killing him. Didnt bother with the two adds. Used Nova on the adds and ran out.

Wasnt too hard.

Not too hard as a lock (solo - i was level 10).

Just get your VW up, make sure all the pulled adds are dotted/cursed, and make sure you always have a healthstone (life tap + healstone = awesome). despite what people say, if you know how to pull, you'll never get more than two at a time. unless...

the only hard part was the fact that the mobs respawned REALLY quickly for me. i'm used to playing my hunter where pulling properly became second nature; you really couldn't peel mobs in the crypt because if you pulled them back even a little, you'd run into re-popped mobs. had to pot when i pulled two, and backed up into a third. blah.

oh, and if you need directions, it's in the northern part of the mill area, loc: 51, 28.

going solo is absurd...
i'm right now in level 16, and i barely get down two stairs bellow... the spirits and the corpses attack in packages, and they don't pay attention to the voidwalker, they go directly to you....

Way hard lvl 10 warlock solo.

I can't seem to pull them out one by one, I end up having like 3 wailings on me on the second floor

Did it as a 12 Rogue. Take your time going down, when you get to the bottom room with Dargol in it, take out the two guards at the sides first, then nuke him. For a lvl 13 he hits quite hard so be careful.

Solo'ed this at lvl 13. Just gotta be careful not to draw too many adds at the same time. Otherwise it's a piece of cake for a level 13 priest

This is a pretty tough quest.

I managed to solo it on a lv12 rogue and I think my tactic for this should be doable for more people so I decided to share it.

Enter the crypt and die. Release spirit and walk back, revive at the stairs near leading to the boss room. This way you skip the biggest pack of mobs, which are nearly impossible to solo in my experience. Then you wait until the patrol arrives and kill him. Then aggro 1 of the mobs in the room. There's a total of 4 mobs in there and you want to pull them in 1 at a time. At full health I was able to kill 2 at a time. Kill the mobs in the room 1 by 1, heal in between. Then you have the Captain all alone and he shouldn't prove much of an issue.

As a rogue at level 11 this quest is incredibly difficult. You cant even 1v1 a single of the rotting ancestors because their Rancid Blood attack is like they have a mini windfury that hits you with almost every swing (and thats even playing as an undead with added shadow resist). You will likely need either a second player or a bunch of buffs or consumables to actually do this fight.

Doing a run on wow hc, and I have come to know this as the Forsaken Filter. At the mouth of the Agamand Family Crypt are often several corpses of adventurers who underestimated this quest, just like most did back in vanilla. If you can, party up, even at the appropriate level, the mobs deal decent damage, and respawn quickly, are often so close they can pull other mobs of up to 4, to include the "boss" at the bottom. If running solo, consider bringing plenty of bandages, an alchemist to the south of Brill sells potions, cooking food that gives buffs, and don't be afraid to clear out mobs that aren't along the path just in case. Even on my priest it was a bit tense, a wand becomes invaluable. Even as I hearth'd out, the boss and a mob respawned in the room.

The Agamand Mills area has become a foothold for the Scourge. Their strongest point is the Agamand Family Crypt where their local military leader, a skeleton named Captain Dargol, has headquartered. With Necromancy he has raised the ancestors of the Agamands and plans to use them against us.

This cannot pass, and you must stop it. Travel to the Agamand Family Crypt and defeat the raised Agamand ancestors.

And, bring me the skull of Captain Dargol.
