first you have to complete Cleansing Felwood, given by Arathandris Silversky, she's at map coors 54,86, just south of the Emerald Sanctuary, just off the road to the east. she also gives Salve via Hunting.

I guess the Horde equivalent would be Maybess Riverbreeze, a Tauren located at 46,83.

I'm going to post this on all the Alliance versions of these quests as I have not found anyone commenting on more details about each.

From my in-game experience and online research (checking both WoWPedia and WoWWiki), there is a limit to which of these quests each character will have available to them, based on the professions of said characters. Everyone will have the quests available while the other four will be determined from the aforementioned professions:

Only herbalists will have available
Only miners will have available
Only skinners will have available
It appears only enchanters will have available to them (as the needed item is not BoP unlike the above three, I bought two on the AH and attempted to see if I could do the quest: it was not available to me even after a restart to further check)

Note that there are two versions of these quests for each faction: the first will give experience along with the salve and is a one time thing (like standard quests) while the second becomes available after and does not give experience, only the salve and is repeatable.

A Cenarion beacon will allow a well-trained skinner to spot patches of tainted skin from bounty gathered in Felwood. I convert these seemingly useless patches into a thick paste that serves as a quickening agent for Cenarion plant salve. When you skin your kills here in Felwood, be sure to have a beacon on you!

When you collect tainted patches, bring them to me and I will give you some Cenarion plant salves that I have already made.
