The only spawns I've run into are

1) Spawns when all the Relic Coffers are opened;
2) A spawn in a different area (the hallway towards the patrolling named and a bunch of golems) of a few non-named and one named when the portrait is opened.

Just turned it in. Alliance human warlock - if you open the portrait a handful of elitese are spawned.

You need 12 keys (11 regular coffer keys and the 1 main one).

the portrait doesn't spawn any mobs.

the name on the portrait tells you who to kill to get the dark coffer key. In my case this was 'Ugger' who was around the corner to the north (in the entrance to the slope that leads to Incendius below).

there is no chain attachment to this priticular quest... but there is others you can get from Flame Creast ..cords.. 65.23 happy hunting

I was in there the other day and open the potrait and mobs spawned on me. There was about 4 elite guards that came out.

About the keys you need 12 of them and after you open all the locks the stone guards or whatever they are called comes to life.

this isnt too hard to 5 man. we had a group of 3 x 60s a 59 pally and me the 56 warr.

we opened the 12 cases and the 4 golems came to life and the named dwarf appeared, and slaughtered the guy who opened the lockers.

we rezzd him, and pulled the dwarf alone, if u get just close enough he wont agro the 4 x lvl 54-55 elite golems behind him, so u can take him out, and then just take the golems with some kiting.

I, a 54 priest at the time, along with a 54 rogue a 55 warlock and a druid in bear form and another druid in moonkin form. It wasn't easy by any means but you just keep everyone healed and the DPS of the group up, like any other fight and

To show you how to do it. Although this quest itself isn't particularly useful, it's key later on in the game. People may have noticed that once you open the large vault, a smaller one inside is still locked. When you open the portait outside the room, it will spawn a named mob that drops a key to said smaller locked vault. Ocassionally the NM will spawn on top of the portait, so opening the portait before you clear the vault room can be very disasterous. Generally he spawns on the other side of the dungeon by Angerforge. Inside the smaller vault will be one of three items that is needed for the Libram quests. I this quest repeatable or can you get only one heart of the mountain and so discover the secrets of only one libram?

Guys i can t follow.

Who drop the Heart of the Mountain?
I don t need the rest of commands.
Is it the Banker ( the guy with all the chest )
or the portrait guy?
and where they are?
crazyt quest near to nobody has done it like Lost Thunderbrew recipe !

We did this with s 57 warrior 60 shamsham 50 hunter 52 rogue and a 57 mage and the warrior was dead its so easy But maker sure u have the coffer key or your screwed =P @@

Where in BRD is the heart of the mountian ive asked everybody but nobody knows plz tell i dont have cordnites so just tell me were in BRD thx!

1. Gotta go into the "Vault" (1 floor higher and directly East of Lord Incideous) and make sure you have looted a BUNCH of coffer keys

2. Open all the doors in the room, and when u open last one....b4 u lot chest the statutes (Golems) come alive (4 total and 1 Dwarf)

3. Kill everything and then "Heart" is colorful thing on ledge under small (center of back wall) door

Can you just sell it and not turn it in? I don't see much of a point here otherwise because it only pays 85 silver to turn in the quest.

The quest reward isnt what's really important. When you down the boss and open the main coffer door, there's also a chest that has a nice blue item. Worth the twelve relic coffer keys you dump into the event, imo.

Also, you do need 12 relic coffer keys, and the last one drops off the guy that comes when you open the twelve doors. Be careful, it's pretty tough.

Okay 65,23 is not right...That is in the mountains...There is no path to 65,23...Anyone have real coords to turn it in?

Because of BC I had to skip a lot of old instance q's and some I manage to solo like this one.

Lv 70 destro lock. Don't think it was easy, caused me 1 wipe and I had to grind all of the keys again.

So if you still have this q after all of this BC questing and leveling and you better solo this q rather than going with an aggro < lv 70 party. Make sure to have all 12 keys first.

I recommend to read http://www.wowwiki.com/How_to_solo_Attunement up till Lord Incendius. Instead of jumping in the lava, just hug the rim of the place where Lord Incendius is making his pat circles and try not to aggro him. As a lv 70 you will not gain aggro through the next door with the 2 fire elementals.
You will step into the area where a lot of elementals are wandering + Fineous Darkvire.
Use an invisibility potion and run all the way up as close to the edge of the path as possible. When the potion is over you will be upstairs and face the plateau with a few mobs and a wandering fire elemental. Try to skip those and enter the first room to your left which is the hall to The Vault. You can enter it without pulling any aggro. There I summoned my voidwalker. You can clean this room easily as long as you're able to control any runners. They can pull more groups of mobs and that can be devastating.

When this room is cleared I made a soulstone, I guess if you're not a warlock try to get one on you before you do this run. In total the q should not take longer than 20 minutes, but you mustn't fail. Anyway, now you can start killing the boss in the next room and his dog in addition. This is very easy at lv 70.
Now after that you need to open 12 doors, have your pet pull all of the aggro and run to the 1st hall again. Try to kill 2 or 3 mobs including the boss. There is a good chance after al of this you're dead as well and at least 2 elementals are still standing, but they run back in the second room as soon as you die and you can ss and buff up again. Kill the remaining elementals and loot the Heart of the Mountain.

65,23 are the rite coords. if u go to it theres a horde flight path rite there, walk up the bridge the goblin is the one u return it. its up north past the ruins of thaurissan.

you don't need to open that last coffer - the Dark Coffer? - to get The Heart of the Mountain. once you open the other eleven coffers and you kill the Golems that show up (and the Dwarf, Watchman Doomgrip?) a chest opens below the last coffer. The Heart of the Mountain is looted from this chest.

You need to have 12 chest vault keys to do it, need to open it all, then Watchman Doomgrip shows, you kill him he drop the last key and set to go.

So here is what I see happening... you open all 12 coffers, the watchmen and several of his guards come in, and the golems stomp you... party wipes then you restart. So what is a good strat for this?

After you kill Watchman Doomgrip in the Black Vault, the The Heart of the Mountain spawns in the back of the vault.
The Heart of the Mountain is picked up & turned in to Maxwort Uberglint.

It's been 14 years and I still remembered that if you zoom in the camera on the coffer you can loot the Heart though the wall without having to open the coffers xD Classic's like riding a bike

For years I have sought a certain gem. It is called the Heart of the Mountain and it's the size of your fist! The Dark Iron dwarves have it locked in their vault and, try as I may, they won't let me purchase it.

So I must resort to force.

Fight your way to the Lower Vault of Blackrock Depths, breach its secret safe and gain the Heart. To do that, you must defeat Watchman Doomgrip, and he won't appear until you've opened every relic coffer in the vault!
