Does anyone know how to get this quest? Do you have to have your Cooking to a certain level? I have this on one toon, but I can't get it on the other.

if you go a little bit more north, to about 29,20 and hit up the Lv. 11 Forest Lurkers, the drop rate is a lot better.

I had no problem finding anything execpt the boar intestince. Finished this quest in like 30 mins. I found out if you kill the monsters outside the borders of thelsamar the drop rates a bit better. And o yea no problem finding icor killed 5 spiders and got 3 lol mabye im just lucky.

Found plenty of spiders and bears here. Found a small amount of boars and larger amount of spiders there.

spider ichor drops like crazy...
bears were the problem for me...and by problem i mean lowest drop...but still less then 20 kills...

I just completed the quest and she talked to me, level 12 NE Hunter / just friendly with the dwarves and cooking is only 24..

Quick and easy. All the animals are at Thelsamar.

Bears to the South
Spiders to the West
Boars to the North

Took 15 min.

Lvl 40/41 Alliance NE druid/Dwarf warlock, both 67 in cooking..neither of us could get this quest & I don't see any prerequisites. Ended up buying the recipe in Stormwind, only to use up the ingredients I got to use for the quest.

Perhaps they dropped the quest because the drop rates on the critters themselves in Loch Modan were pretty slim.

Lesson learned: see if the quest giver will talk to you first before spending time fulfilling the requirements in advance.

I found the boar intestines very hard to gather, I killed about 20 boars now and no intestines yet. They're very easy to get in lakeshire though.

Very easily gotten in Westfall. Got three in a few kills, just south of Sentinel Hill, along the path.

Found the boar intestines easily behind Thesalamar S and W headed to Loch.

For what it's worth, after killing 20 or so lower level boars on the western side, I found crossing the loch and killing the elder mountain boars (Lvl 16-17) a good option.

Takes a little extra time but I got all three intestines in under 10 kills. Also remember to save them if you've come from killing boars in Westfall (unlike me).

accept quest /way 34,78, 49,16
go around 33,90, 28,77
kill Elder Mountain Boar for drop 3x Boar Intestines (37% drop rate), kill Elder Black Bear for drop 3x Bear Meat (42% drop rate), kill Forest Lurker for drop 3x Spider Ichor (35% drop rate)
return quest /way 34,78, 49,16

First I killed bears, spiders, and boars near Thelsamar. The drop rate was terrible. Killed 30, no drops. But up north, near the north guard tower and silver stream mine I got a great drop rate, maybe 50%.

Most (not all) Cooking recipes on the Alliance side are sold by Kendor Kabonka. The Horde do not have a corresponding NPC, so if you are an Alliance character wanting to create an alt on the opposite side to obtain the recipes for your main, unfortunately you'll have to have a level appropriate character to do the quests to obtain some of these recipes.

All of the recipes except one (Plans: Orcish War Leggings) can be traded cross-faction on the neutral AH.

There's never a shortage of empty bellies here in Thelsamar, kids running in and out, workers from the excavation coming in after a hard day's work. We're famous for our blood sausages, I don't suppose you've ever tried them?

No? Well, around here you've got to work for your meals, and don't think just because you're a fancy <class>, you'll be any exception.

I'll need bear meat, boar intestines for the casings, and spider ichor for spice. You get me some of those, and leave the cooking to Vidra!
