Yes don't let the level of this mob scare you. I was a level 53 warrior and got him quick. He is about as hard to kill as one of the level 50 to 51 tar guys just below the flight point. At level 53 I my plate armor was at 43%. He only hit me for 40 to 46 damage each time.

49 combat rogue. Had to use several cooldowns, but this was easily solo'able.

He is located at the Eastern Crystal Pylon. I got him down on my holy priest lvl 51. It took me 7 minutes to kill him, just wanding casting renew and sometimes a flash heal. There's plenty of space to spamfear.. yay!

This is a very easy quest!

When I saw it was a lvl 56 quest, I thought: Let's wait... but then I saw all the comments...

Did it as a lvl 51 mage, full frost specc... finnished it in about 20 secunds without taking dmg...

Water element - Ice Barrier - frostbolt - frostbolt - frostbolt + fire blast - cone of cold - frost nova - frostbolt + fire blast ... and then he was dead :)

I got a frost bite on my second frost bolt ...

Did anyone else have trouble summoning him? I've gotten the bait and placed it 3 times and the raptor hasn't spawned.

The coords 79, 49 are correct. (79.9 x 49.9 to be exact) You will see a small black rock east of The Eastern Pylon
(view screenshot #2 for rock location)
First right click on the Torwa's Pouch that is provided.
You will receive 2 items: Preserved Threshadon Meat & Preserved Pheromone Mixture
Stand on top of the black rock in screenshot 2 and right click on the Meat (This will place it on the rock)
Then right click on the Mixture, this will cause Lar'korwi to spawn by The Eastern Pylon and charge at you.
This quest may say: Requires level 48 but he resisted most of my spells at level 48 so 1 or 2 more levels will be needed to solo.
(If your going to post what level you killed the mob, you should add some info about the quest to help others or don't post at all)

The spot that Lar'Korwi was last seen is about at the 3 0' clock position on the map on the eastern side.

Open the (right click) pouch and get out the meat and scent potion. There is a flat rock you put the meat on. Right click the meat in front of it. Then add the scent potion by right clicking the potion.

Lar'Korwi comes running up the trail immediately from the crater. He's level 56. Hunters can lay a trap before putting out the bait if they want. Its what I did to help control the situation although I didnt need to since I did this at level 55. My cat tanked him just fine.

I had the audacity to try a red quest at level 49 - and simply couldn't beat him due to resists. So I ran. Now, at lvl 52, I wish to retry it, and I can't - because I can't get the pouch again.

Have tried cancelling and re-accepting quest. I think it may be bugged?

If you need to redo the quest cause you died, just abandon the quest and reaccept it. He will give you a need pouch with both meat and the glands in it.

exact coordinate is 79,49 it is a flat small rock about the size of a human between the eastern crystal and a big carcass.
the target is fairly easy to kill

I had a harder time finding the rock to place the food. There was no cog to indicate that I had found the place.

It is right behind the Eastern Pylon about 50 yards back. Looks like a normal everyday stone. Nothing special about it at all. Place the meat and pheremone sent and turn around, Lar'Korwi comes from the crater direction.

Might seem obvious to others but it had me foxed for 5 mins. You need to stand on the rock and then right click first on the meat and then on the scent...

If you somehow manage to lose/ destroy the meat, just abandon quest and re take it, the quest giver will give you a new bag with meat n perfume

The stone is at 80.50
There is many bones there.
It is the grey stone, the stone is not big.
He hits fast but not hard, lev 56, not to much more hp then any other raptor in Un'goro.

For ppl without loc, it is right east of the big mountain in the middle of Un'goro crater. It is not far up into the mountain side so it is easy to find.

For those who dont know what east is:
It is to the right side of the great mountain in the middle of Un'Goro.

For the rolleplayers that use thottbot:
Have the sun in you back while you move north. When you have the mountain on you shiled arm side. Walk the way of you sword arm side. Face the dawn while you climb the path up the mountain.

Location is exactly in same place as The Eastern Pylon (77,50). Go up the trail and behind the pylon, you will see a bunch of HUGE dino bones, etc. In middle of bones, there is a rock on the ground. Right click on the meat to place it on the rock. Then, right click on the spices to rub on the meat. If you're a rogue, you'll have a couple seconds to stealth and walk to the side so you can ambush Lar'Korwi as he walks up (from the direction of the pylon). I did this solo as a 52 rogue, very easy.

Easily explained:

On the EAST side of Un Goro there is a pylon. 77.49

Just EAST of the pylon there is a way leading further into the mountain. Go that way. Until you reach a black flat rock on your right side.(79.49)

Just left of that rock there is a bunch of bones (with some kinda leather attached to it, with some red / black drawings).

In your backpack you will find a package which the questgiver gave you. It's named Torwa's pouch. Open it and loot the two items.
If you don't have the pouch for some reason, disband the quest and return to the questgiver and get the quest again.

On the stone you use your PRESERVED THRESADON MEAT.

On the bunch of bones you use your PRESERVED PHEROMONE MIXTURE.

Right after you have done this a lvl 56 raptor (non elite) will run towards you from the way you approached. (from west)
The raptor is easy to kill. After you've killed it, loot the head (named: Lar'Korwi's Head.) Then return to the quest giver. (Torwa Pathfinder, 71.76)

I attempted this quest as a 53 shadow priest, had no trouble killing him using my shield. He was 56.

Placed the meat at 80, 49 and took him down like any other regular mob pretty much.

Finished at full health and just shy of half mana.

Level 52 Affliction/Demonology Warlock.

I have tried 6 times solo now as a lvl 50 hunter. My pet will not hold aggro even if I dont shoot him and shadowmeld. I will try a couple different tatics today and I will post again.

I soloed him at 50 (barely) but when he died the body poofed immediately and no head. I put in a ticket but all I got back was-- Delete the quest and try to getit again.

I think I'll wait till 51 to try again in case level had something to do with it.

At 51 I completed this fine. My advice is not to attempt it before then even though you can get the quest.

Solo'd easy, he was 56 for me.

I set Fire Trap, put pet (Bangledesh-L54) on Stay / Hide, then set the DS I got from Power Crystal Quests on me. As he ran up from main crater (not the mountains) I hit with Serpent Sting and set pet to him. Pet kept aggro while I plugged away with gun. Mob got down to 25% health and aggro'd me. He got tore up by DS and DoT's. Fight over in about 45 sec (apx).

My pet, King Bangladesh, solo'd him by himself - lol. Reminded me of Rocky v Clubber Lang. It was close - but Rocky had a better chin. Awesome. Picked up 7300xp as a Lev 54 Hunter.

The area you need to go is where the eastern pylon area. Or when you end up when your a ghost. i did it as a 51 rogue pretty easily.

Dunno about you guys, but as a lvl 52 warrior, I almost died, and he had 70% hp left... miss miss miss dodge normalhit miss miss miss...
and I have 260/260 in 2H axes (I use a Lord Alexander's Battle Axe)

Solo'd as lvl 51 Feral Druid. Used Dire Bear and Maul. Imp Lotp kept my hp at a relativly good level and shifted out and used warstomp then healed to full before going back into bear and killing.

Mob is lvl 56.

the below coords are right, it's a little rock kind of in the middle of the clearing really easy to miss. 7,300 exp for his head turn in at 53. Spawns a 56 beast.

Solod at 50 as a Demo lock. Took 2 Felguards, first tanked him for a long time, but eventually I had pull a Fel Dom'd one out and a healing potion. Resisted pretty much everything, but I did manage to keep a CoA up, and a couple of Immolates. If you're going to take him at this level, you might consider just doing CoA and Health Funneling your Felguard to save a Shard.

Apparently he's not that tuff. I was having major lag problems (like 3000 ms on lat meter). I died and rezzed at GY. After getting back to full health and all, I decided WTF. Summoned him and sent my pet in, clicked on Hunters Mark and then Serpent sting. Lag happened again. When I came back he was dead.

absolute easiest quest ever. lvl 54 hunter. both myself and pet had 90% health when he died. felt like an idiot for asking for help prior to starting the quest. expected something difficult, but the last portion was the easiest of the whole chain.

Hey, just here to affirm that a 53 Drood could easily do this in less than 3 minutes. Em, I laid the trap, waited till he jumped on me, nature grasp'd he entangled, i rejuved, cast innerv, faerie, insect, moonfire, bark then starfire until he died. didnt even need to heal once. not so bad!

Wayyyyyyyy easy exp. 54 Shadow/Disc priest, in Shadowform and with Vampric Embrace, I finished with about 40% mana and 100% health. He didn't even break my PW:S until he was at about 10% health.

The rock where you summon Lar'korwi is in the mountains on the eastern edge of the Crator. Look for a path into the mountains where the crystal pylon is and the huge ribs sticking up. Go up the path to the top and there is a grey flat on the ground rock in front of the other bones. 76,48 are the coords of the beginning of the path. 79,49 are the coords of the rock. Good luck

The quest was labeled red to me, so i was afraid to try it, but no, everyone is quite right, very easy. level 51 hunter and it was no problem. found the stone at 80 49

Somehow I ended up with duplicate quest items from deleting the quest then picking it up again.
I had the bag (with the 2 items in it), pluse the 2 items I had taken out of the bag from when I had the quest previously.

Needless to say, when I killed him the head did not drop. I deleted all the items I had and picked up the quest again. Then the head dropped.

Super easy fight, only a lvl 56 beast, def solo, the flat rock is at 79, 49 and it is a little rock that is like a different color, open the bag, then use both items near it and he will come, kill him loot head and ez 7300xp! =D

Just solo'd as 54 hunter with 54 pet.

No troubles at all... very easy.

Go to 80,50 and place the meat on the flat rock you can see, its grey.. flat... and its in the ground.. go figure ;)
Then use the mixture and he should coming running towards you if you're facing back the way you came. Bish bash bosh. Done.

Solo'd as a 51 lvl warlock.

Sent VW at him, CoS, corruption, immolate, CoA. The VW still held aggro. Started to nuke with bolts, renewed DoTs. He resisted only one bolt and one DoT. Haven't used any potions, deathcoil nor healthstones. I didn't even need to fear him. Ended up with 75% HP, near 0 mana and 360+7300 XP.

Piece of cake.

Soloed Level 50 Mage, frost spec. He spawned at level 55. Popped a Greater Stoneshield potion prior to calling him. Used one mana gem right at the end of the fight to replenish mana, but probably could have finished the fight without it. Didn't even come close to dying. This is the easiest 7300 exp for any single quest I've done yet.

...if you are prepared.

Went to the mountain location. Before placing the meat and treating it, I ate a "well fed" ration to boost strength and stamina, then loaded up both daggers with nature damage poison.

Activated the bait, turned around to face the entrance to the location, and immediately Lar'korwi was there. Hit him with a Cheap Shot, then Backstab, then chopped him up. Didn't even have to use Evasion. Took less than 30 seconds!

Take the Meat and the vial with you to 80,49 just past the Eastern Crystal Pylon (Pillar with a blue crystal ontop of it) and through the bones that are east of it to the flat stone.
Buff yourself up and get ready.
Use the meat and then use the vial and he will come running from the Pylon towards you.

Took him as a lvl 54 Prot pally with only about 300 health lost.

This mob is a joke, very weak for L56. Soloed as a BM Hunter 49 shortly after levelling up, my carrion bird pet was still L48. Didn't even have to do anything special, just shot at it until it died lol.

I have been doing all the quests I can in this area and even at lvl 59 I still got 7300 exp for turn in of this .. one of the easiest quests for exp ratios yet.

Does not seem doable for a level 50 warlock. The beast has ~3700 hp and insane resistances. Even after CoS, half of my shadow bolts are resisted entirely, the other half deal 100-200 damage. Once he was on me, he resisted fear 4 times in a row.

Easy XP points for this quest.
Located behind the EAST pylon. Look for a fairly small, flat rock and use both items in the pouch.
The raptor is really easy to kill. I am a 52 paladin and had no trouble at all, didnt even take off more than 1/3 of my health.

Soloed at 53, piece of cake, good exp, close to the quest giver, and the reward sold for decent amount. The rewards were good but not better then what it had, but easy quest worth doing.

Guys, I've done this quest like 4-5 times now each time at 50ish. Honestly no one cares. When they look up here they just want to know cords and helpful information.

79.49 - Simply place the meet on the rock, and the pharemone near the same place and he'll summon.

Half way through swapped from 'DPS mode' to 'tank mode' - BoW, JoW, SoW, then slowly chip away while regenning mana like crazy.

I'd hate to be a caster doing it at that level, the resistances would be insane (and no plate)

enter the mountain at coords 76, 48 and the spot is 79, 49, fun directly north from the quest giver along the stream. youll come to the petal plants things. look to your right, for the unmarked path to the mountain. First open pouch, the items will be placed in your backpack... then right click on meat close to the rock
then click on preserved mix. Once applied he approaches from up the mountain so be prepared. My VW did not hold aggro very long. But it was still simple, he was a lvl 56 non-elite beast. I finished with 300hp left. But i was ok... as lvl 52 Lock, 7300xp no rep...

Did this solo with a 54 warrior and was still at 3/4 health. Would have thought it would be more than a 56 non-elite. Kind of a poor end to this quest line. Good quick xp's though - and quest line takes about 15 mins solo.

hmm i can see them making this guy harder or something. lvl57 rogue. Evasion on. Took 300 damage before he died. nice quest and story though and ok loot if you haven't already got part of your rogue kit or anything.

Sorry guys maybe you did kill him at 49 and 52. I did at 58 and faced a lvl 58 mob at the end. Maybe the spawn was a lower lvl than that but if you faced what I face you'd wipe. The fact is if he is orange to you then you should have no probs with him. He's a solo mob no special attacks other than a rend and hamstring. In the end the xp is nice. Total for me was over 17k xp for 30 minutes of labor.

Completed this today on the second try as a 50 shadow priest.

Used an Elixir of Superior Defense, Crystal Spire (Damage Shield), and an Elixir of Shadow Power and Self Buffs. Hit Elune's Grace early in the fight, kept Power Word: Shield up pretty consistantly.

I started off with VE and Shadow Word Pain (resisted once), and then hit Mind Flay after each Shield, following with Mind Blast. Lots of resists throughout the fight, but less than my first attempt so I managed to pull it off.

It's right behind the East Pylon (also the Graveyard) so, failing isnt horrible considering you can run along the wall to get the quest again and back again easily.

I went to western pylon and laid down the meat. Then click on the mixture to lay on meat and wallaa he comes out. Did this as a 51 rogue and had to use one healing pot. Lar'korwi is a lvl 56 beast with some 3500 hp. I also got 7300xp for the quest.

Very, very easy. 53 Druid, used bear form, never had to heal, never got low on health.

Received 7300 experience for it.

i never saw this questline untill level 60,
well the entire quest line took about 30min
and the kill it self, i did in about 10 seconds ;)

Did this tonight as lvl 50 mage with a summoned cindr elemental guardian (lvl 58) - took him down fairly easily - lvl 56. Nice XP for this chain!

If you wait too long to add the mixture, the meat on the rock will despawn and you will have to abandon and retake the quest.

Curiously this seems to have been moved - the rock is at 70,41. No where near the pylon now (v9 pre shadowlands patch)

Today he was back at the usual place - the Skull & Bones Club; entrance at about 77 51. He stopped short of the rock and failed to step on the carefully-placed Immolation Trap I had left as a welcome mat and I had to put a few arrows into him to wake him up. First time I've ever seen that. The rest was pretty routine. You can't skin him but he gave me 720 XP at level 51 and then Torwa gave me 7300 XP for completing the quest. Not bad at all.

It's where the quest marker tells you it is. Not in the mountains anymore.

Using the contents of Torwa's Pouch, summon Lar'korwi and defeat him. Then bring Lar'korwi's Head to Torwa Pathfinder near the entrance to Un'Goro Crater.

This will be the most difficult part because there is some complexity to the plan. To the north of here, you will find a small trail into the mountains. It was here I saw Lar'korwi last. You will know you are in the right area because of all the bones from massive creatures that once wandered nearby. Take the meat you recovered and place it there. Then, rub this mixture I created on the meat. If both lures mingled together do not bring Lar'korwi to you, then I know nothing else that will.
