The hive is located in the south central region of Un'Goro. There's only one entrance, which is clearly visible on the map. When you enter the cave, just keep right, with the exception of a few little niches that are obviously not the correct route. You'll wind up at a small room that contains the crystal mentioned in the quest text.

When you use the lure, you'll face three waves of enemies: 2 guards, then 3 guards, then 2 guards and queen. If you lure them out into the hallway, you can rest between waves. Good luck!

By the way, the Alien Ecology quest (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=3883) can be completed in the same room.

I did it all fine and then at the final wave everything respawned and i had 6 mobs on me. Ooh and what do you know, the lure was consumed. Stay away from this quest until it's green...

Soloable with a 52 feral druid. First wave was no problem, killed both mobs in cat form. The trick seems to be leaving the last mob alive for just long enough for you to pop out, regrowth/rejuv and finish the mob.

Second wave included 3 mobs, and I switched to bear form. Used frenzied regeneration just before the first of 3 mobs went down. When I had the last mob at ~50%, the normal mobs in the room respawned. I ignored the last mob of this second wave while dealing with the respawns. After they were dead, I quickly regrowth/rejuved myself and finished the last mob of wave 2.

The last wave is 3 mobs, including the level 56 non-elite queen. Her level caught me a bit off guard, so I just concentrated on getting her down with no expectation of surviving her guards. By this time my frenzied regeneration was up again, so I used that first. With the queen at 50%, I attempted to bash (resisted), then popped a major healing potion, barkskin+regrowth/rejuv, and settled in to try and kill her. She finally died when I was at around 15% health. Quickly looted and died courtesy of her two guards.

Other thoughts: For melee, the hive guards and other Gorishi bugs have the Tunneler Acid debuff. It's a nasty Sunder Armor like debuff. I eventually had it stacked on me 5 times during the last wave, which took my 5k dire bear form armor down to under 3k. It cannot be dispelled.

I made it as 54 retribution pala. Just run into hallway and resting between waves. When there was time for a queen, mobs respawned, when i tryed to pull only one then queen with guards and all mobs there came to me. I focus just on queen, had to use Lay of Hands and Divine Shield + healing, but i made it, i killed queen, rest of mobs killed me. Then just ran there as a ghost and picked up her brain. Hard quest even when is green i guess.

I did it as a level 52 Shaman, not really good gear, but had to use my reincarnation in the second wave already because of bad luck with misses and no windfuries etc. I did kill the queen after that though and looted it aswell, for all you shamans out there: put down grace of air totem,searing totem and healing stream totem and when the guards are fighting you, put down a stoneclaw totem. I really recommend stoneclaw totem at the queen, so u can fully burst her with all your mana. If u have warstomp/blood fury just use it. Healing won't be needed if u just want to kill queen. Even if u want to heal, u can't heal since 3 guards and probably some adds from respawns are attacking you.

At 58, I was like sure I try this out. As a mage, crowd control is a easy enough and is partly what your made for. Got there, cleared to the crystal room, got the walls sample from the related quest. Started in on the first 2 guards without much trouble. {rant on - Second group of three, and behold, re-pops both in the room and behind me, after only about 2 mins total. I was like wtf is this and ended up dying. Five mobs was just to many to handle like that. Ran back to my body from that insane time-sink of a Un'goro graveyard. Thankfully the guards were still up, but the room had re-popped fully so it was just one long aggro train. I ran out of the cave and just dropped the quest. Im usually very good about pulls, pats and adds in the area if its a special circumstance but this was ridiculous. {rant off
So yeah, watch your back.

Pull them out into the hallway before the room and then you can rest in between waves. The monsters spawn in the room only.

1st wave: 2 54 nest guardians
2nd wave: 3 54 nest guardians
3rd wave: 2 54 nest guardians + 56 queen

Can do it solo as long as you can take out 3 54's at a time. I would recommend doing it at 55+ unless you are grouped. I did it solo as a rogue and it was pretty easy didnt even have a healing potion on me.

If you fail, you no longer have a lure to try again. You have to go all the way back to gadget, abandon the quest, and start again (or try to find someone else with a lure and team up with them).

Sorry if someone explained this earlier but I got lost in all the class crap so I figured I'd repost.

Solo'd this as a Lvl 53 Priest (Shadow Spec).

Here's how:
Pour the salve on the crystal and begin running back down the corridor you came from. About midway down the corridor, turn and fight the two that spawn.

After you kill them, rest up. The other bugs won't come after you until you enter the room and aggro them as normal.

Now take on the three that spawn (again, in the corridor). It will be easier this time to pull them into the corridor and fight. As a Priest, I immediately Psychic Screamed and went ape crazy on the Mind Blast. Don't spare mana here.

After doing the three. Rest again. I went all out on the Queen with full strength, as she's a level 55-56. I killed her and died shortly after looting her brain.

All in all, relatively easy quest. To the level 58 Priest who couldn't do this solo... you must be a craptastic priest.

But with problems. Here is what I did.

Went to 50 78 (Hive entrance) and turned right. Stay to the right. You can prowl the entire way.

Gorishi Silithid Crystal is in a cavern to the right. It is a pointy rock pillar looking thing. Cleared the tunnel to the cavern then the cavern itself.

Used Gorishi Queen lure on Crystal and ran up the tunnel (Thanks for the good idea). It spawned 2 53 level guards which I killed in bear form then rested.

It then spawned 8 more (#$%^&!) one of which was the queen. All between 53 and 56 (Queen). Two of those may have been respawn from earlier room clean as they were not guards.

Pulled those two from the tunnel (One at a time) and killed them then rested. This left 5 guards and the queen.

Tried pulling one guard but they all came and slaughtered me.

Floated from graveyard back and rezed in tunnel. Healed and rested.

Popped a greater Stoneshield potion and hit the queen with spells (Starfire, wraith and Moonbeams). Switched to bear form. All of them came into the tunnel. Killed the queen but was slaughtered by her 5 guards. Did not need the Stoneshield as could of killed the queen without it.

Floated back from graveyard and rezed. Looted her body (In the tunnel). Waved to her guards back in the room and left. Quest done.

In retrospect it might have been a good idea to also pop a nature protection potion to stop the Acid damage but do not remember if Acid damage is considered Nature damage or not.

You just need to be careful to pull things a couple at a time. It is entirely possible, and if the bugs from the room respawn then you can pull them out without the queen interfering usually. Cleared the room 1 at a time, then 2 guards at once, then 3 guards, then had to clear the respawns 1 at a time, then a guard and a queen at the same time. Easy. In fact, even came out of the last battle with 100% mana and health, since my last attack triggered omen of clarity so I got a free heal out of it ;-) The hardest part was the 3 guards at once, did cat to kill one, then shift + warstomp + regrowth + rejuv, shift to bear, demoralize, buildup rage, frenzied regen, maul to death, came out with ~40% hp.

Level 57. I just went in, cleared the room, and summoned. And yes, I didn't leave the room, just fought at the left side of the room.

Got two guards, then three (I think).. maybe a round more and then the queen appeared with two others, pulled the queen and one guard, just melee (not sure how, it was raher hectic). In all I got one respawn on me, I think. Since it was hectic, im not sure. Just that bear form made it doable.

Anyway, bear form is the winning here. No need for potions and all. Just bear, heal, bear.

For those who may have been confused, it is inside the Scar at the end of the northwest tunnel. Dont bother going inside the "butterfly" shaped room.

Well worth it for all the exp, IMO. I got lucky, a lv 60 pally was playing around in the caves when I got there, so he helped. Could have soloed at 54, though.

Beware of the 30 minute disease that increases your damage taken by a whopping 46% - that can make or break the run if you can't dispel it. Luckily when I was soloing it, the last mob cast it on me instead of the first mob. Still, it's a massive debuff that can bring you down in a hurry.

If you do get beaten by queen and minions you need to abandon the quest and talk to the Alchemist in Gadgetzan to get a new lure to try again. It's destroyed when you open the crystal.

If u go in the entrance at 49,81 u just look for top left chamber ... at 44,81 in that room is the crystal. Bring your buddy with ... 2, 3 and 3 spowns where the last one is with her. lvl 52 druid i die in 2nd wave.

i killed 2 guards and more came ffs
2nd thing happens i vanish and take a rest
i kill the other 2...the Queen comes with 2 other adds ffs
next thing happens....i died ressed and came back to kill those #$%^&es
right when i wanna cheap shot the quest.....they disappear!

this quest pissed me off for a whole day....i removed it right away and never gonna do it again ffs!

i just finished dying trying to do this quest solo as lvl 57 pally.. the mobs come 2 X lvl54 then 3 x lvl54 (which i survived through) .. i guess i misread the one post and thought that after the 2 waves, the queen comes.. but she (lvl 56) came with 2 addons(lvl54) and thats when i died. i definately had no time to take a drink other than a mana potion.

I did this solo with my lvl 59 Paladin. first wave of 2x lvl 54 was a breeze. Next wave of 3x lvl 54's I went through using Divine shield. The next wave was the queen lvl 56 and three guards of lvl 54. Survived that too, despite the lvl 52 that respawned while I was still dealing with two off the guards. Although I won't recomend soloing it. Since there's plenty of chances for you to screw up and die. But if you play your crads smart you can do it.

First I had some trouble finding the crystal but when I found it I cleared the hallways out first. If you have the Alien ecology or something like that quest fill the vial first.

I had my void walker out and when the first wave hit (2 lvl 54's) my void held their attention while I Dot'ed then along with siphon life. when aggro came to me i feared the stacked more Dot's on them, retreated to the hallway while life tapping and bandaging myself so i could heal my voidwalker. Wave 2 hit (3 lvl 54's) and they attacked my voidwalker, I sacarficed him and summoned another one while in the hallway, still no mobs in the hallway. Sent Voidwalker in to gather aggro and the Dot'ed all three with the CoA, Siphon Life, Corruption and sat back and life tapped until aggro came to me then howl of terror. Sacraficed voidwalker again as I Dot'ed the last mob when one spawned in the room, Feared new mob and Dot'ed him also while draining life and life tapping.
3rd wave hit (queen lvl 57 i think and 2 lvl 55's), sent voidwalker after the queen and then Dot'ed them again while safely in the hallway. Had a mob that killed me but used soulstone and feared (howl of terror) and Stacked Dot's on the queen and the new mob while in the hallway. Drained life on hallway mob and summoned voidwalker to handle the queen and lvl 55's.
And I forgot to use my demon armor...lol

Also ate some tuber roots now and then.

Just completed solo with 53 Pally but it was close. Cleared the room then activated the crystal. Tried pulling guards singlely, but they mobbed me, so I killed one, bubbeled and ran down the hall until they lost aggro.

I returned again with full health & mana. Targeted queen from doorway, ran in room for one hit, ran back out, drawing queen and mob. Bubbled and ran, making sure to turn and hit queen just as the guards lost aggro. From there is was just holding out against her and an respawned stinger. Got the drop and hearthed out.

Made almosy half a level on this quest. w00t!

Ther was a hunter there when i arrived that already killed the first 2 waves and died after killing one guard of the third wave so i just had to kill the queen and one guard to get the brain :D Easy exp

Tried to solo as 53 mage, let's just say it wasn't the most pleasing result. I didn't bother with any tricks or pots second time around, just brought 2 54 guildies along and did it a-ok!

Don't under estimate this damn mob. 53 Hunter and 55 Mage could get to the last wave with queen but couldn't keep things controlled to kill her and stay alive. Bring some help.

She's indeed in the top left chamber. It was quite difficult to solo with my level 60 hunter. My pet died, but I just feigned, rezzed it and send it to kill the final wave.

They apply armor debuffs and a huge damage increase (on you) debuff.

This quest should really be labelled as (Elite)/(Group)/Don't Bother
Unless you have the previous knowledge that you have to move back to the entrance this is very difficult to complete alone, and certainly not worth the crappy green rewards.

Also, you don't really get a second chance at this quest without going all the way to Tanaris and back to get another vial to summon the queen. And that's after you've ran half way across Un'Goro to collect your body and fought your way back out of the tunnels. Really not worth if it you're just going to die again.

The glutton for punishment that I am, I went back and got my corpse, fought my way out of the tunnels, rode to Tanaris and back again, fought my way back to the Queens room and started again. I tried the 'stand at the room entrance and rest' tactic, but the original room guards respawned at the same time as the queen and they were all linked. No way to defeat the Queen + 2 guards + 2-3 Reavers. I even checked further up the passage and there were no other respawns, just the Reavers and Tunnelers inside the Queens room. Pathetic quest.

I spirit rezzed and went off to find a quest that's worth my time.

Soloed at 54 as a Feral Druid. Fairly easy.

1. Apply the Lure
2. Pull the first wave to the entrance and kill them. Heal and Drink
3. Pull the next wave with Fairy Fire in catform. You will pull all of them, so shapeshift early for healing, and finish them off in Bearform. Heal and drink.
4. If you spent time on this, there might be respawns. Try to pull the respawn alone, and kill him quickly. Don't heal, you shouldn't need it.
5. Pull the queen + adds. I was in catform, and used Mangle, and 5 points Rip. Shapeshifted, healed, bearform, and finished them all off. The five point Rip did most of the job for me.
6. Loot and get out.

When I had killed the queen + adds, I had 86% health left. Speed is essential, because you don't want too many respawn adds. They will take you down fast, I imagine.

Just did this as a 53 Frost Mage. No potions, no nothing, I found it pretty simple actually..

It's in the northwest room, you go in, you see a small room straight ahead, no that one, you see a huge room, not that one, it's the one furthest down the corridor. Clear the room. I summoned her and the second I did I blinked to the entrance of the room (if you are not a mage just face the entrance and the second you can run, do so).

Pull 1: I just spammed frostbolt'ed one of them and it died while the other came at me. When the other reached me, I frost nova'd, CoC'd, and spam frost bolted (all this in the corridor so I don't pull next group).

Pull 2: I summoned my Water Elemental for this. I ganked one while my WE froze the other two, they we ganked the other two with Water Bolts, Frost Bolts and CoC.

Pull 3: Pull the guard that isn't on top of the queen (lol) and the other guard (not the queen) should come too so I just repeated pull 1. For the queen, she was lv56 but there was nothing special about her.

P.S My gear was very good so don't feel discouraged if you find it difficult.

Oh, Gorishi Hive is in Southern Un'Goro is the Slithering Scar.

Just completed this as a 53 warrior with help from a 60 Druid.

3 waves. First, 2 level 54 Guardians. 2nd wave, 3 level 54 Guardians, 3rd wave was 2 54 Guards and the Queen, level 56.

Tried going through it with shield/1h and Hurricane, Druid ran out of mana and we wiped. 2nd time around, I went DW and she just healed, took about 15 minutes.

Definitely do not recommend doing this alone. Another thing you need to know, if you wipe, the item you use on the crystal will be gone form your inventory and you'll have to get another one.

lvl 54 Hunter, BM/MM spec, so this advice really only applies to us.

- I cleared room quickly.
- Made sure I ate/drank/buffed pet before I summoned.
- First wave; I took the brunt of one of guards while pet and range took care of the other. Made sure pet stayed alive, it's important.
- When first wave dies I quickly hug'd the wall directly right of the door (left if your coming in from the hall). If all goes well the second wave will not aggro you. I ate and drank, healed my pet.
- I tried and failed to pull the second wave bit-by-bit, so I fought all three at once. I took the brunt of two of the guards while pet tanked the third (Used a potion). I FD once the first died, pet tanked the last two to death. I ran out of mana healing pet and he just survived the seond wave with about 500 hp.
- I hugged the wall once again and regened, the queen and her guards won't aggro you if done correctly. Regen was cut short by respawns, but if your really lucky like I was, you can find a bit of range and take it out.
- Finally, I kamikazi my pet into the respawns, queen and guard. Just tossed everything I had, burned all the BM cooldowns on her, and dived for the loot. Got it and bolted out. I died, but finished it.

I'm a 54 Druid with excellent up-to-date tanking gear, I've soloed 6 simultaneous +1 mobs successfully, but I can't live through this even with Warstomp, Innervate, the works. I even had a Protection Scroll III & R.O.I.D.S going. It seems possible with lots of +hit +crit gear (but then, where's the Stam?) and lots of luck from the combat generator. Maybe even some Nature Resist (and luck).

The worst parts are the armor-reducing Acid (which stacks), the slowing Poison making every "MISS" a nail in your coffin, and the Silithid Pox, a 30-minute Disease which increases your Damage Taken by 41!

If you die in the chamber, you will probably not be able to rez on the surface. Then you must abandon the quest & go back to Gadgetzan again. I'm pretty stubborn about soloing quests like this (and nobody else in my guild is high enough yet), but I gave up after 2 tries. I'll come back in another level.

soloed as a 52 shaman, just stay back to avoid aggroing the 2nd and 3rd waves immediately and you can have a break between them and that way it can be done easiliy. use poison/disease cleansing totems and stoneclaw totem.

The waves appear from out of nowhere inside the room.
Speed was everything in this, including the ability to keep fighting. Went in as 58 level hunter without reading this page, and thought I had found a sweet spot a bit up on the wall, where I recovered and revived my pet after the first two waves. But the combination strong last wave and quick respawns brought me and my pet down.
Second time in I had less buffs, and should have failed by most logic. I fought the first two while retreating to the spot up a bit on the wall to the right of the door, then retreating out the door as they died. Managed to defeat the 2nd wave from just outside the door. I then did a quick mana drink pause. This was the only pause in the fighting. Did not even stop to loot the bodies. The third wave I managed to draw out, leaving only the queen. I then sent my pet against the queen, and entered the room. At this point the respawns started, right in front of me. Managed to move out of the way of two respawns, moving into close combat just to avoid them. But me and my pet did manage to bring the queen down.
The narrow space, the quick respawns and the lack of any sheltered places makes this a hard quest...at least for a hunter.
Ohh, and if you die, the quest fails, by lack of lure and lack of queen to kill. Just abandon and talk to Pestlezugg again.

Did this tonight with a 54 Rogue, with preparation. Trip the trap and kill the first two easy, use evasion to survive or a good potion. Vanish as soon as the 3 wave pops. Sit there and wait for about 15 minutes and kill any respawns in the hallways or on the other side of the room (they wont aggro the 3 guards). Eventually they despawn and the queen spawns. Attack the queen and use evasion again, it should be up. When it drops, pop preparation and evasion again with another health potion if needed, vanish when the queen dies, wait for the guards to despawn or kill them, and viola (or die after she dies, come back after to loot)

soloed this as a 54 frost mage, the quest takes u to ungroro, after applying the lure, run bak to the entrance, this makes it so after u kill the wave u dont agro the other spawns so u can rest, just keep running bak to entrance after every wave

This quest is a pain. Soloable by a level 54 rogue, though. Hide between waves, eat, let timers reset, then do the next wave. On the queen, just focus on her, when she dies quickloot her then vanish. Pretty difficult though.

Cleared the room. Bashed away at the spawns with SoW/JoW/BoW all on, just healing my way through it. Had Ret Aura up to wear them down a little, too.

Liberal usage of Divine Favour, whenever it was up.

THe only problem I had was, the Queen despawned while I cleared the re-spawns of the room's original inhabitants.

Otherwise, fight took about 10 minutes. Sticking to the 'right' of the room as I entered, I was able to pull the last 3 guard spawns, without the Queen.

And I killed them one by one, and didn't have the next wave spawn until I'd finished all of the previous wave.

From reading the posts I was under the impression that the crystal was in the large chamber of the cavern... that's not so. It's in the same room that you did the quest where you had to fill the vial with the sample from the hive. There's the long main tunnel, and then there's a small circular room and then the large circular room shaped; the crystal is in the SMALL room.

This part is important.

As someone recommended earlier, before you click your vial to summon the queen, make sure everyone else in the group is to the left closer to where you enter the room. This will allow you to fight off the guards on the 3rd wave without having to fight the queen at the same time. You'll be able to fight her solo if you do this right.

Did this playing 53 Warrior and 53 Priest at the same time.
I use 2 computers... my priest kept my warrior targeted while I maintained aggro on everything by using Whirlwind, Cleave and Dem Shout. I never left berserker stance and was able to stay alive without the priest getting aggro'd nor without her dropping below 75% mana.

When you enter the portion of undergrond tunnel that has the large crystal in it and you use the potion (lure) that your given move against the left wall and wait for creeps to spawn. For the first wave you will have two spawn and when one of them die there will come a second batch of two for you to kill so if you drop one to 5% then kill the other it will be much easier. If your against the left wall you will be able to take a break between killing the adds and killing the queen when it spawns.

If you're a warrior, dont even bother to solo this quest. before the queen spawns, 3 guards spawn and aggro you at the same time. No way a warrior can do this

After using the lure, you will have to face three waves of mobs:

Two Gorishi Hive Guards
Three Gorishi Hive Guards
Gorishi Hive Queen and two Gorishi Hive Guards

They spawn on the half of the room that is furthest from the entrance to the chamber, and they just remain there upon spawning. As far as I can tell, the second and third waves spawn as soon as the previous wave has been killed.

If you kill the last mob of a wave at the entrance of the chamber, you can easily eat/drink between waves. I had to face respawns between the second and third waves, so keep that in mind too.

As a 53 mage, I didn't have too much trouble by doing the above (although I did have to pop cooldowns for the last wave - an alternative is just focusing the queen so you can loot it and then just die).

as a druid, you could solo it. as others suggested, stand in the doorway. kill the 2, then rest. kill 3, rest. after that just pull the queen in cat, get get on rake+5p rip, then go bear, activate regen and autohit the queen. loot, barkskin, cat form, dash and run out

Not that I'm the best player, but one more vote here, from classic, for all the folks who said this was solo death 10 or 15 years ago. Went in with a 54 shadow priest, no problem handling 2 bugs at once. But in that final chamber, pulling one guard gets you 3, one of the diseases they inflict is to increase physical damage by something like 42% while 3 of them beat on you, and by the time I realized I was in trouble with one down, two to go - didn't have enough mana to shift out of shadowform to heal, and didn't have enough time to pop a health potion. So, another vote for "not worth the time", as I sit with res sickness and could be finishing the rest of Un'goro, or doing Felwood or Plaguelands, or be in BRD knocking off a bunch of quests. It's fine as a group quest, but if you look at the rewards and the travel for the next 2 quests - still not an efficient way to level. At least I had rested XP grinding on the bugs on the way in - the queen's chamber is basically all the way in.

Did it as 57 combat rogue, almost died at the end. Grenades and healing potion. Recommend standing at the entrance to the room as mentioned.

First wave I accidentally pulled an extra mob from the tunnel, used blade flurry + evasion (3 mobs).
Second wave - (3 mobs). Adrenaline rush + bandage (gouge or blind).
Last wave I got an extra respawn on top of the Queen so 4 mobs - waited for evasion and blade flurry to be off cooldown, went in guns blazing, nuked the Queen, looted the brain and vanished.

Pretty horrible quest unless you got strong cooldowns.

Mobs there apply a disease that adds a #$%^ ton of physical damage taken. It makes this quest even more difficult than it already would be. If you cant remove diseases then having a 2nd person is advisable.

If you fail, you'll have to restart the whole grind to get back inside.

I didn't have the horrific experience that everyone else in the comments has had.

60 Rogue. Whilst I was stealthed in the hive queen room and reading this page, the hive Queen just turned up. Perhaps she respawned or patrolled into the room I don't know but there she was.

So then I just dumped all my cooldowns, murdered her and then vanished.

Didn't even use the lure of face the waves discussed in other comments.

I don't think there was anyone else around that somehow triggered her to just appear but I can't be sure. There was certainly no combat in the hive room whilst I was waiting.

Might be worth just spamming a targeting macro and waiting for a while for her just to appear, so you can kill her more easily without facing the waves.

On the other hand maybe I just really lucky. I'd be interested if others had the same experience as me, so please reply if you did (or tried and didn't).

Just a heads up - if you die without completing the objective, killing the queen and looting her brain. The item to summon her Gorishi Queen Lure vanishes.

In Classic:

I did this solo as a 55 shadow priest.

Summon and run for the tunnel - kill first wave of 2 guards in the tunnel.

I died on the 2nd wave but I think I could have avoided it by simply not pulling the 2nd wave.

By the time I ran back to recover my body the 2nd wave was gone and the 3rd wave with the queen had spawned.

Popped Vampiric Embrace. Pulled the queen in to the tunnel with Mind Blast, hit her with Shadow Word Pain and Devouring Plague. Finished her with Mind Flay.

The guards killed me of course and I had to run back again to loot her corpse.

BUT... My impression is the queen's arrival is just a matter of time. So if you kill the first wave of 2 then just wander off down the hall and spend a few minutes killing other mobs. I think the 2nd wave will disappear, the queen will spawn on her own and you can avoid the 2nd wave altogether. That means you can solo the quest with only 1 death.

Looking at other comments here, the guards have 2 different kinds of special attacks. 1 is a disease, which can be cured and the other is an acid splash. You can't do anything about the latter.

And careful with those Alliance lowlifes! I was fighting down to the last addon before the queen, Alliance rogue shows up, kills the Queen and steals the brain.

Do not go to do this alone.
1.) You are in a cave.
2.) There will be waves of mobs spawning before the qeueen that you can not avoid
3.) The tunnels will have respawned by the time you have realized that you are overwhelmed.

Defeat the Gorishi Hive Queen once she is summoned.

Bring the Gorishi Queen's Brain to Alchemist Pestlezugg in Gadgetzan.

Here's the lure. Inside the hive network should be a crystal of some sort. We think the silithid use the crystal as some sort of hive-wide attunement device. As for where this crystal might be, I'd say try the hatcheries inside the hive.

Using the lure on the crystal should roust out the queen, but be warned - she will probably be protected by several guards. Take out the queen and remove her brain. As icky as that sounds, we desperately need to study it. Good luck, <name>!
