Look to the Sundown Marsh and the Saltspray Glen in the north of the Wetlands. For me they dropped the skins one after the other. Happy Hunting!

They're on the Northwest shore of Baradin Bay, in a place called Sundown Marsh, beyond the Lost Fleet. I also got a drop rate of 100% and they were easy for my 24 Warrior. No tricks.

You have to go for the GIANT croc's , not the young ones.
Right across from the raptors, towards the coast, you will see an Ole WIndmill..On the coast, there you will find the GIANT crocs.
They are everywhere, and everyone of them dropped.
Easy XP and I wanted the recipe :)

I found that its very slow trying to kill the crocs by the mill and a good alternative is to kill them in the Lake as soon as u go out of Menethil Bay. They are at the South end at 16,58 - At the North there are just young ones but lots of giant's when you go to the south. =]

My 24 Priest accidentally discovered a bunch of these in the protected bay East of Menthil while looking for Stranglekelp. Killed six in about 15 minutes and the drop rate was 100%. They hang out in pairs, so you will probably get an add unless you pull carefully. I believe there was also one "Phantom Add" ("instant respawn" of a mob that wasn't there originally) but the more the merrier.

There are also a bunch of regular crocs in the North part of the harbor along the coast that are also tied in pairs (and one triple), so keep your eyes open.

XP was 2100 at 25 (just dinged 25 during the fighting, courtesy of the crocs), a Resilient Poncho (or mail leggings) and the recipe for Crocolisk Gumbo, which seems fairly appropriate. Not bad.

The GIANT crocs you need for this quest occupy a small area north of the old windmill, between the murloc area and the raptors.
Leave menethial go north along the coast past all the murlocs. Once you find one GIANT crocolisk, stay in the area and look for others. Wait for respawns. They are in a tight area. If you have skinning they are level 130. The wetlands crocs do not drop the skins. Only the Giant wetlands crocs do drop. If you are killing wetlaneds crocs you need to move closer to the shore.

the hardest part for me is just finding enough freaking crocs to kill. slow respawn rate.

i found 4 crocks at onces at these cords 18,26 around there its just grass them cords but the swamps serounding it is the best place to find the skins, for u with out cords near the sunken ships

They are right near the water's edge near where the second ship is sunk. They extend all the way down the coast line to the Raptors in Sundown Marsh. I wouldn't say 100% drop rate but it's pretty close to that, maybe about 90% drop rate.

I did this at Sundown Marsh, right by the vendors. Got one skin for each kill. Also found a rare mob, Mirelow.

I've killed like 7 of these crocs and they've dropped nothing.

Droprate seems to be around 100%, only 1 of the crocs I killed didn't drop the item. Too bad they respawn quite slowly, another player just left the place when I entered and I had to wait around 8 minutes before they respawned.

Just travel along the northern shore just past the two ship wrecks and you can't miss them. They all dropped so no problems there. They're level 25-26 but I found them easy to kill.

For those with Cosmos, tloc, start at tloc 18,23 and north along the north shore from that area.

I found them at (18,27) and (18,26) it's a really frustrating quest, because if you can't find a pocket of them, you end up running around northwestern wetlands searching for several minutes.

If you don't need the quest rewards, it might be best to skip this one.

Although the quest before this one has a bad droprate, this one seems to have 100% drop according to others who posted before me and from me doing the quest. I found alot around 18,29 and in about 10 mins I was done.

Moderately equipped, non-twink L23 hunter with L22 cat pet CAN take down the L25 giant crocs but cannot take down the L26 giants. The reason is that the cat, with Growl 2 only, can't keep 'em off me :) I will try an ice trap, next, giving kitty more time to growl them before I start pumping them full of arrows, but my normal, quick-kill technique, using fire trap, concussion shot to open, serpent stings in the middle, and arcane shot to finish is fine for L25 and not good enuf for L26.

The back item is a good upgrade for my char.

I took out the level 26 crocs without any troubles at level 22 (paladin) with ordinary gear.

But, watch the pathing and choose your pull spots with care - an add will make things get reall messy real fast.

As has been stated above, the area on the shore near the ghost ship is pretty good.

Just a warning: there are Fen Creepers (stealthed) in basically every river fork near the ghost ship. They're only L23-24, but can make for some nasty adds if you're not careful, so just know that they are there.

As others have posted - a quick and easy 6/6 on this. Very good for 2100xp. Was able to solo these no problem in cat with L22 druid.

I only had to kill 8 of them to get all 6 skins.

2100 exp as a level 23 Hunter. (I killed them while I was still 22 with ordinary gear.) Easy if you don't lag. xD

I was hunter 22lvl with 22lvl cat i can take 25lvl giant crocs easy, 26lvl was so difficult but also got raped ^^

My equipmet was good, but nothing special :S

In the Harbour to the right of the bridge if you are leaving the city there is a deep hole that has a ton of these GIANT crocs (which is different from normal wetlands crocs). If you are a warlock use your breathing spell. I think this spot is better than the ghost ship as it is close to the town and the lower level crocs are in the front (level 21 to 24) There are a few 26 crocs in the back so be careful. You usually can get just one at a time if you are careful and stay to the front. MUCH MORE SUPPLY HERE than up by the ghost ship off the coast.

This quest is a good one in that the items drop often from the crocs on the coast north of the shipwrecks. Crocs are 25-26; I was doing the quest as a 26-27 druid, and I got 6 skins off 8 kills. This quest is one of the few good ones that way in this zone.

For example, War Banners quest took 45 or more kills to get 8 banners off dragonmaw orcs, Digging in the Ooze took 35-plus kills to get the bag to drop off the oozes at the tomb in the north.

I was able to do this as a 23 priest- not going to wear the equipment reward, as I've a cape with +7 healing, obviously a plus for a priest.

Also 2100xp.

This is one of the few quests where I nailed six quest items out of six kills, instead of the usual six quest items in 20 to 40 kills like the pain in the butt raptor-swallowing relic mission.
The best place to find the big crocs is in the swamp area next to the ghost ship in the water on the left. Nooo, not IN the water, you wait ON the swampland near it. :)
The chain leggings were a great improvement to this warrior's armor.

Did this as a lvl 24 rogue without problems. Stealth was a major benefit and inflicted damage and armor reducing. Just try and watch out for fen creepers (stealthed, they popup at the last second and are annoying to aggro.

They're east of menethil harbor, like right outside of town. Just dive down near the south part of the river, there's alot of them. You just have to keep divin and resurfacing. There are also many many scattered north of the river, near the pirate ship; but they are slow at respawning.

As of right now, I've killed about 20 of them and have yet to receive one (I have two at the moment).

Not sure if quest is bugged, or just incredibly unlucky.

And yes, I'm killing the giant crocs.

Right now, on classic, the best place to farm them is the lake east of Menethil Harbor, in the southern part. I found only 3 giant crocolisks in the area where the pointers here are showing, but I foudn around 10 ini the southern part of the lake. And since all quest guides send you to the marshes upnorth, this area was clear of competition so I easily got all 6 skins

Thank &*!@ for the 100% drop rate. If it's not, then I got lucky. Was able to solo as a level 22 mage easier than a good amount of yellow gathering quests. Nice to have a break from the unforgiving RNG. Crocs are levels 25/26.

I sent my apprentice out into the marshes to skin some of our famous giant Wetlands crocolisks. When he didn't return, I went out to look for him... Let's just say it wasn't a pretty sight.

Midwife says he might pull through, but in the meantime I still need my skins!

...If you'd like to kill a few more of the brutes, I wouldn't be opposed, after what they did. You'll find the crocs north up the coast, beyond the murloc hovels.
