Irontree Woods (49, 26) in Felwood.

Drop rate is high, but not 100%. Took me six kills to get all three.

Once again, the mobs you need for this quest are camped hardcore, usually for Essence of Water. I ran into a level 60 undead mage wearing Tier 3 and riding a Black War Wolf (in other words, he was exalted with Orgrimmar as well) who would tag all the mobs in sight, then AOE them to death. If you run into one of these individuals who are obviously very very poor and desperately NEED to farm, try sending them a tell to join up in a group. You will likely have to give up all loot rights except for your quest drops, but it's better than not finishing the quest (and watching some jerk ruin your game). Thanks Blizzard!

Don't try do this quest in a raid group, they won't drop. My bad for doing that. Dropped every kill after I left the raid group. >__<

Done as a 55 Frost mage. Didn't have to drink water one time, they would die before getting to me. Go to 48,24 in Feralas called irontree woods you will see some walking trees but near the swamp looking water there are a group of em waiting to drop your quest item :) I only needed to kill 4

Its not bug, which is suggested in previous posts. The Toxic Horrors drop the dropletes. I got it done in 30 mins. tloc 50,24

maybe i got lucky, but the first three i killed dropped them. Found them near the big lake at the bottom the cliffs. 50,23. If you're looking at the map, go to the top of the word "Irontree" in Irontree woods. it's right there you can't miss them.

Not sure if this is significant, but while afflicted by the Toxic Horror poisons, I didn't get any drops. As soon as the affliction expired, I got my drops....

This was a easy really 2easy the dropprate was 2 high but thats good,ived kill 3/5 when i was finnish found much @ aroud 48.24 .

The drop rate was very nice on these. Only had to kill 4 mobs to get all three droplets and there weren't many farmers there, whole quest including run time took about 7 minutes.

i've killed 8 of these so far, and havent got a single one yet. they've dropped a few hearts of fire, coal and elemental cores.. thats it.... to late for me now, so ill have to continue later with this one.

Just to note.. It dropped off the first 3 horrors I killed. However these things drop Essence of Water often enough to have 5-6 farmers constantly killing them. So it takes a while to find 3 to kill that aren't already claimed by farmers :-/

Three for Three as well. Coords were close, slightly off. Was able to find them with elemental tracker.
I had to fight for them though. Three other hunters were slaughtering the whole area.

Toxic horrors can be found at (49,26) with CT mod, I killed 4 and got my 3 drops, and another hunter came right behind me and did the same. Good luck!

This quest is done in FELWOOD.

50,23 was the middle of the island in Irontree woods. They hang out in the toxic green sludge. Good drop rate.

I would just like to confirm saying this is a really easy quest.
Mobs are lvl 53-54. about 3.2k hp.
They have horrible poisons and stuff though...so watch it.
Took 4 kills to get all 3.
Do the quest.

There's hardly any of these, the spawn rate is extremely low, and there's dozens of players camping the spawns. Very badly designed in the re-creation for classic.

Did I miss anything? Oh. Low drop rate. Unlike back in vanilla, you'll kill lots of these before you get your quest items. Expect to spend a lot of time on this quest.

In classic if you're on a pvp server just drop the quest. These are constantly farmed by level 60 players.

For petes sake, please ALSO kill the Irontree Stompers. Them and the Toxic Horrors share the spawn points. I don't know how many times I came here, there were no farmers, and only lots and lots of Irontree Stompers about. Kill some of them, and lo and behold, the Toxic Horrors spawn again.

There must be some amount of luck involved. I don't remember this from the first time around and read the comments below with resignation rather than anticipation. Then 3 drops in 6 kills. I'm not usually this lucky so it might be worth a try.

I've studied the sample you returned with, and while I can't say for sure, I believe it contains traces of toxic elements. However, the only way to know for sure is to gather some as a comparison.

I believe that the Deadwood furbolg may be gathering these elements from other corrupted creatures in Felwood; in particular, the elementals living in the Irontree Woods, called toxic horrors.

Collect a few samples for me to compare, but be careful -- it's very dangerous there!
