The writings can be found near the back of the temple in Azshrara. It's a small book lying on the ledge, I had a hard time finding it the first time around.

The temple is at the very east end of the Ruins of Eldarath and hard to miss. If you walk in you will see Warlord Krellian standing on a round platform in the middle of a pool.

Behind that pool are two moon-shaped ledges, on the left one (looking from the entrance) is the quest item.

BTW the mobs in the temple are not a problem if you meet a reasonable level requirement for running BRD (55+).

If you go in the temple... and you see the Warlord, it's behind him. Not in the pool or anything. It's on a ledge behind him. It's small.

Yes the book is there exactly at 42.52 just behind the levle 55 lord that stand in the middle of the altar.. Enjoy

When approaching the entrance take out the mob guarding entrance then as you enter go to right against wall, kill 3/4 mobs and the book is on a low wall against waters edge, approach from wall and take book without having to fight the lord.
Took me 7 mins from entering. then i hearthstoned back to IF

Did it as a 57 warlock without aggroing a single mob. I just walked in the front, stayed along the wall, and grabbed the book (on a ledge near the middle, in back) while the guy nearby walked away a few feet.

what you need to finish the quest is Sacred Highborne Writings. Its a book, in the Temple of Zin-Malor. The cords are 42, 53.

The book is directly behind the warlord on the ledge. It is very small as others have said. I stayed in there and farmed soul-shards from the easy mermen in there. There is a fairly fast respawn for the temple. You can go upstairs and kill the top floor, then go to the bottom and kill all, repeat, rinse. Good xp even at lev 56.

Completed this at lvl 60. Received the following rewards:
-6000 Experience
-Repuation with Alliance increased by 25

Also the NPC's gives a new quest chain which ends with your choice of three green items (which I didn't find useful):

Okay, this quest is easy to solo if you do it right.
As said earlier simply kill the first mob by the door and stick to the right. Although I felt that this quest was far to easy for a level 55 pally. Getting to Aurora before this quest was much harder I thought.
I killed the level 55 simply for fun, I could've easily ran off with the book without him even noticing.
There are no elites in this temple.

But the Correct coordinates for the book are 41.52...It will be lying on the floor and I had to fight absolutely noone to get this completed

If you look behind the warlord there are 2 semi circular benches built into the floor.
The book is on the left hand one. It's a grey book on a grey bench so you miss it at first glance!

No trouble doing this as a 54 mage. Quick clean kills. You can pull them 1 at a time or even avoid the lot altogether if you want to. (might as well get the kills for all that trouble getting there from EP and then going back again!). Got a few nice drops to sell at AH as well...:-)

The object is indeed at 41,52; however many of the descriptions here do not describe the exact location of the book well enough to find it (in fact some are downright misleading).

As you enter the temple, you'll see Warlord Krellian in the middle of the pool on an island. If you continue straight, moving directly across the room to the east and past the island. you will come to an spot between two small alcoves (recesses with ledges near the pool).

The book is in the left alcove, on top of the ledge at the far end (closer to the entrance).

the temple is at about 40,52, straight down the road from the alliance flight point.

the book is sitting on the short wall that encircles the pool, behind the warlord naga.

Did this quest at 54 (decided to finally get around to doing it - us lazy druids :P) grabbed the book and decided to kill the 55 Warlord in the middle. .dropped some money and a big mouth clam. . inside was a Golden Pearl (w00t!) Not bad for the day after christmas :)

Went to the temple found the book no problem. clicked on it , it opened and nothing more happened. Tried several times still could not read or pick up the book . Will try tomorrow again to see if i can get it then. If not must be broken

Found the book to the right of the bottom of the ramp behind Warlord Krillian. Easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Also killed rare spawn General Fangferror upstairs, got Heavy Lamellar Vambraces of the Bear as well as 3 black pearls and 1 iridescent. All in all, a good run.

The book is in the Timple of Zin-Malor in the Ruins of Eldarath. It is sitting on a short ledge to the left of the center as you walk in.

I found the book relatively quick but could not click on it. After logging out and back in I then got the gear cursor and picked up book no problem.

OK went back and same thing again. But this time I logged and relogged and got the book NP. So if it doesnt work try to relog should be ok just bugged

Go into the temple.
Work around to your left.
Get to the bottom of the ramp.
Swing 90 degrees to your right.
Look on the little ledge around the warlord nearest you.
The tiny little book is there!

Don't do what I did and kill everything...you could do this as a lvl 50/1 as nothing you need to kill is above 4 or 5 x lvl 52's! You don't even need the lvl 55 in the centre. He just gives cash to me anyway

I believe this is the Crystal of Zin-Malor, an artifact that can contain and control strong arcane forces. It could have been used for good, but the evil intentions of those that stole it caused it to shatter.

Go to the Temple of Zin-Malor in Azshara - I can only hope the book is still there.
