Only obtainable by human priests. I consider it a little too expensive for the benefit.

Side note: Was originally a melee weapon buff, which had a chance on hit to effect the target with a weak mana burn. This was very innefective, however I believe that originally priests where meant to be better at meleeing. The original inner fire, which had +attack power seems to strengthen this theory.

What is the reward for this quest. I dont know if I want to waste time getting to 20 with a priest who doesnt get something worthwile. Desperate prayer doesnt count.

As a level 40 priest, I can tell you a few advantages of being a level 20+ priest.
1) you'll never want for a party. everyone needs a healer.
2) with the right spec, you can either be one of the greatest healers in game, or the greatest damage dealer as far as casters go.
3) you have spells to protect you from taking physical damage.
The disadvantages of being a priest.
1) very hard to solo. (to get around this, make friends with a warrior or paladin, and quest in a party of 2 to reduce XP drain)
2)lack of variety in damage dealing spells.
3) can only wear cloth armour.

Personally I find the challenge of being a priest to be very interesting, and part of the fun in my game is to see if i can really take out that elite on my own.... and quite often, i do.
If you choose to create a priest who's sole purpose is healing/ buff party members... i strongly suggest you try a holy/ discipline spec. Personally, I prefer shadow spec, just because shadow form looks damn awesome, and all my armour is centered around maximizing damage i deal via shadow. it's just beautiful to crit for 400 as a priest. warm and fuzzy feelings inside and all.

I have a 17 priest, and personally I prefer shadow as your heals are good enough to save someone even without specializing. Sure, you can cast faster and heal an additional 400 (guess) at level 60, but 400 hp is two attacks then. If you go shadow, you can do extreme damage, silence enemies, and so on. Also, the extra 18% range with shadow spells is nice.

AMAGAD!� priest can fear silence and shield while in shadow form that makes it do 15% more damage with shadow spells and takeing 15% lesser damage from all kinds of sources. with a casting time of 1.5 sec and doing more like 800+ damage with crit at lvl 60 and doing mana burns that drains upp to 1000 mana and doing 500 damage is kinda owneing, escpsialy when 20% of the damage dealt is returned as healing cuse of beeing shadow talented, and not to talk about shield that gives a nice 940 more hp every 15 sec with talents!"� (no interupptions and also silenceing other spell casters for 5 sec and fearing them that also make them unable to attack or do anything at all�!�!#�

i was going to take tailoring and enchanting for my priest but i dont know if it is the right choice can anyone give me a few tips

Hi,

i've played a mage up 2 55 with tailoring and skinning. You get the best clothes made by yourself! For some recipes you need leather so these two prof. are going conform.
But with enchanting you will be a asked man just 4 the coll stuff like +50 heath or +mana and so on...
It all depends on what your like 2 do!
I'm very happy with the combination of tailoring and skinning.
with my new char (a priest) i'm going in engineering and Mining with my little Friend :D.
its more for the fun than 4 use, until now, but 125+ recipes are quiet intresting! But you must keep in mind: Enchanting can get you very expensive when you are on your own, without a good Partners.

You don't have to beg from others, just politely ask everyone in your guild to mail you the green items they find that they are going to vendor trash for vendor price+ an additional 1 or 2s for the time.

i have a 55 shadow priest, and it makes it hard to find a group with shadow spec, ppl think you cant heal good b/c of your spec, its sooo stupid......so....whats the prize for the quest? lol

the quest reward is the abilit for humans to cast this spell
it is very hard

you have to walk all the way to SW and talk to some one for xp the spell and rep.

i was a level 10 priest and i figured this all out on my own

This is probably one of my least used spells. Think about it, for a lot of mana you get to burn someone else's mana (only burns like 15% of what you spent to use it)? No thanks... I'll stick to Mana Burn if thats what I wanna do, and if I wanna do damage then I can melee attack for more... jesus, this is only a good spell for desperate situations where you have an abundance of mana...
