this quest says it's for horde only but i'm alliance and was able to take the quest. am i able to complete this from alliance side?

Yes, I'm Alliance, and I just completed the quest. She gives you another quest to get a key from an Ape King - elite lvl 51.

The bottles are found East of BB along the shore and on the Western side of Jaguero Isle. There are 3 gray notes, scrolls, and the quest item you're searching for that you can acquire from the bottles.

(I ended up abandoning the quest because I spent 1h 30m opening all the bottles and didn't find the quest item. It's random, so you might pick up the quest item in your first bottle. Goodluck!)

There's no need to take a group. As the 1st poster indicated, the NPC is at 38, 80. Yes, there are a bunch of level 50 critters roaming around, including invisible level 50 panthers, but none of them are casters or ranged combat types, so if they jump you just run for the ocean which is about 20 yards from the NPC and as you may know melee mobs will not follow you into the ocean.

Approach the island from the north center and just go south til you see her. All you have to do is speak to her and complete the quest. It may take a few tries because there are quite a few mobs around and you probably have to be close to 45 to have a small enough aggro radius to make it possible, but I did it at 46 and it only took me 2 tries to make it to her without getting jumped.

After you complete the quest and get the xp, she gives you the King Mukla quest, which is a horse of a different color. And another story.

As a 45 Mage Alchemist, I made up one Lesser Invisibility Potion, took a drink and walked right to her. She's on a little mound just behind the big tree, as stated not far off the north coast. I had 39,81.

Soloed it at lvl 46 (warrior).
I swam to 38.77, went straight south for a few yards and there she was.

No beast in agrorange, talked to her, gained XP and got the next quest, went back the same way.

Here is how you solo this as level 50 druid:

Starfire then directly root.
Spam wrath. As soon as root is up, root again. Abort any wrath currently in action, just root!

When you get down to low mana, use innervate (if you have that) if not skip next sentance ;)
Keep doing what you did untill you get down to low mana.

Now, you have no mana. Use hibernate on him, sit back and relax, get your mana up again.

Keep hibernating him if he wakes.

Then start over just like you did.

This takes a while but do work, thats how I did it at level 50.

Some things to point out:
Dont use thorns, it might break hibernate. Dont use moonfire or any other DOT since it breaks hibernate.

Remember, its more important that you root and hibernate than you do damage, if you are currently throwing a damagespell when he gets loose, abort it and root or hibernate.

Easy peasy.

On Jaguero Isle. Easy to find. Lvl 50 panthers. Did at 45 but died once going in and once coming out. Starts chain that you can't do at 45.

on large island east of booty bay. go to north end of island center. at the waters edge use your mount to run up to her and get quest. that way if anything chases you run to the water. im a lev. 45 shamen and i completed this quest

I'm a 45 Dwarf Priest. I had a 47 NE Warrior friend doing the quest with me.

First of all, the bottles on the beach don't all have the same note. The only one that starts the quest is the "Carefully Folded Note". There are 3 or 4 different notes that are named differently, but the "Carefully Folded Note" is the only one that starts the quest. If you leave the shark's mouth entrance to booty bay heading north, go straight for the coast past the graveyard right outside of booty bay. When you get to the coast, the bottle appears within about 100 yards north and south along the shore. (I don't have coords cause I'm at work right now and I'm bored so I'm posting on Thottbot :P )

So after you get the quest, you swim straight east to the island and the Princess is a Tauren chick exactly at 38,80 (I did this quest last night). There's a couple of shadowmaw panthers just in the forest's edge between the coast and the little camp that the Princess is held captive at. It's not really a camp like you would think. There's a fire, a couple of boxes, barrels, and debris and that's about it.

After you clear through the panthers and any Gorillas you aggro, you talk to her, then head east along the north side of the hill that the princess is at the foot of. You can't miss Mukla. He's about 75ft tall in scale. He hits REALLY HARD! We tried to 1-man him with my 47 Warrior friend and me healing but he hits so hard that we got him down to 80% health and I was down to 30% of my mana. I've got 3900 mana and I'm Holy/Discipline Spec and my Greater heals do about 1k HP and crit for about 1450HP.

So... I started messaging 48's and 50's for help. I found a 52 Pally and 48 Warrior who were coming to do the quest. It was pretty easy. Just make sure if you're lower than 50 that you clear out the gorillas around him before you engage. Also, he does fear. Not chain fear, just every once in a while. The paladin was feared 3 times and the fight took about 1 minute, but I kept removing the fear (being a priest and all) so that may have had something to do with him being feared so much.

Me and my warrior friend stuck around to help another group who aggro'd him too early and we didn't get a chance to clear the gorillas around him so I aggroed from healing so much and almost died once or twice. The 2nd pull was a mess, but no one was higher than 47 so we weren't doing as much damage as with the first group. We had a 46 pally, 46 warrior, 45 rogue, me (45 priest), and my warrior friend (47) and it was harder than with the first group I did it with.

So yeah, if you're 55+, you can probably solo him. But if you're 45-48, you'll need a 3-man group (tank, healer, dps). If you're 50/51, you can probably 2-man it with a healer (pally or druid would do).

Kinda unfair that this quest is marked as Lv 45 (both quest and attain level) wheras the mobs you will encounter on the island are Lv 50 on average.

7350 Exp at Lv 48 (60 Mage helped) and some crappy bracers but no faction gain.

i ran up the island and started wondering why there where no mobs, tried all sorts of tracking.. still nothing.
so walk up the island a bit more and out of nothing i have 4 jaguero cats coming to get me. so i ran into the sea and swom to wild shore where i found the bottle :)

before bothering to do this quest, get a few ppl together b/c upon completion you have to kill a 51elite named guy, so rather than going to and fro may as well do it while you're there- you get Mail: Poobah's Nose Ring when you complete it too

Ripped Note: describes someone in captivity on an island. I found on the North side of Jaguero Isle.

Clear, white note: (starts quest Message in a Bottle) I found on the West side of Jaguero Isle.

The princess is near the central, west side of Jaguero.

I fished a bottle containing page of a diary (Day 512) where a rather (mentally) distressed person described how bananas talked to them after such a long captivity/exile...

We found the bottle (1 person can loot, then it disappears) just outside of BB. Went East from the Jaws, and to the beach. While fighting there, found the bottle a few times, and sometimes it has the quest.

The bottle can also be found by the naga filled ruins a little further to the North.

You can find the author on the Southeast island of Stranglethorn Vale at 38, 81. If you dont have the co ords, its North east of the island on top of a small mountain/hill.

ok,i need some help with what kind of people at what levels to take. should i take a couple of 60's with me if i could? or should i take some higher 40's people, like 47, 48?

Solo'd this as a lvl 53 lock, with only succubus out. Required 1 soulstone ;) He feared quite well, DoTs and wand and succ's extra DPS did the trick (until she died). Didn't use any pots or healthstones.

49 Druid Soloed him. Yes, I took cheap tactics but I waited for about half an hour and nobody came to help me. Just Root him wait about 10 seconds, starfire->moonfire->root. Its that simple. Twice I used mana potions, and twice i bandaged myself. If things look like they are getting hairy just cast hibernate and he sleeps for up to 30 seconds. its that simple. Oh yeah, I'm full feral build so I'm sure it would be easier for a balance druid to do than the way I did it.

It should be mentioned also that Jaguero Island is guarded by level 50 stealthed cats called Jaguero Stalkers, so a lower level group must use caution getting around here.

Hunters: These cats have Cower Rank 5 and Prowl Rank 3 when tamed. :)

Found Princess Poobah at 38, 80. Had to fight a level 50 stealthed cat on my way to the princess, but VW took care of it. ;) 2900 XP at level 45.

Just did this quest at 47. Had a 36 hunter and a 56 priest with me.

King Mukla is a 51 elite gorilla that hits between 150-250...saw a few crits over 400. I tanked the whole fight, priest went down with King at 4%, hunter and I finished him off. I used a potion just incase this mutha used execute, which he didn't.

7350 xp reward and the poobah ring.

Found the bottle near the Zanzil Zombies ruins twice. First one had a Scroll of Intellect III, second had this quest.

I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to actually start this quest everyone was talking about in /1

This quest is started by the Carefully Folded Note which can randomly be found inside of the Half Buried Bottles spread randomly around the coast of Jaguero Isle and the Wild Shore. The bottles are tiny, but bright green and not very difficult to spot in the sand if you're looking for them. The note isn't contained in them 100% of the time but it's common so it shouldn't take many more than 5 or so bottles until you get it, unless you're supremely unlucky.

Please, my need for help is dire. A great Skymane holds me captive on an island in the South Seas.

The stars at night are foreign to me and obscured by the jungle trees, but on the clearest days I see Wild Shore to the northwest, and what seem to be large sailing ships to the southwest.
