Necessary mobs mainly around the base of the road that leads to Hearthglen:

52, 45

There are also some non quest Avengers(melee), Invokers(arcane missles), and Spellbinders(mainly frost) that group with the quest ones.

Seen one mage spawn so far. Annoying quest, if you see a mage, don't skip it to do the others first.

Quest worked for me, the mobs were all in the forward camp. The one where you have to burn down the command tent and plant the Horde Banner at.

As a 54 NE hunter no problem with this until it came time to take out the hunters. Killed 5 times trying to get close enough to kill a hunter to finish this quest. IMHO the camp needs better spacing. No way to pull a single hunter ( and hunters are never single) without pulling a caster as well.

I recommend doing this quest series before you're 60. The XP payout is nice, but there's no faction reward and the money isn't all that impressive.

It is possible to pull a single hunter. But I'm not sure how simple it is for a class that can't sleep the dog first. Which is how I did it.

These are 3 very easy quests in this chain and it gives 18k experience and the experience for killing the mobs too. I highly recommend doing it! It's easy and lots of experience what more could you ask for. :)

The coords are accurate. Soloed at 55 as shadow spec priestess. Knights are easy single pulls. Mages also easy single pulls..use "silence" half way thru the fight and you're golden. Hunters are a bit of a pain. I suggest taking care of the pets first as they can do a lot of interrupting of your casting and the hunter stays at range. Mana up to full between hunter pulls as you'll be doing the hunter and the pet who are both the same level (around 53 or 54, I think). Medics aren't bad. Trickier to pull single so be careful not to get aggro from the nearby hunters or invokers. The invokers are a real pain in the....well...you know...lol. Remember to use "silence" when the medic starts to cast a heal or you'll be in for a long fight. All in all, a very doable quest at level 55 if you find yourself without a tanking partner or simply prefer to solo it.

Ok, the medics and hunters you can find at the little scarlet camp between the first two farms north of the road. It's the same camp you burn down for a bulwark quest. Knights can be found further to the east, head north along the road that leads towards heathglen (sp?). The scarlets here come in groups, bunches of knights with mages scattered through standing around barricades on the road, the further north toward heathglen you go the more avengers and spellbinders get mixed in.

Is this quest broken? I couldn't find any mages, only invokers, and killing them doesn't finish the quest.

The mages are along the road to Hearthglaen.
I think the spawn randomly as knights mages invokers etc...

Wait till the group of 4 and the dog engage an undead, one shot the caster and FD. freeze trap and aimed shot the hunter, serpent sting him, auto shot should finish him in a few seconds, plenty of time to fear the dog and then just kite the caster up the road. Easy. Come back in 5 minutes to repeat and you're good

It's bit unclear from the map, but the easier way to get to Kirsta is via Northridge Lumber Camp (as opposed to via the road to Hearthenglen.)

... I didn't realize this and ended up jumping off the cliff!

The Mages are hard to find, but I found a camp where there are 2.

On the way to hearthglen there is a passage to the right, they are up ahead on that road.

As of this post the Hunters seem to be linked with a Medic and an Invoker (Arcane mage mob), as well as his hound. Aggroing any one of them will pull all four of them which means this becomes insanely hard to solo unless you try to frontload and kill the hunter, then likely die from the rest (unless you're a mage or something of course). As of the most recent hotfix, you CANNOT hit the Hunter and then run to try and reset the others; they will all follow you for the extended leash when you strike a mob.

The Knights, Mages and even Medics are easy enough. It's only the Hunters which seem to be in a group with the others.

goddam the placement of the hunters is absolutely the worst. good job Blizz at not having the hunters walk around so you can actually kill them. instead the only way to kill them is to pull 2-3 mobs which include casters and healers. you absolute #$%^s

I was sent as a scout to do some damage and gauge the strength of Hearthglen's defenses. Some people in the Alliance feel the little town has more than historical importance. It's not my job to question what that importance is, but regardless, I'm in no shape to continue until I rest up.

If you're willing, I'd pay handsomely for some help. Start south of here at their camp near the small bulwark they've set up. If you prove strong enough, maybe I could get your help with my main goal.
