Eating the apple gives you a 15 minute disguise buff as a member of the Scarlet Crusade, and all of the npcs inside Tyr's Hand will become allied, and you cannot attack them.

Also, if you're a female rogue and stealthed while disguised, a glitch will change your illusion from a female to a male Scarlet Crusader, and back again if you exit and reenter stealth.

I thought it be cool to have another costume around but you can only eat the apples in Eastern Plaugeland defeating the point of keeping it.

I ate the apple and just ran around having fun being a human (I'm usually a tauren). My friend got turned into a female human which was pretty funny to see.

So anyway, I got ganked by alliance, came back to my body and revived. The mission now says "complete" and the apple is gone. So even if the mission does work when done normally, there's some weird stuff going on with it.

I just got this quest, but when I try to open the chest, I get "There is nothing to loot" error... =/

I ate the apple, went into Tyr's Hand, saw a ? on the Lord's head, talked to him and it killed me straight away.

now i don't have any apples on me, though the report is still in my bags.

whats that about ?

I did this mission with a mage friend of mine and had the time of my WoW life. The scarlets help you kill the AC around you. Its great. I neglected to turn in the mission just so the houndmaster would give me another. We killed so many ac that were out farming for arcane crystals..... all and all good times.

Well, I had one hell of a time trying to find him. This explains why they gave you 4 apples. Never really could. So I did the next best thing. I waited for the crimson courier to arrive and followed her into the building. right when she went into the hall of the main building, Valdelmar appeared. I ran up and beat her to it & gave him doc to complete quest. You then get quest from him to go back to Nathanos Blightcaller.

Im a tauren warrior, and i switched thru gender when switching stances lol, pretty funny!

Just don't open any treasure chests while in disguise. Breaks it and you will get your ass kicked severely.

So can this quest be done by your self? One of my guild mates said you needed 10-15 people for it, but i have a feeling he is talking out of his ****. Pls bare in mind im a sucky holy priest and can only just handle the lvl 53 elites at the gates :(

This is easy. When you get to the gate, eat the apple, then ride straight in and hand in the quest. Its the big building straight ahead.

One thing to watch out for: I tried to pick up some herb while there and when I looted the apple disguise immediately came off and I was attacked. Easy enough to eat the apple again and they left me alone.

Travel to Tyr's Hand, southeast of the Marris Stead. Once there, take a bite of the Rotten Apple. While under the guise of the Scarlet Crusade, deliver the Grand Crusader's Command to Crusader Lord Valdelmar.
