Zamja isn't giving the quest. I'm lvl 44, at cooking 150. Is there another way to get past 150 cooking?

The horde's expert cooking is in desolace, in the troll town there

Alterac Swiss is also available from vendor in Desolace.

Maybe they want to get the Quest in Orgrimmar because they are not on the Alliance side? That would make sense...

If you are eager to progress in cooking but the level 45 quest is too hard (or at least too frustrating), just go to the Auction House. After braving the desert of Tanaris with too few returns, I found plenty of eggs and zesty clams at the AH. Cheap, too.

I just got this quest as a level 38 Orc Warrior - cooking maxed out at 225.

The only way you can get the arisan cooking is to goto gadgetzan. I was lvl 35 when i finally got the quest to go there. Called "I know a guy" I was lvl 38 when i ran from desolace all the way to gadgetzan. Wow was that frightful. Now i'm lvl 39 and having a tough time with the lvl 43's and 45 beasts around gadgetzan just looking for the stuff. This can be done at this level, i've seen someone else do it. But yeah, you have to goto gadgetzan to get the quest.

the owl bears in the hinterlands drop the eggs more frequantly than the rocs.

only need to be lvl 35 and cooking 225. no need to go to org just go to gadgetzan and speak with dirge quickcleave.found ingredients at AH except for giant eggs and the rocs are tough at lvl 35. Dirge does say the eggs drop off other large birds but so far no luck here.

Sure you don't need to go to Org first, but you're missing out on an easy 900 or so XP from finishing the quest that Zamja gives you to talk to him.

You have to be level 35 (horde) to get the quest. You can get the clam meat from naga in Booty Bay,(good drop rate) the eggs from the moonkin/owlbeasts in Hinterlands, and the Altarac Swiss from Thunderbluff.

does anyone know where a lvl 41 char can train their cookings skills up to
lvl 300?

did the quest Gadgetzan - but were not trained higher - so whats up?

Any1 know if this is the last trainer? in other words, do u have to lvl cooking towards 300 trough recipes?

EDIT: Nm, seems fishermen sell nice recipes.

you need 225/225 to get it and be level 40.

The cooking quest now can be gotten from Dirge in Gad at lvl 35, you have to have 225 cooking to get it. And yes, you can only level cooking to 300 via bought/found receipes, no more cooking trainer visits...=P

The experience gained at 39 was 976 not 95, I felt I should mention this since it might knock someone out of their bg bracket.

i have the quest, I have the items, it says in my quest log "Compleated" however i can not turn in the quest because the compleat quest button is greyed out? I am also lvl 40. So is it bugged?

since patch 1.8 you only need to be lvl35 with skill-lvl 225.

Don't know minimum level required. It may be 35 now. All I know is I got the quest yesterday at lvl 38 with 225 cooking skill, so it's definitely less than 40.

For the Horde: After you accept the quest, go to the auction-house and purchase the following items:

12 Giant Egg
10 Zesty Clam Meat

Next, fly to Freewind post in 1000 Needles, in order to buy from the Inn-keeper:

20 Alterac Swiss

Next, fly (or run through the Shimmering Flats) to Gadgetzan in Tanaris to hand in the quest, accept the follow-up and gain your cooking skill and 20 Clamlette Surprise
