This quest reward is simply amazing. It is the ultimate "get-away" final resort. If you complete this quest chain you will love this trinket forever, and I highly suggest you do as it's saved my life 10+ times now.

Once upon a time, this item did a fixed amount of damage, instead of a percent-based amount of damage, while still offering a 60% speed increase. At that time, it was considered a "must-have" pvp item, both for the run speed and for the ability to break various forms of CC. Since the change to do a percent-based health and mana reduction, it is less desirable.

Its primary use now is to keep around and use to try and kill yourself to save durability rather than be killed by NPCs in a raid wipe.

Only 950 exp at lvl 48 but full 5600 for prequest "The Hand, The Star, etc."

I got 2350XP for turning in the digest to Theldurin at level 45. Maybe a patch fixed it.

It's pretty much just a swiftness potion or extra sprint that costs mana and HP. Don't know if it's REALLY worth the effort.

that swifty video said it made him immune to sheep freezing trap scatter shot gouge and blind? was that a enchant or does it actually do that?

this Deals dmg to you over 10 secondes which makes you break every almost very cc out there.

freezing trap and scatter shot both end with dmg
polymorph end with dmg
guage and blind end with dmg

The quest gives good exp through the chain, not to mention your out there grinding anyway, just do it, Don't listen to the whiners

This is a very good item! You can use it in PvP when sheeped/Seduced/Saped, it will remove Sheed/seduce/Sap Becasue its hurts you

There actually is a use for this! When it's 10v1 or 10v0 it happens alot on my sever for wsg, And you need to cap very fast, this could definately come in use.

Does this share teh cool down timer with the Nifty stopwatch? If it doesnt these 2 items would own in flag BG. 60% speed to clear enemy then 40% speed for the last leg.

This item can be used to break Seduce/sheep and other stuff like that, rogue stuns and the like, its probably most useful for warlocks or warriors since they have the most health.

as with the Crystal of Zin-Malor, this one could be used to suicide without losing durability. Handy in raids when it's an obvious wipe.
And as for the amount of damage /mana drain, its a random amount every time you use it, but during the usage, the damage is consistent.

Well, it definitely makes you run fast, but when I tested it, I got hit for 317 damage, Five Times. 1585 damage out of my 2100 or so hit points...not sure if it does that same ammount every time or not, but once was enough. So, I happily vendored it.

The Nifty Stopwatch is much better, even tho it is slower. Imagine, you are running after a Horde who is trying to escape. He is just out of range of spells, so you push the button for the Skull of Impending Doom to catch him...and instead of catching him, you fall over dead...by your Own Hand. Bleh.

Has anyone tried to use VW Sacrifice shield or SpellStone or Power word Shield in conjunction with this item to see if the damage is absorbed?

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...this item became relevant again. If a warlock processes this, he/she can successfully perform the jump in UBRS to skip the Rend fight and summon the rest of the raid to the other side with two rogues or anyone else who has this and doesn't have a speed boosting talent.
