To find Ulathek, all you have to do is walk back down where you came from (back towards the entrance). Eventually you'll see a path that doesn't lead out to the entrance or to Lord Banehallow. You just follow that path and at the end will be Ulathek with about 3 guards. It isn't too hard, so good luck.

East of where the demon guy is, there's a circle room with 2 offshoots. the one at the top, he spawns inside. just wait it out. there are i think 3 gaurds in the room with him that all go agro, so be prepared. I did it at lvl 60, but have to sacrifice the VW and fel domination myslef a new one, so

he is in the same building/underground cave
as the demon boss. he is in one of the side rooms
over a bridge. when you talk to him he says
some trash then goes aggro to you, VW can
start taking some aggro, and not all the mobs in
the instance will aggro you, so i did howl
of terror to break up the group so i could cast
and he drops very fast. sac the vw and run
up the tunnel and after about 30 seconds
the aggro runs back and the mobs are still
green to you, if you used your potion of
jaedanar disguise.

after you talk to the boss guy again next to
the demonboss on the right is the guy you
buy the 150g dust from. dont be dumb like me
and hearth and go to bed, talk to that guy
first buy your 150g dust then hearth ;)

The coordinates are correct. 40, 48 is the correct place to be. However, it's not on the bridge as you would think. It appears many have had the problem that I had, which was they ran out and went to the coords.

While in the Shadow Hold, go back the way you came, after you accept the quest. At one point you'll see a blue Demon, and a bridge on his right (Your left as you leave the Hold), take that bridge, and it will dead end with a small room (just on the other side of the bridge). This is where Ulathek is.

Once you find him, take another shadow potion if yours is less than 5 minutes from expiring. Then make a soulstone, and a healthstone (just to be safe). Talk to ulathek, once he starts attacking, beat him down. Forget the rest of them no matter what your instincts tell you and just beat him down.

As soon as he drops sacrifice your voidwalker, and loot him. Start running, nothing will agro except the ones who are already fighting you - take off running for the Lord, and the other guys will eventually give up and turn around.

Continue to the Lord and do the turn in. Buy your dust and hearth out!

Just finished this quest, so healthstones, no soulstones, no health or mana pots, no problem... Guy is in a small room, there's a larger one, witha room branching off below, a "spiral" ramp, and a bridge to another room, he is in the top room

I had some problems finding the guy, when you're at the Lord go all the way back over the bridges towards the boss with the 2 succys. From there go back 1 more room and you'll notice a bridge going upwards.

Talk to the guy, he and his 3 adds will agro you immediatly after the conversation.

What I did;

1. VW Suffering
2. Howl of Terror
3. SAC VW (Dont have to, but I like to SAC immediatly for no interruption for my spells).
4. Nuke boss (I'm destructo build so conflagrate + shadowburn did most of the job
5. Loot, run with the shield still on ya =P

Didn't use any healthstone or pods in this manner.

Do note that the adds do not go away when their boss is dead, they keep following you untill you either kill them or lose agro.

Potion doesnt run out when fighting this traitor, so other npc's in the area wont agro you when you're running away like a headless chicken from the guy's adds.

Only problem now is.... that some newbie hordes killed the Lord and the vendor guy so waiting for respawn at time of writing lol... 14 minutes of potion left and counting =(

Any level 60 warlock with skill should be able to do this.

All pots / stones are bonus but unnecessary at all.

0/30/21 - 9 minutes from the jaed'nar door to hearthing out of there.

suffering on void, kill the dude, sacrafice, kill one add, fel domination, another void, taunt the other 2 adds, kill them, run back, finish quest, buy stupidly expencive dust, hearth and u have 11 minutes to run about as a purple man :D

See above comment. If you are felguard spec'd, no worries. 40.47 is the bridge, go over it to 41.48 and there he is. Talk to the guy, he'll agro, put felguard on defense and he'll tank all of them. You could DoT them if you want, but don't have to. Felguard will wipe all of them.

easy for a 60 lock
void torment then just let loose on the Ulathek
dot other mobs while you at it and SB the mobs down

no healthstone/Soulstone used

this is joke now with BC.. at lvl 63 with the felguard i went in there and just destroyed all of them, barely even hurt us.

Me and my Fel Guard killed them all without any type of healing.

I also noticed that the imp didn't attack.

It is even easier to just destroy this guy, loot, and drink another potion to make you friendly again. Anything aggro will immediately be your best friend again.

No. What real warlocks do is cancel the potion effect, Enslave Banehollow, and get him to kill Ulathek himself. Obscenely satisfying.

And Lord B. is so powerful that he can slaughter the whole crowd by himself. Just be sure to tag the named so you can lewt him.

Lord Banehollow was immune to enslave demon when i tried

Ulathek is at 40.48 in small room across short bridge. You go left at this bridge when heading for Lord Banehollow.

Can't attack Ulathek or his buddies while Friendly to Jaednar. Right click your "mask" buff to cancel the friendly to Jaednar affect, or wait til the affect wears off.

He has three 52-ish buddies and and a imp. He is a 57.

At base of bridge, before crossing, is a 55 Jaednar Legionnarire (felguard) and a 52 Enforcer.

If you haven't already done so, get the quest for kiling Lord Fel'dan. Can get at Emerald Sanctaury ( I Think ) , southern Felwood. He is at 39.46, on way to Lord Banehollow. He is the one guarded by two female succubi.

6200 XP at level 62.

Get quest: Xorothian Stardust from Lord Banehollow.

Ur'dan stand next to him. time to fork up the 150 gold. Now back to the Burning Steppes.

In order to save some gold, a friend and I just killed everything up to Lord Banehollow,
I drank the potion, went back and killed Ulathek, this was fairly easy, robe of the void + quest greens.
I used my imp and one healthstone. Then ran back and got the dust.

Easy and quck.

While buffed with the Taint of Shadow, you can talk to Ulathek to aggro him and his guards without losing the buff or becoming hostile to the rest of Jaedenar. Fighting those four or five minions at once may look tough, but I pulled it off with Howl of Terror plus dots.

Prove that you serve me and not my rivals. Confront Ulathek in his quarters, in the Shadow Hold to the west. Tell him that I know his secret and watch as fear grips him. Then, bring me the traitor's heart!
