These elixirs require 3 ghost mushrooms each.

If you are an herbalist/alch and wish to gather them, I suggest going to Skulk Rock in the Hinterlands. There are a decent number of them there, and they respawn relatively quick.

If you are a herbalist and not an alchemist I still reccomend you gather a few to sell on AH since buying the pots on AH can be a little pricey. Hopefully you know an alchemist and don't have to purchase them.

Why pay more? :-)

After you turn in all 3 quest for the dreadsteed you will recieve this quest. https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=7630

Be sure to bring 3 Arcanite Bars with you or you will be flying back to UC to pick up 3 on the AH and flying back.

Everything for this quest costs alot. I tried to only buy these mushrooms at 1g a pop, but took 1 1/2 weeks to gather all the materials.

It gets worse when buying the dark iron :(

For 10 elixirs of shadow power, an alchemist needs 30 ghost mushrooms (can be found in Dire Maul & Maraudon instances, as well as many 40+ cave areas) and 10 crystal vials. The vials are 45-50s total, give or take depending on reputation. The mushrooms are considerably more pricey... on the server I play on, Deathwing, they run ~1.5g apiece, so that's around 45g for all ten to be made if you don't have herbalism, not including tip... so make friends with an alchemist.

Locks with a gathering profession: It took me just a few hours to drop skinning, level up herbalism, and farm Maura for enough ghost mushrooms for this.

Haven't decided if I'm going to keep herbs or go back to skinning, but I can't wait until Tuesday.

I first did this back in Vanilla and had a blast, but decided to be a bit more prepared this time around. I thought I'd share my notes in case they might be helpful to anyone else. TL;DR at bottom. Cheers.

10 x Elixirs of Shadow Power (Alchemy 250) (30 x Ghost Mushroom (Herbalism 245) + 10 x Crystal Vial) - Recipe Sold by Maria Lumere (Limited supply (1)) in SW /way Stormwind 46.6, 78.8 - A good place to pick Ghost Mushrooms is caves in Hinterlands.

Descrizione

A Bell of Dethmoora, named after the late warlock Dethmoora Darkeyes, is one of the three tools needed to create a Circle of Greater Summoning. When properly atuned with the Wheel and the Candle, these items conduct vast stores of arcane power.

My servant Gorzeeki can construct such a bell, but to do so he will need a large supply of elixirs of shadow power. Procure the elixirs from an alchemist and bring them to Gorzeeki.
