This quest requires the skill level of 10 for Leatherworking for it to be accessible.

You can find Veren Tallstrider inside the tent of Thunder Bluff Armorers which is the large tent directly NorthWest of the high rise (look on map to see tent NW of high-rise). I came prepared with t he ingredients for the quest and was able to complete it right then and there.

Took me ages to find him. Hope this helps some else!

I'm pretty sure this quest is only possible if you are a leatherworker. If you know differently please post.

I tried to do this quest so I could get my alliance leatherworker the pattern.

No go,you need leatherwork and skinning to take the quest, so I had my lowbie friend take it and gave him the mats for it.

I found that this quest required 10 points of skill in leatherworking to get. So, you could either make 10 pieces of light leather from 30 pieces of ruined leather scraps, or 10 light armor kits, or some combination thereof. ~_^

Just did this quest and until I hit 10 in Leatherworking the exclamation point did not show up.

How come this isn't listed under the tradeskill quests? It's the only low-level Horde leatherworking quest I know of.

Need from 10-30 in Leatherworking also. I had 9, couldn't get the quest. Got up to 30, checked back and was able to get the quest. Just uncertain of the exact amount needed.

GaresXenic is right, ir requires leatherworking 10. I tried to get the quest at 9, but I couldn't, and when i got it to 10, the quest was available. But the item requires 40 leatherworking to use anyway, so you can wait for it to get the quest

Hmmm, hard to imagen i missed this quest..well, with 273 leather working, im going to try to get as much stuff in as possable. Even though i might not use it. Still, it would be awsome to be able to make everything a leather-wearer needs.

I got the quest at level 11 with 11 Leatherworking, so I assume the requirement to be level 11. Also, you don't need to finish the Gathering Leather quest before getting this one, I was able to get both at the same time.

Most (not all) Cooking recipes on the Alliance side are sold by Kendor Kabonka. The Horde do not have a corresponding NPC, so if you are an Alliance character wanting to create an alt on the opposite side to obtain the recipes for your main, unfortunately you'll have to have a level appropriate character to do the quests to obtain some of these recipes.

All of the recipes except one (Plans: Orcish War Leggings) can be traded cross-faction on the neutral AH.
