You'll find they're really all over around the mountains, and can often be found in good bulk south of the mountains. See this link to get a better idea:

The mosshoof coursers i found wandering on 64,22 till 73,32
I had to kill 7 to get the 4 courser glands...so an easy drop.

P.S. also seen 1 on location 54,30

I was looking at my rep with CC while working on the quest. I had to kill about 10 of them, but I didn't lose any reputation with them.

Quite a few of them at 37,70 and alot safer. (No hostile 55 elite giants running around)

Names aren't hard, and I'll share them without the air of arrogance. How's that for a fresh breath of something?

You're looking east of where you got the quest -- Ursolan and the Legash Encampment. They're not plentiful, but they're there. I've had to kill a ton of them to get even 2, though, so this supposed "high drop rate", I'm not seeing it.

They're noth eastish of the guy you get the quest off. they look like dear. Look for the Thunderhead Skystomer mobs (griffins)

Ok - here's the big secret for those who can't seem to put 2 and 2 together.

Go back to the top of the page.
Click on the link provided - Healthy Courser Gland
That will pull up the Thott page that shows what critters drop these - turns out there's 2 levels of Mosshoof Coursers that can drop them
Each of the critters than can drop them has a "map" link next to them - click on that link and you're presented a map of the area with the known locations of the critters highlighted.

It's just that s i m p l e.

I killed about 10 coursers in the northern most area and got nothing. Later on, I tried the southern area and got all 4 glands from about 9 kills. The drop rate should be the same in both areas, I know! But I would suggest the southern area. you have to avoid the elites and other nasties, but it worked for me! :)

Found some at 51,27, only needed to kill 6 of em.

So, taking the combined advice from above...
I found Ongtinc by following the cliff ring that sourounds The Ruins of Eldarath to the North and East. He's a Timbermaw type creature (but no reputation bounus) and can be found at about the farthest eastern and northern part of the cliffs above Eldarath.

Then I headed off to gather some Courser Glands. I found a bunch of Mosshoof Coursers (lvl 52-53s) due east of Forlorn Ridge. Pretty easy bunch, not much of anything else running around.

So I killed 1, nothing. Then the next 3 dropped glands, then killed 11 more for the last (4th) gland to drop. And they respawn at a decent rate, but not quickly.

Bring an Incor of Undeath with you and turn it in right away at the end of this quest. Rested, it was the easiest 10200xp I ever earned.

4/4, went to 35,65. Nothing around to aggro, killed 4 received 4 glands. Very easy. Lvl 50 shadow priest.

I killed those ones around 46,22 (i think) and got 3 in 3 kills, then 2 kills for one more so idk why you guys say it has like a 0.5% drop rate. also got 5100 exp at lvl 53 for turning it in

Blizzard must hate holy priests. I'm writing this as I do it, and have had about one in every three smites resisted, it's really annoying. But no, I like being holy anyway. And so far good droprate for me, plenty at 51, 24

This is also an Alliance quest, and the coursers are just south of the Ruins of Elderath

1st took about 8 kills to drop. Then moved to the area around Thalassian Base Camp (53, 27) and the remaining 3 dropped in 3 kills.

I went to the above locations plenty of coursers..took about 30 kills.Strange that i had to kill and get those to drop and 0exp on the turn in.The rewards are not that nice as to do 3 parts of a quest with no exp reward.I dont know if the next part has exp reward,but at my lvl 50 im looking to get exp or why do it?silly me thinks

I HATE THIS FREAKIN QUEST! I've managed to grind 3 full bars of exp killing these sons of @#$%^es and i've picked up a whoping 2 healthy courser glands....just my luck....or lack of luck rather....hope nobody else has the same problem with this quest as i have had thus far

ran north, killed 6 coursers w/out aggro'n any birds although I had a few Timbermaws come after me ... and no, I didnt kill any of them. Had the 4 glands and was back in no more than five minutes. lvl50 SP. Says more coursers to the south, but if you run north towards the cliffs, the mobs are pretty spread out.

- Travel to Azshara & turn in to Ogtinc.
Of Coursers We Know
- Picked up by Ogtinc (Azshara).
- Loot 4 Healthy Courser Gland from grinding Mosshoof Courser Azshara.
- Turn back in to Ogtinc (Azshara).
The Ichor of Undeath
- Picked up by Ogtinc (Azshara).
- Grind out 1 Ichor of Undeath from Undeads south-west of questgiver or just buy one from the Auction House.
- Turn back in to Ogtinc (Azshara).
Blood of Morphaz
- Picked up by Ogtinc (Azshara).
- Find group for Sunken Temple dungeon and loot Blood of Morphaz from Morphaz.
- Turn in to Greta Mosshoof (Felwood).
- Get your hard earned Blessed Prayer Beads / Woestave / Circle of Hope.

The mosshoof coursers of Azshara are magnificent animals who once lived in Felwood. They naturally resist disease and poison, and were unaffected by the corruption there. In their ancestral wisdom, they simply chose to leave that sickened place.

It saddens my heart, but I must ask you to hunt these mighty beasts for me. Gather four courser glands as the first ingredient for a restorative salve -- a salve we will use to heal Felwood.
