If i am right,in order to summon them,you need the cultist set which drops off of members of twilight hammer and you summon them from the windstones while wearing the 3 items from that set.

Are there any pre-conditions for this quest? I've done all the tactical quests I need to do except this one. Do you just keep getting orders signed until this quest drops?

I just kept doing quests till I got this one.

Like most quests does the duke slaying part have to be done 5man? I hope not, but i suspect so. Has anyone successfuly completed it a raid?

3man'ed all 4 dukes.
Mage/Warrior/Priest - all are in BWL/MC gears
well.. 5man is pretty easy..down a duke in less than 3mins

Dukes must be killed in a 5man group in order to get quest credit- of course.

From the patch notes:

Drop frequencies for Tactical Task Briefing V and Logistics Task Briefing XI have been improved considerably. These were needed for the Mark of Cenarius and the Mark of Remulos, their drop rates are now comparable to the other task briefings.

Can anyone confirm if this drops from doing field duty or if it only drops from a followup tactical quest?

I've been doing looooooooots of field duty quests now (almost exalted) and I've noticed and are 100% sure that you get this quest as followup from Hive'Regal Scout Report.

I feel ya man. I have everything for epic except Lucky number V. I am on 48 tactical badge. It makes me want to quit the game. I have so much invested in that stupid epic.

i was talking to a friend and he thought i need to finish the broodlord quests b4 i could get this quest can any1 confirm that they've got this tactical task V and not done the BWL broodlord head Q please so i can carry on grinding for this Quest and not be racking my brain wondering if i need to do that quest first? its nothing to do with the badges quests but i would still like to know wheather this is some sort of a requirment before i can pick it up or anything thx ..... ill also post if i get the quest in the meantime and find out for myself

He said it is a completely random drop. He would not say off a tactical or follow up tactical. He did confirm that it doesn't have anything to do with this quest.

It finally dropped today off of the Hive Zora Scout quest. I had 66! tactical badges before this sob dropped. I need to kill 4 dukes and I finally got my ring.

I did my 1st tatical assignement and as the followup assignment i got the V assignemnt hear with the four of dukes. =)

My husband just got this quest from turning in his very first tactical assignment. so, that was his first followup assignment. Go figure, people have posted 66 tacticals before recieving this.

My question does this come from the greater windstone, regular windstone or what? Besides the clothing garb is anything else required to be equipped before summoning?

I just got "A Humble Offering" Killing the Lord of the abyssal council. Not a word posted on this one.

how do you have to summon the dukes? just got the quest but i have no ckue how to summon them.
i'm neutral with CH does this have a impact

IT is telling me I do not meet the requirements. I do not have it in my quest log. I got a GM to assist me and he said there are pre-reqs.. what are they?

u have to get a ring go to the camps go to the big stones and click and they pop up and u need 40 or 20 or something like that

I highly recommend picking up a Scepter of Beckoning: <ElementalType> for each type of duke before doing this quest. I killed 21 dukes before I got the Duke of Thunder (my 4th type of duke). Having the scepters of beckoning forces the duke of the corresponding elemental type to be summoned.

I could have saved a lot of time and gold (buying twilight cultist gear) buy getting the scepters in advance.

Question: Are the quests available forever after the gates open, or only during the Shifting Sands Event?

The Duke of Cynders, The Duke of Zephyrs, and The Duke of Shards can all be 2-manned by competent BWL geared players (healer and dps). The Duke of Fathoms should be 3-manned at a minimum due to constant threat drops.

Find a way to summon and slay the Duke of Cynders, the Duke of Fathoms, the Duke of Zephyrs and the Duke of Shards and report back to Commander Mar'alith in Cenarion Hold. You must also bring Tactical Task Briefing V in order to complete this quest.
